The talking heads all nod toward the fact that one’s philosophy regarding the origins and nature of the universe , as well as correct U.S. reaction to resurgence of the nuclear armed and beligerant Russia, might involve nuance. However, McCain apparently won the week on both foreign affairs and religion with simplistic sound bites. Maybe we’re just too dumb to sustain a democracy.</p> This has been a discouraging few days.
