Video’s up — these have all been great tonight. I mean, they’re usually good, but whoever put them together did nice work this year.

This evening has been SO encouraging and energizing, but of course I’m watching C-Span and avoiding all the Vastly Idiotic Pundits. The attacks have been coming in a crescendo, which makes me feel even more encouraged about tomorrow. I hope that Biden knocks it out of the park (he’s certainly capable) and sets the stage for tomorrow.

As I said downstairs, I’m not particularly proud of my party or my gender. Yuck.

I actually think Pelosi’s laugh is kind of cute.

Since when does every speech end with “God Bless America?” Did that happen before 9/11? I truly can’t remember it being the perpetual tag line before then but I could be wrong.

It was pretty good but not the best speech of the night IMO.

In this regard it was a successful speech.

I’m glad Obama was there in person. It was cute but there was something slightly Orwellian (or George Jetson, if you prefer) about having Michelle and the kids talk to him on the big TV screen.

I kinda liked seeing the older one try to figure out if it was a TV or a movie screen.
