Depends Arizona is a Western state If Obama were to sew things up before Arizona votes then GOP voting numbers would be depressed.
Ohio, Florida and Indiana all might go our way we pick up any 2 of those states along with everything Gore and Kerry won and its over.

Yes. He is scary horrible too. This guy is Arpaio with a law degree and really deep set right wing nutjob principles. Arpaio is an ass, but he is out for himself, not necessarily dogmatic. Here is the latest polling by the best guy in Arizona hands down, Bruce Merrill. He hasn’t run Arpaio since April 29; but this is about where I figure it is right now. Bruce has him at about 59-60%. Arapio may take a further hit; but I doubt he will drop below 55-57%.

I know Saban, he is not a bad guy. He has been at this a while though. There is some old dirt that Arpaio will trump up; and, as you say, will goon squad him some too. I wish it were otherwise, but Saban will lose by at least 10% I think. A more likely place for optimism is in getting rid of Andrew Thomas, Arpaio’s youth Nazi sidekick County Attorney. That alone would put a huge dent in Arpaio. Tim Nelson is a good candidate; this is a race that will be much more competitive.

Arpaio pays a 6 figure income to one of his media persons to make sure he has good press, couple that with his cousin as a lead writer for the Arizona Republic(ian) ….. the ONLY local news paper that puts anything out is the Phoenix New Times and they have paid for it too….. google the first amendment right violations of the editors of the PNT…. arrested for printing a story about Arpaio.
