“I was looking at the Sturgis schedule and noticed that you have a beauty pageant and so I encouraged Cindy to compete,” McCain said to cheers from the (mostly male) crowd. “With a little luck, she could be on the only woman ever to serve as both the first lady and Miss Buffalo Chip.”
Which raises the question: does he know about the Miss Buffalo Chip pageant — or not?
The “Miss Buffalo Chip Beauty Pageant – Bikinis on the Beach” was described by Jim Caple of EPSN as "essentially a topless beauty pageant. And occasionally bottomless, too."
I guess nine-houses-a-job-for-his-son-and-a-jet-plane buy you absolutely no respect at all.

He’s taking a play right out of Bush’s book. Worked for Bush. Frat boys unite! You have nothing to lose but your girlfriend’s panties.
..and amazing. And this guy thinks he should be President, fer gawd’s sake?
Well…he does consider her a trollop and a *unt.
A buffalo chip is a buffalo turd.
Is he giving her a backhanded compliment…i.e., insulting her?
I can see why those Clinton backers who are now voting McSame would want to vote for Panama John. Clearly, McSame is more ready to lead than Obama.
Vote for McCaine, the husband of Miss Buffalo shit!
Two words come to mind – CLUE FREE….
CNN just said we are in “stagflation”….Ian predicted it the other day…
those Buffalo gals go ’round the outside, ’round the outside
the Sturgis a success. the Sturgis a success.
Must have taken some mighty self-control amid all that biker testosterone to avoid those words when he volunteered her for the contest….
Can’t believe the whole thing… What was it the woman in Being There said:
She’s got that right.
“Take my wife — please!”
McTireGauge is in his dotage.
The current BAGnewNotes talks about how in the midst of so much debauchery and female exploitation, the most embarrassing photo the MSM could come up with was the McCains perusing mildly risque t-shirts in the gift shop. In the unlikely event that Obama attended such an event, the news coverage would leave viewers with the impression the candidate had personally participated in the oil-wrestling.

Hey Teddy, I responded to you last thread…
Rush Holt is all over the anthrax issue, and he is a scientist.
He’s also got an emergency election audit for 2008 bill coming up. Seems like a cool guy.
Did Cindy Lou win the contest? Sounds kinda like Rodeo Queen.
as watertiger will attest, McCindy’s wardrobe is bad enough. it is not axiomatic, however, that any of us would benefit from her doffing of same in public.
As I have said before, attending this event has to qualify as one of the worst campaign stop decisions ever. Now he has compounded it with this idiotic statement. I suspect that he has no idea what the Miss Buffalo Chip Contest is (a topless beauty pageant). Now he has either revealed himself to be a revolting cad or totally clueless.
Did John McSame step in the buffalo chips w/ his $520 Ferragamos
LOL!!!
Strange as this sounds, this visit to Sturgis is a brilliant move on McCain’s part. He’ll pick up a lot of uncommitted votes in the biker crowd just for showing up, and shore up his support in this fairly conservative demographic. I know a few of these guys, they will think this is just too cool. I seriously doubt Cindy would get nekid on stage there, but if she takes the stage at all, even in a nun’s habit, he wins votes and it costs him next to nothing.
To Cindy’s credit, she made McCain sign a pre-nup stating that her assets would remain in her name. That wasn’t as common back in 1980. On the other hand, she hasn’t dumped him despite the fact that among other things, he belittles her in public. It’s difficult to understand.
He gains the votes of some “conservative” bikers; how many votes does he lose from the Xtianists? And how many of those bikers are actually registered to vote?
For a former mistress?
I totally agree with you.
I sure hope she wins Queen of the Buffalo turdblossoms though…I think he wants these guys to think that he’s a T and A man….manly man….why else volunteer your *unt, trollop blonde heiress wife to something so vapid.
McTittyman
Watch Obama’s campaign gurus panic that they are losing the Harley crowd.
McThirdterm walked onstage buck nekkid because he thought he was invited as a cameo for the local production of The Full Monty.
Good news! And thanks for the lead on this story as well.
And ratfood, I love bagnewsnotes. That’s a particularly good catch, today.
Parents across this great land, your little girl could be married to the prznit and a steady diet of chips.
goodgawd whut an ignoramus! And I don’t mean the flub below.
whut is this magic that keeps them together?
Ah HAH! She’s on a power trip! Without her, he’s got nuttin’. With her, he gets to play with the controls.
Travel at yer own risque, chump.
Co-dependency…he’s been verbally abusive…she believes the lies he tells her about herself…and he believes what she tells him about himself to please him. She’s been an addict. She’s not been a happy camper. Money can’t buy you that…the wealthy are certainly not immune. Kinda sad.
Shake yer moneymaker for the boys, baby.
What a guy.
