When you think about the biggest skunk in the Grand Ole Party, does Karl Rove’s eau de turdblossom spring to mind? It should:
We have recently learned that Rove has signed a mid-six figure consulting deal with billionaire casino mogul Sheldon Adelson to oversee the activities of the right-wing shadow group Freedom’s Watch. With the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) underfunded and in disarray this cycle, it has outsourced its work to Freedom’s Watch, a shady soft money group with ties to President Bush and Senator John McCain.
If you ever wondered what the Bush political team is up to this campaign season, you need look no farther than the team behind Freedom’s Watch. Rove, along with former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer, former White House Political Director Tony Feather, and a slew of Bush cronies have teamed up with the third richest man in the country, Freedom’s Watch’s sugar daddy Sheldon Adelson – to form this unprecedented swift-boat operation. Their goal is clear — to preserve Bush’s legacy by delivering a third Bush term….
Please take a moment to visit www.TheRealFreedomsWatch.org and sign our petition demanding the National Republican Congressional Committee and Republican campaigns nationwide denounce Karl Rove’s new attack shop….
Funny thing about Rove: he’s been writing regular op-ed columns for the WSJ and Newsweek, and doing regular political commentary for Faux News. He also works both for Freedom’s Watch AND for the McCain Campaign. All at the same time. All with no regular public disclosure of his rampant conflicts of interest nor with much if any oversight of his pivotal role between McCain’s presidential campaign and Freedom’s Watch which, as a 501(c)(4), is supposed to have no coordination with McCain’s camp or any political campaign. And yet:
“Karl is up to his eyeballs in this,” says one prominent GOP consultant who has met with Rove a few times this year. “They’re trying to figure out who is going to do the presidential, who is going to do the Senate and who is going to do the House. They’re trying to assign resources to maximize the dollars and minimize duplication. Karl has taken it over.”
Anyone else getting that inevitable whiff of GOP corruption and flouting of the rules?
I’m sure Rove protege Steve Schmidt, newly installed at the McCain campaign’s helm, is shocked…shocked, I say…to learn his mentor Karl Rove might be involved in a rule-flouting scheme to game the 2008 election. Especially when you consider the timely roll-out of prior Freedom’s Watch campaigns which just happened to coincide directly with the McCain messaging roll-out of the week? (And with Congressional campaign strategy, which Blue America has already been fighting.)
Why is it that when we talk Republican corruption, all roads inevitably lead to Rove? And shouldn’t we all be asking if Grover Norquist is up to his old launder the Republican money and take a cut tricks again? Is this yet another "follow the money" scheme? Inquiring minds and all…given that after Jackie Boy Abramoff, none of these people ever again get the benefit of any doubt.

I feel pretty, oh so pretty……
Rules? Rules? Rules don’t apply to repiglicans!
Morning Christy!
It’s just a festival of smarm today, isn’t it? *g*
Morning Betsy. How’s tricks?
Ah the smell of laundry freshening in the sunshine!
Go git ‘em, Redd!
Is the Election commission so out of the loop they can’t stop Rove from being on the campaign and being on a 5013C? Oh wait…that is right Bush will pardon him so he need not worry…
IMPEACH NOW…before they get away with more crimes.
I wonder what it’s like to be the king of such a rotten regime.
If Obama’s team does not move to counter this attack, the ads McCain has done so far will be mild compared to what is coming. Obama’s smile and his positive attitude is no counter to this mud slinging. They do not care how bad it drags McCain down, Obama will be even lower by the time they are done.
Having seen the numbers comparing where Kerry was at this point in time to Obama’s, Kerry was in a surpsing good position after the primaries ended. And yet he lost. Because of the swiftboating. Obama and his team has said they will not let those smears stand. I have seen no effective counter yet. And his surrogates have stating the lies, but with no national media attention on the smears (as of this a.m. I have seen the McCain ad about 10 times, and 2 of the Obama countering ads), the independents will be swayed.
Great! Al the Spook, NDFG & I just opened the door on our new blog. Relaxed Politics, located in a lovely beach house.
The big difference this time around is the connections made by us DFH’s and the disinfecting sunlight we are shining on these cockroaches. Time for Rove to scurry to a corner and get squashed. Enough of this contempt for rules.
A festival, indeed. Much like the day Libby got convicted only much better.
That was in reply to Christy at #4
Oh — yay for you guys! :)
Here’s the long New Yorker piece on Adelson.
One must admit Adelson is a card:
Christy, do you see any chance AK Teddy’s half-rotted compost pile will touch rover inc. as it disintegrates?
Has Dean Broder starting tisk-tisking about Rove’s lack of bipartisanship yet?
