Part I (90% of the text) is all of the indications that the Son of Cain is the anti-christ. Part II (5% of the text) why he is not. Part III is all about how the anti-christ is only manipulating things so that it APPEARS that all of the signs are in place for the rapture to occur, a cruel hoax to trick the Christian right into aiding and abetting his devilish schemes, only to crush their hopes yet again. The only way to express true Christian virtue is to shun Satan and vote for the other guy.</p> I see a three part tome. I believe that I have found the answer.<br /> It is my belief that the majority of Americans are at least vaguely aware of the tradition of reporting non-news on the news, i.e. “there is a story out of … that so-and-so did this or that”. They aren’t reporting news per se, they are reporting re reporting. These news items are almost always accompanied by, “More on this as it comes in” and an unnamed source.<br /> We are also aware of the cannibalistic feeding frenzy that goes on when a news outlet gets caught in a glaring mistake. NBC and ABC had a field day nobly refraining from critical comment while piling on CBS during the Dan Rather brouhaha.<br /> The solution is the formation of an organization, the sole purpose of which is to report non-news that is close enough to the truth as to be sufficiently plausible to hook the fish. Whether the fish is Fox, CNN, ABC, or any of the others, the rest will pile on. Hook one with this non-news, another with another, and soon the media will be destroying each other’s credibility. The result will be embarrassment, chagrin, and a reluctance to report on stuff that has not been verified.<br /> If someone can throw together a book documenting the fact that Obama is not the anti-Christ, someone else can assemble a tome documenting that McCain is not a Nazi, or a Communist, or in the throes of Alzheimer’s. He is acknowledged to be a gifted speaker and negotiator.<br /> Inasmuch as Satan is supposed to be very persuasive, and to rarely show his true identity, it is much more likely that Mr. McCain is the smooth-talking Anti-Christ, cleverly disguised as a doddering septuagenarian who has difficulty putting two sentences together without stumbling over his dentures.
