I’m amazed how positive the coverage is tonight. Wait till tomorrow then Tom Brokaw, Brian Williams and Joe Scarborough tear into them.
I liked that Bill Clinton said we needed to renew our fight against HIV and AIDS here at home in America. With all the necessary work America is doing in Africa, we have neglected the fight at home. It’s not at all surprising, considering where the epidemic has migrated, that the Bush Administration would deprioritize the fight (think Katrina) and it was great to hear Clinton’s call.
We can end AIDS at home, and we must.

Perhaps it’s the fact that I have kids around the same age as Biden’s were when the tragedy happened or what, but the Beau Biden intro and rest of the Biden family turned me into a blubbering mess. Just can’t imagine going through that…
So between Obama’s breathtaking story, and now learning about Biden’s, I’ve never felt so much closeness to a Prez ticket in my life. Not even close.
And to top it off, Alan Grayson dominated his primary this week also. What a fantastic week so far, and we haven’t even had the main event. More and Better!!!

Reminds me of an incident I witnessed. A 5yr old little boy I know needed to go to the bathroom while we were on the beach. His mom told him to go in the lake. He kept protesting but she was adamant. A minute later she was horrified to see him stand at the water’s edge, pull out his little pecker in front of a 1000 people and whiz in the lake.

There’s constant bitching about Conglomerate Media coverage and the incredible slant toward BigMoney interests. I think most here understand why this is the case (I hope they do at least).
So why keep paying for it?!?! Get rid of the “cable” or dish and pocket half that money each month, and give the other half to FDL. To restore the Constitution, one of our most important tasks is to diminish the influence of the BigMoney Noize Machine and educate as much of the electorate as possible. This takes changes in behaviour on a mass scale. Only way it’ll happen.

I’m in a really good mood. Probably the best I’ve been in for years. So, I hate to be contrary, but let me be the first to say that I think Olberman is getting obnoxious. Humiliating co-workers on national tv crosses the line of decency. He didn’t argue facts, he cut them off at the knees. And the criticism that his show (which I still watch and value) is an echo chamber is valid.
