i was completely blown away that so many people traveled up to see me… big brother was 130 miles each way and he is a hard worker. newton is the best pod packer around, i am convinced. he took charge of what went where in the pod. amazing buncha people who worked hard and talked harder (laughing)

it was very touching to me that people took a day to come help me out and i will treasure the memory.

People keep saying, ‘hey, you don’t need airconditioning at the beach’ …….yeah, right. One year I did not get a decent night’s sleep for an entire month because of the heat and humidity. My neighbors are all jealous that I now have A/C. I had to replace my furnace and do a re-duct, so I thought I’d just throw the A/C in also. I have not regretted it! Did not use any A/C last year, but really need it this summer.

i was wishing i had a/c today

a/c is on my list for wherever i land in oregon – even if i have to get a window unit. i do not do heat well – i already carry my own personal summer around with me and don’t need extra.

Paso Robles and a huge party The state fair lit up like broadway…surreal all the lights, people, cops, ferris wheels and traffic a festive end to an amazing day.
Gas $4.07 a gallon (runnin on empty) 101 North of Paso 25 miles or so. Starbucks caffiene pit stop.
The mountain ridges on the top had the view of miles of pristine forrest breathtaking.
On the 101 it was a speedway some racing at 95 and the flow was 85 anyway..whoa from around Los Gatos. 17…85 to 101 never a dull moment.

Nahant and sweety both just out of the hospital doing the main course for all, an eclecric group of amazing giving talented people turned a chore into a pleasure. Maybe some long pain free sleep for Suz.

I read Shock Doctrine with a good supply of bandages and bourbon around me. I couldn’t weep because I was so outraged that I just wanted vengeance/justice. I keep thinking of Norske and the pitchforks and torches. In truth, I couldn’t read the whole book……..it became, ‘what for?’ ….. just too shock doctriny for me. We’re here. It’s all over us. We can’t seem to rally a rout. And this is the bad part: I’ve got more grandkids coming, so I have to cool my ardor for outrage or I’ll implode and be useless. And, damn, where do I shepherd whatever assets I’ve earned/saved/done=without-for over the years? What a friggin’ mess we are in.