That might explain the pre-nup, if not why she hasn’t booted him down the road.
awwwwww. ya think?
beg to disagree hon. i’m bettin’ bikers in general have more sense than ta’ vote caint-wise, unless for cin.
mebbe, as an accessory, she gits ta’ write off all doze purty duds from gay paireee. some rich jus’ caint git enuf.
You have probably nailed it. First Couple material for sure.
Thank you!
I’m thinkin’ about that “spread” she did in the magazine, I don’t remember which one, where she was trying to look all sexy and she’s barefoot..there were some nice pictures of her actually. But for her to have to lower herself to that level to get her husband elected is sort of…weird….
I think Cindy’s probably a pretty cool woman, who’s done some daring things in her life (like marry John), but I think she has a fundamental lack of self esteem on some levels that money can’t fix…McTitty likes “lookers”…that is why he left his first wife when she wasn’t lookin’ so good and had an affair with her…she must worry about what happens as she ages…so she needs to constantly reinforce that…besides, she was recently faced with the Vicki Iseman rumors….I don’t believe for a minute that she wasn’t concerned that the rumors were true…I don’t know if they were, but she is acting like a Stepford wife, and that is because John McTitty holds her self esteem in his hands…which is why he could insult her publicly and she would stay with him. He is the McMeany control freak.
I’m almost sure that Cindy’s father would have advised her to do a pre-nup at the time of their marriage…McTitty had a reputation as a player…and he wanted to protect his daughter.
I need PROOF, PROOF I tell you
otherwise I am not buying it
PROOF!
Cindy Lou is my age. When I was in high school, long blonde hair was the thing. Many of us even bleached our hair…but most of us outgrew it once high school was over.
Judging by Cindy’s constant looks of “longing” into the distance and her drug abuse, something tells me a production of “Half Nelson” would be more appropriate for McCocaine.
Ed Schultz just played the audio of McCain saying this & the crowd’s reaction. My stomach is hurting from laughing.
UM, I believe that oughtta be present tense, that abooshiv stuff.
the stench from his voice-over smells of vicious bile.
does he HAVE to do that to stay up and on message?
ya think he might have a tendency to nod off otherwise?
vote for 4-more-yrs of riveting, wall-to-wall filth?
This here is seriously misdirected campaining.
Caint he just go bowling instead of throwing the potential 1st gal in the gutter?
John and Cindy’s relationship stands in unflattering contra to Dubya and Laura, which is saying something. Bush doesn’t appear to respect many people but he respects his wife, at least in public. In exchange, she props him up when his ego alone is insufficient for the task. Blind loyalty, the trait he values most.
Is there video or audio of this anywhere?
I don’t remember pictures of Laura Bush like this:
http://media3.washingtonpost.c…..603356.jpg
don’t laugh.
this. is. sick.
seriously. sick.
Parents. Don’t let yer chilluns grow up to be repugnicans!
looks like I misplaced the “st” in “contrast.” So sorry.
I do think he respects Laura. I don’t think for a minute that he is abusive to her in any way at all. She is very sure of herself.
Cindy….not so much. McGigalo….abusive.
ET: I just heard it on the Ed Schultz radio show. HIlarious. I still can’t stop laughing. There has to be a video of this showing up somewhere very soon. I can’t wait.
Oooh, that’s funny!
I’m out, splendid day to all.
New Jane upstairs
On second thought, don’t you think a man of his stature, his experience, his sophistication would ask some questions before he volunteered his wife in a competition of this nature? If he’s this reckless with someone that should be the most important person in his life, what does that say about his potential as a President? Could it be that this man jumps to conclusions without thoughtful consideration to the consequences? Or, does this prove the onset of Alzheimers? Perhaps dimentia?
In short, this incident should be so politically useful that it’s not even funny! I can see the ads already!
Oh this is good…and it has the video too:
http://www.dailykos.com/storyo…..569/562859
I think McTitty just steeped in a whole lot of dung.
funny!
and REALLY funny pic.
THAT doesn’t look like ANYWHERE in Sturgis I ever saw!!!!!
LOL>
s
Now what would the press have done if Obama had been the candidate to go to Sturgis?
see:
http://koulflo.wordpress.com/2…..ack-obama/
I can’t imagine that David Gregory will state that McCain is ‘pimping out his wife’ for votes.
-G
Ooops. David Shuster.
Sorry Stretch, go back to dancing for MC Rove.
-G
Another *conservative Christian voter for John McCain.
-G
*Sturgis attendee
Whoot! That’s it! Thanks. I kept lookin’ & squintin’ at the pic. We’ve been thru Sturgis, and even stopped for a meal as i recall.
Nope. That pic ain’t remotely near Sturgis, not to mention all the button-downs in the crowd of fauxfans.
LOL!
Good golly. What’s the record for campain foul-ups all in one 24 hr. period.
Ladies & Gents, I think we have a winnah!
it’s not quite coctail hour yet, but i’ll just jump right in anyway.
