This would be most of the American electorate. They don’t necessarily believe the thing they hear the most. They believe the thing that conforms most closely to what THEY ALREADY BELIEVE.</p> <p> So, the politician who can tell a lie effectively, a lie that conforms to pre-existing bias, has the edge. Independents and undecideds are focus-group tested to death, and anything McCain does from here on out is going to be the result of that testing…when he doesn’t veer off-message. Wouldn’t it be nice to see the real cause of death and not the lie as reported!