I guess it’s tough to express concern while you are eating Karl Rove’s famous quail wings.
-G
Ugh. Don’t you have to wonder whether there’s some asshat breeding program out there that keeps churning out these people?
I don’t see Juan Cole or Rachael Maddow getting the same extensive exposure [and opportunity to disseminate his/her ideas].
rover’s the type of guy who would have clones of himself frozen.
i’m keeping my garlic necklace handy.
1,720 DAYZ AND THE KILLIN’ GOEZ ON AND ON AND…
Citizen Hardin Smith and the Firepup Freedom Fighters:
We as a people and the sham of Constitutional governance are at the spot where the rock meets the hard spot. There is nuthin’ more clear this mornin’ than the fact that our entire judicial system is broken and the concept of “rule of law” has been a joke for at least 28 years. If Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are allowed to block the Congress from exposin’ all the crimes of the last 7 years before November, then the whole idea of our system of republican federalism is defunct and we need to physically remove all the corporate bastards from power to hell with corporately sponsored elections.
It’s time ta hit the streets.
KEEP THE FAITH AND PASS THE FUCKIN AMMUNITION, THE SYSTEM IS BROKEN AND WE GOTTA GET RID OF THE CRIMINALS BEFORE WE KEN FIX IT!!
They sure LOOK like they came from the same gene pool. See Rove & what’s-is-name, Monica’s pasty co-conspirator from DOJ.
Thom Hartman just said…..
“These folks didn’t just break the law…… they broke the constitution and that demands an investigation”
Lead the way, sojer.
RRRAAAWWWW!!!111
git’em CHS!!!
Go Hartmann!
Surely by now most of us have figured out that where there are no penalties, there will be constant infringement. No penalties=no deterrent! Rove will continue to push the envelope until or unless he lands in jail. Period.
Hey, I laughed out loud when I read that. All it needed was a rim shot.
And we can thank Madame speaker for that!
Firepup Freedom Fighters:
It’s time to end corporate capitalism and disenfranchise the families of the oligarchy that have sucked the life out of this Repubic for 200 years. The solution to our problem is right in front of us, the corporate money laundry and the platoons of corporate gate guards in the legal system must be taken down…let’s get rid of these bastrads and figure out how to put a legal system back together when we get it done!
Christy,
What’s a Francis candidate? The IMDB linkie didn’t help me…
BC
i keep hoping, down deep in my inner evil-self, that that highrollin’ hawg-braggin’ lifestyle that rover surely enjoys so immensely
Will. Bring. Him. Down.
*crosses fingers behind back and clicks heels*
In the meantime, hard work at the Lake and beyond must be the order of the day.
My editing in bold
Francis is the smarmy guy who is trying to buy Pee-Wee Herman’s bike in the clip. Francis is the third character down on the cast listing…
Rove has signed a mid-six figure consulting deal with billionaire casino mogul Sheldon Adelson…
Cool – now he can afford to pay back the taxpayers for all that money he was paid to be a Republican, uber-partisan hack working inside the White House.
he who lives by the sword….
’m keeping my garlic necklace handy.
Well, I salute you for that, but in my case I was pretty sure that it was affecting my social life.
Two words – “garlic anklet”.
I guess McBush can’t get rid of the Rovians and Norquists, because he covered up all those 750,000 Abramoff documents for them….he’s dirty and they’ve got that on him…
Freedom’s Watch…should be Government Corruption Central..Criminals R Us.
Mrs. Rove surely is behind this added work for her husband: she’s had all the “family time” she can stomach with the lovely Mr. Rove.
I like your editing style. What do we do to show them the back-alley door that locks immediately as soon as they walk through?!
That should have come with a spew warning… hehehehe
As long as you don’t spend time with a partner with a foot fetish.
Gotcha … should have watched the clip. Thanks.
Heh. I’m a sneaky lil’ ole biddy. I’s got one darling honey. And we both eat lotsa garlic cooked by yours truly. Tastes great. And who else would have EITHER of us?! *g*
This way to The Egress …
It’s amazing he’s able to get so much work, seeing that the media is a liberal monolith and all.
-G
As in “egressional leadership”? I’ll paint the sign on the door. ;->
Rove is a cancer on the body politic. If that cancer is allowed to remain it will metastasize, if it hasn’t already, and destroy the nation.
Barack: W put Cheney in control of Energy…he met with the EPA once..the somebody else once..and the oil and gas companies 40 times… (from a live economic speech…MSNBC)
Yup, yup, yup.
Listening to Karl King: Barnum & Bailey’s Favorite in honor of that thought.
