What is on Barack Obama’s iPod?
Bob Dylan, Jay-Z, Howlin’ Wolf, Yo-Yo Ma, Sheryl Crow, Miles Davis and Charlie Parker may have little in common musically but they each have a place in the “pretty eclectic” selection on Senator Barack Obama’s iPod.

The Democratic presidential nominee told “Rolling Stone” magazine that his iPod also contained tracks from singers and groups he grew up listening to in the 1970s, including the Rolling Stones, Elton John and Earth, Wind & Fire.

He named Stevie Wonder as his biggest musical influence from the era while his favourite “Rolling Stones” track was “Gimme Shelter”.

“If I had one musical hero, it would have to be Stevie Wonder,” Mr Obama said.

Still… if it’s banned… Someone did something really dumb. As far as I know, no USA horses were implicated. But I think one or 2 were medal winners. I assume in the jumping/cross-country ranks. Those cross-country courses can be rough, tho this Olympics looked pretty reasonable.

Watching the dressage takes me back. Still miss my gal. We trained eachother, essentially, & ended up just lovin’ it – BOTH of us – and, ahem, beating a goodly number of the folks who took the fancy lessons. Takes a smart and athletic horsie, heh. She was the smartest I ever met, and the sweetest. Just a little sprite of an Arab, horse size as long as she had her shoes on, heh.
