So now John McCain is proclaiming Obama is nothing but a Celebrity — an entertainer — someone who just wants camera time?

Isn’t camera-time the thing he whined about lacking last week?

McCain’s campaign is trying to "drive the narrative" about Obama and playing into the notion of his being either "arrogant" (the new word is presumptuous — but think "uppity") or shallow like Paris Hilton (yeah, I know, huh?). He’s spent 30 years building his brand and has managed to get so many pundits (the real bane of America) into his corner that even when he’s rolling in the mud with Karl Rove’s pig brigade, tools like David Ignatius still spend column inches praising his alleged integrity. And apparently selling this line of loaded bullcrap is completely non-racial, just ask certified white-guy Jake Tapper. Every day Obama get’s called some form of "arrogant" by some pundit who channels his inner bigot. Leading one to ponder the question, "who will be the first pundit to defend their attack on Obama’s alleged arrogance by saying they are just calling a spade a spade?" Or has Limbaugh already done that?

But I digress…and depress.

Maybe what really bothers McCain about Obama’s ability to pack ‘em in — no matter where he goes — is the fact that he’s pretty much a frustrated celebrity himself.

After all, how many Senators trade in on their media-love affairs by appearing in "Wedding Crashers" AND "24"?

Maybe McCain is "Baby Jane"?

Come November 2008, let’s give John McCain a chance to finally compete on ‘Dancing with the Stars‘ — and the quite aptly titled "Celebrity Non-Cancerous Mole".