Uh, oh…Rawstory has a developing story….WH reaction to DOJ hiring scandal…”Absolute power, no responsibility”…or something like that….
McCain is for more exposed in Michigan than Obama. It’s about 2 to 1 in TV ads. So far I haven’t been real impressed with Obama’s pushback or his framing. Unless his campaign gets more aggressive he’s going to be asking himself in November, “did anyone get the license on the truck that just ran me down?”
and this kind of BS is one-but only one of the reasons that I foresee the downfall of the US as a constitutional republic within the next 50 years. Oh, the outer forms of a republic could still be there, like the “right” to vote, but all the other “rights” that we enjoy, gone. It has already started, we are rapidly progressing backwads, to the time when tabloids were the highest form of communication, where stories and lies about the candidates were made up daily. You think that the reps are running dirty campaigns now, my dears, you haven’t a clue about just how dirty politics can get. Read some history and you will start to understand. But it will be much worse now because we have radio, TV, and the internet. All will be spreading the massive amount of lies we will be hearing this year. All aimed towards the sheeple, who don’t really want to exercise their brains to try and discern the grains of truth in the mountain of lies. Yes, the repubs will be the downfall of the current system, aided and abetted by the spineless dems in congress. The oligarchs will rule from behind the scenes, while we become in fact, if not in name, a theocratic dictatorship, run by the oilgarchs. And overall we will become a nation full of ignorance, a return to europes dark ages
Suggest you don’t just prune. He grew from a sprout off Lee Atwater.
He’s being grafted as we speak.
Yank him up by the roots, & throw his sorry a$$ in jail, toss the key.
this is good news, and nothing to fear, kkkarl is a moron, he is not a genious in any sense of the word and what he has done single handidly is destroy the republican party
they have to be out of their minds to think they can get anything worth while out of this idiot…and he is an idiot
well well well. felt a little pinprick, did they now?!
tend to agree. when the head grows so out of proportion to the supporting mechanism, it’s humpty dumpty time. he may very well be his own worst enemy.
for example, just about every day another republican or republican pundit repeats the complete lie that “no oil was spilled becuase of katrian”
they find something that works, true or not they repeat is as often as possible
meant to ask…. u prefer omlet or just scrambled?
poached is kinda fun. it just sits helplessly in the simmering water and congeals. heh.
The Republican Party is far from destroyed! They are running an aggressive campaign and from what I’m seeing in MI they are outspending Obama in TV ads. Rove may be a moron but he was able to put a bona fide moron in the White House on 2 seperate occasion, one from the moronic decision of the SCOTUS and the other from the moronic nature of the voting electorate. Never underestimate the ignorance and mallability of the American public.
Try this one on for size:
Calls McCain a liar, and moves on to the positive message.
BC
Granted! I think we need a whole new congress devoid of most of incumbents. There are a few I’d keep (all of those you edited, of course, would be gone in a better world.) I’d keep Feingold, Kerry, Kennedy, Dodd, Dorgan, Leahy, Byrd, Sanders. I would consider keeping Biden, Boxer, Durbin, Harkin, Testor, Reid, Wyden. Who else? Who would y’all keep and who would go?
Why should he give a damn?
- He is likey making 1 million USD salary per year (never mind the oil stocks).
- For him this is petty crime
- Just yesterday it turns out that even serious/systemic/etc HIGH LEVEL corruption & crimes (including the USAG and everyone in this main office) means nothing – nothing should come of it. And…
- Once the crime is done and perhaps some of the evidence is destroyed just move on since nobody will do a damn thing (Ex. Sheldon Whitehouse…there is still a residue that must be dealt with…will it?)
So lesson learned – lies and crimes to make money with ZERO downside. That includes things like Enron, privitize gain/socialize loss. There is no natural selection since all the selection criteria have been removed.
So some goopers think that Karl Rove- the criminal boy genius- can save the day in gooperland?
Rove CREATED the gooperland disaster…
BRING HIM ON!!
Rove was always embarassed that he didn’t have as much money as the big boys he was playing with- he’s on his way to closing the gap.
Good points. But I think we have a good chance to see a shift in the playing field this time around.
Obama is no Kerry. Both he and his staff are quick, savvy, and just as accurate as that 3-pointer, imho. They absolutely POUNCE on issues and attacks, and handle them amazingly well compared to previous candidates.
Right now, even mccaint’s “strongest” ads are being criticized openly by pundits as more positive for Obama than for a seemingly rudderless fuddy duddy mccaint. eh?
I won’t relax till Obama’s in the Oval Ofc. But I do think he and his people are running a campaign, the likes of which we haven’t seen for a long long time. They seem able to defuse mccaint’s best efforts almost before the match even starts to sputter.
