Ugly. It looks like one of the officers grabbed him around the throat, and then they tell him to “relax.” Why do officers carry out orders with sadistic enthusiasm, when it’s really in their interest as working class persons to let ABC get a story out about big money from big donors, possibly going against their interests and their families, in a system that is supposed to be “free, fair and democratic”?

I just heard the last part of Al Gore’s speech. It was good, but he sounded like he was in a hurry. He didn’t slow down, like Hillary did, to milk the lines that needed milking– didn’t really give the crowd time to supply the applause that they wanted to on some of his quips.

I especially liked his line about the Constitution (sorry, no script, and my fingers aren’t as quick as Marcy’s).