I fear your conservative voter there might have a few insurmountable problems with the new-fangled touch-screen voting machines. Do you think she might require assistance? Under what criteria, may I inquire?
Sincerely,
Ms MannersPrim Lady Who Hasn’t Eaten All Day and wishes to be nice and skinny like the better half of the mccaint household.[honest - pleading low blood sugar here]
I read Holt’s news page and submited a response to him – thanking him for his action on requesting information from the authorities on the anthrax matter…I also indicated that I thought this botched investigation and apparent lying by the administration might be the “smoking gun” of the Bush thugs, akin to the break in of the Watergate in Nixon’s time. I’m not from Holt’s district, of course, but I think responses to him from any state will let him know this is a big deal with Americans across the board.
umm, looking at the scene… is this the biggest audience for a McCain appearance yet?
certainly the biggist I’ve seen in a couple of months
has he finally found his niche?
Sturgis is a walkable community (small)… that audience was many times the normal Sturgis population, campers making an almost captive audience. They had not come to the Buffalo Chip for politics. McCain didn’t draw them to him, he was inserted into a lucky spot.
Well ya know, even if she doesn’t get voted Mrs Buffalo Chip, she can always apply for a job shakin her money makers for the rednecks at the Booby Bungalow in Ardmore, Tennessee! I heard they have an opening since their leading dancer, “Bo Dacious”, got bit by a rattlesnake…
Any pics?
I can’t believe I can say this after what this country has been through for the last 8 years. But John McSame is even dumber than Bush. Some of the idiotic things he’s said over the last 5 or 6 months make the shrub sound like genius by comparison. He doesn’t bother to check out his stupid remarks, he just shoots his mouth off. I guess the thing that really pisses me off is the so called MSM lets the old Bastard off the hook.
Can you imagine Jack dragging Jackie to something like this? Jimmy taking Rosalin? Bill taking Hill? The old fart is a thoughtless, clueless non-entity.
McCain’s Record of Vet Support Just Another Buffalo Chip
John McCain’s campaign for president recently took him to the annual Sturgis biker rally where he spoke with veterans at the Buffalo Chip Campground. He could not have picked a more appropriate setting to offer up his wife, Cindy McCain, for a topless beauty contest and brag about his record of supporting veterans. He failed on both counts, however, to give these veterans the full McCain:
Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America has given John McCain a grade of D for his support of veterans:
http://www.iava.org/full-ratings-list
Disabled Veterans of America gave him a 20% rating on support for veterans while giving Obama an 80% rating:
http://www.capwiz.com/dav/scorecard.xc
Per Vietnam Veterans of America John McCain has “voted against us” in 15 key votes:
http://www.vva.capwiz.com/election/home/
John McCain is one of the few veterans running for office that VoteVets has refused to endorse:
http://www.votevets.org
Another veteran group keeps track and offers links to McCain’s history of votes against veteran care:
http://www.veteransforcommonsense.org
To name just a few votes by John McCain against veterans:
McCain voted against an amendment providing $20 billion for VA medical facilities [5/4/06]
McCain voted against providing $430 million to the VA for outpatient care and treatment for veterans [4/26/06]
McCain voted against increasing VA funding by $1.5 billion by closing corporate loopholes [3/14/06]
McCain voted against increasing VA funding by $1.8 billion by ending abusive tax loopholes [3/10/04]
The man even voted against giving combat duty troops more time at home between extended tours.
John McCain had the gall to not only be rude, but to lie to a vet
about his record of endorsements from veteran groups and then had the nerve to refuse further questioning on the issue:
“I’ve been endorsed in every election by every veterans organization that do that, I’ve been supported by them, and I’ve received their highest awards from all of those organizations. So I guess they don’t know something you know.”
Later, during his town hall meeting, McCain admitted he does “not have a perfect voting record,” and then announced questions about veterans issues were off limits: “I will be glad to debate a lot of things, but not that one.”
http://www.thinkprogress.org/2008/07/…..ard-redux/
Not only was John McCain a no show when it came to voting on the GI Bill he opposed, a bill which the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars fully supported, he now wants to limit veteran health care to only combat related injury in order to save money. Per retired Army General Robert Gard, McCain’s proposal to limit health care to only combat injuries would “shortchange those veterans who suffer from non-combat related conditions”. McCain is apparently unconcerned about the number of veterans this would affect, including the 15% of female combat veterans who suffer from military sexual trauma.
This comes as no surprise. When the VA was busted recently for
circulating a memo suggesting doctors lower their diagnosis on veterans suffering from PTSD in order to save money, John McCain replied: “it’s not important.”
Older veterans remember well how John McCain and John Kerry shut down all further investigation into remaining MIA/POW in order to open up trade with Vietnam over the protests of family members. They remember full well how these families were treated and talked to by McCain. They also remember how John McCain’s father-in-law immediately opened up a beer industry in Vietnam as soon as trade resumed.