Meanwhile, PBS (Lehrer Report) dealt with the “too presidential” nonsensical charge that had been leveled at O. earlier. I believe they traced its origination to an op by Dana Milbank.
YESSSS!
it’s easy to win when you have no rules, he was able to “put a moron in the white house” by gaming the voting machines, caging and fraud
granted, this was successful, but not due to any intellectual prowess, just as a person can bomb a bridge, that wouldn’t take a genius, it didn’t take a genius to break the law and the rules
but we are on to his “trick” of lying, stealing, cheating, breaking the law, the “trick” loses it’s effectiveness
KEEP Sen. Sherrod Brown of OH.
as all the kings horses and all the kings men?
I prefer 3 minute soft bolied
This is absolutely correct…they have an incredibly powerful “base”, consisting of corporate oligarchs on one hand, and theocrats on the other. They have set up their own shadow military (Blackwater, Triple Canopy, and so forth…you do know that Blackwater has its’ own Air Force and naval capability, right?), and, due to the privatization of our intelligence agencies, have essentially bought our intelligence capabilities. We are watching the structure of a parallel (or replacement) government being set up right before our eyes.
Love the new beach digs, Betsy. Congrats to you, Al, and NDFG from the Great Swamp.
Rove is not a moron in the conventional sense. By all accounts, he’s very smart, very clever and entirely unscrupulous.
Those things make him dangerous. He has the ethical standards of a toddler, which is to say he has no ethical standards. If actions get him what he wants, then they’re justifiable.
BC
“We will fuck him. Do you hear me? We will fuck him. We will ruin him. Like no one has ever fucked him.”
Whenever I think of Karl Rove, I’m instantly reminded of this quote of his and what an absolutely horrific person he is (check his wiki page). This man has no right to have a role in “public service.” His public service has resulted in unimaginable suffering and death for millions of people.
My sincerest wish is that those sentiments Rove uttered about a political rival are turned on him someday. After all, Karma’s a bitch.
with toast points? *g*
I’m glad you liked. I couldn’t find the thing on YouTube, so I apologize for posting the blegging page.
Norske;
It really IS as simple as that.
It really is as plain as that.
The plain, simple, TRUTH!
OOOh, you’re right! I forgot about Sherrod. I saw the name Brown, and I couldn’t think who that was. Too common a name, I guess.
OT, but if your gag reflex in under control, Rick Davis, McCain’s campaign manager is on MSNBC spewing nonsense re: the childish ads they are running comparing Obama to Paris Hilton and B. Spears.
I agree with John McCain, star of The Wedding Crashers, Saturday Night Live and 24, that Sen. Obama is nothing but a vapid celebrity.
-G
That should’ve been “is” under control…
I think that’s the key right there. He’s so hideously, brazenly evil and prouud of being so, “normal” people are thrown off stride before they ever see him coming. That’s all it takes.
Well. People in general know who and what he is. We need to keep reminding them, and handling his filthy overflow, but we’re farther ahead than we were in the past. ya think?
I like his wife
Wow, is Andrea Mitchell’s conversation with Rick Davis right now on the campaign negativity getting hot.
Davis sounds defensive as he scrambles to push his talking points.
my condolences to you. what DO you believe in, if anything or anyone?
or did you mean to add /s ?
If we do not rid ourselves of the fascists now, they shall bedevil us henceforth and evermore; viola! the New Dark Ages, and then, human existence will, indeed, become a ‘joke’ or a piteous thing, to be followed by the demise of the species.
Which just might be the best thing to happen to the planet for a long time
(relatively speaking, of course).
I do not agree, these are not ALL accounts, these are “accounts” of republicans who idolize the man
he is unscrupulous, a sociopath, that gets alot done, his “strategy” has lost the republicans their 100 year majority and his “strategy” has turned bush into a pox
the results speak for themselves and they are the results of an inept moron
on atkins right now, need to lose about 20 more pounds, have lost about 45!
Cool. Left ya a comment on the housewarming thread.
It’s sad, really, bordering on pitiful.
They’ve got nothing and they know it, so now it’s time to throw everything against the wall and pray something sticks.
me too. they seem a good pairing, for keeping eachother energized twd doing good things for others. i like those kinda folks. with them, i’m sure it’s totally genuine.
Sherrod himself is a whirlwind of activity, very savvy, used to leadership roles, very good at touching base with his home state, and, did i mention – totally fearless without seeming “uppity”. *g*
OT
Driving around, I just heard a snippet of Rush Limbaugh going on what sounded like almost a parody of himself saying the problem with the United States was…….(wait for it)……the poor were getting too much.
