All this blog anominity is kind of goofy anyway. I’d just as soon put myself out there as who I am. You know?

I think that we get a pretty good feel for our interlocutors here, even with their “handles”.

There is too much danger exposing oneself to the nutters out there. Alas, one could get oneself killed! What matter if I talk with “mossrose” or with Mrs D G Smith? Same person, unless one abuses the relative anonymity. And if it comes to a law violation, it is easy enough to determine with whom one has been commenting.

I have noted from time to time in various venues that certain people are very exercised by not knowing precisely with whom they are interacting online. And those people have invariably been trolls and flame war specialists.
