As it so happens, I used to work in the commercial Real Estate industry and worked for a competing developer (for those who are familiar with the Phoenix area, maybe you remember the “road to nowhere” in “Sun Valley” way out west). Several people I worked with had previously worked for Keating, and they said he was such a nice man. He would call and have a nice lunch brought in for everyone that worked in the main office, about 50-90 people most Fridays. She thought it was wonderful…until she realized that was, in essence, his way of raiding the coffers of Lincoln Savings. It’s that kind of arrogant egotism that caused the entire problem for Lincoln. Especially when you consider the wording of one of his company’s memos that the people selling their junk bonds in the lobby of Lincoln Savings Banks should consider their target market to be the weak, the meek, and the ignorant.

Ooooh, that does sound lovely. Will look for that — thanks! Decided to go with the old stand-by — chicken souvlaki. Have it marinating at the moment, will throw together some quick tzatziki (yogurt/cucumber sauce) and use the grill pan for the chicken and some zucchini and cherry tomatoes. Then, all I need is some pita and a little hummus and…bingo!

I say just slap together some peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches and call it a nice healthy dinner.

you know my parents had no clue what was and was not healthy when I was growing up, I had peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches every single day

my mom used to swear the only healthy part of an egg was the yellow and the white was worthless

my dad use to peal the skin off the chicken and give it to us because “it was the best part”

and whenever my mom broiled steak we would skoop up the fat with bread or spoon it out and have it straight

my mom also use to let the chocolate pudding cool on the window in individual cups and they would develope a hard 1/4″ coating which I always considered the best part

only later did I find out most people don’t think it’s good pudding if it has that layer

Do you mean singularly ‘pathetic’?

Or equally, ‘pathetic’?

The responses were remarkably similar, almost like the amazingly similar MSM reportages, on many, many occassions.

You know as if they were from the same ‘play’ book?

We are not quite yet to Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dumber, but it is still early in the ‘game’ …
