After watching Claire McCaskill in a polite, extremely competent performance get smacked around by Tom Ridge, I had to concede to myself that the number one requirement in a veep candidate is his/her brawling ability. Isn’t there a saying about the first priority in governing is getting elected? Biden is a big mouth, wisecracking white guy who happens to know a hell of a lot about foreign policy.