I don’t know if anyone tracks this BS, or runs counter programs, but, man, it sure looks like the old Republican base is consolidating down to its hard core 24% authoritarian followers who are just mean, angry, and looking to be told by their authority figure to go after the “others” who are to blame for their unhappiness.
Holy Crap!!! Rick Davis (McBush campaign shill) just attacked Mrs. Greenspan relentlessly and in full defensive mode just now for about 10 minutes…no commercials…Obama is a celebrity…reporters like you stir all this stuff up…blah, blah, blah…then at the end…Bwahahahaha….Andrea thanks him for coming on by saying that Rick Davis is a “celebrity” in the political sphere…smackdown!!! She said something else too, a real dig…I don’t remember…I hope somebody got that on TIVO….She was insulted and pissed and held her own during his rant at the media and her personally….wow…
The Repubs cannot seem to stop themselves from going too far. They do it every time they get in power but this time has been nothing short of breathtaking. The boldness they have shown has now started to work against them. The results will be nice for the Dems.
heh, a significant number of biologists believe that is probably true, unless “we” as a species, change our ways, and FAST. no snark.
Tula’s upstairs with another great post
Death and the Bush Administration
wow! good for you. just be careful, okay? we need you around here ;->
i’ve lost a solid 17, sigh, but stubbornly committed to losing more.
hard, when you’re the cook, adventurous in the kitchen, & prone to think u have to taste everything, heh.
Woah! Andrea, no barbeque for you!
No.snark.at.all. Period.
Yeah, today the McCain campaign is on MSNBC’s last nerve. Andrea’s back on…it’s gettin’ good..
Rove’s job has been to get Rethugs elected. He’s done just that. For almost 40 years every conservative has wanted to dismantle the social programs enacted since the Depression and deregulate all industry. That isn’t something Rove came up with. Rove’s methods got Rethugs elected, first in TX and AL then nationally. What the Rethugs did with government at the local, state and federal levels is a different matter.
sorry. i don’t have even one square of pity left for those sorts of people.
There’s too much REAL hurt in the world.
but i appreciate what you mean…
I sometimes imagine the world with no people in it. It is a strangely soothing fantasy.
I had hoped that the comment was seen as satire.
-G
I’m thinking more of Sweeney Todd’s barber chair.
Same. Only sorrow at the tremendous harm that has been done, that didn’t have to be…
Very rarely do I watch TeeVee news but I did happen to see the end of KO and the beginning of Dan Abrams on MSNBC last night. They were brutal to McCain. Poor Tucker Carlson (on Abrams) was reduced to “defending” the McCain/Paris/Britney ad, while in full backpedal mode.
It was fun (for a change) to watch.
I will come over to be your tasting proxie!
heh. it’s just… well, it’s AMAZING what one can read on the toobz these days. Thanks for the reassurance to an old biddy who’s seen more than she wants to in this tired old world. ;->
P. E. A. C. E.
Yes, if we are not willing to treat the Earth, our ONLY home, as Paradise, then we’d best understand we probably won’t (as a species) be here much longer.
As you say, there is ‘comfort’ of a soothing nature in that aprehension, for those what ‘get’ it.
;~D
Even Britney’s publisher made a statement…saying, why would she want to be involved in politics..
Britney and Hilton should sue the McCain campaign….for something.
he got bush elected and not really, reagan and bush sr got bush elected, then the machines of jebs pals got him re elected
dismantling our social infrastructure is reagan’s doing not bush’s
that should be “annointed”, he was never elected
Unauthorized use of Teh Stoopid?
MyDD
try imagining rush as one humungous SPLAT on the wall, ceegar still smouldering in the middle.
seriously. it’s therapeutic. no charge. ;->
New post upstairs: Death and the Bush Administration
Yes we needn’t have brought ourselves, and the planet to this ‘point’.
Is it worse to fail utterly to understand, or to understand too late.
Doesn’t say much for the upright, ‘intelligent’ ape or for the featherless biped either.
Perhaps our collective epitaph might read, if any other sentient beings were to care: “They were simply pathetic, when they could have been so much more …”
I don’t see anything about Reagan or Bush in my comment. I’m talking about two separate agendas: (1) the conservative agenda and (2) getting conservatives elected. Rove’s expertise falls in the latter category, no matter who the candidate is. Additionally, Reagan may have been the one who was in a position to actually dismantling the social programs but the idea to do so started long before he was even elected as governor of CA, where he practiced on that state’s social programs.
PERIOD!
Thank you!
The Davis Mitchell interlude caught a lot of people’s attention. The merchants of hate are in full retreat right now, they are eviscerating their own and flinging to hold the hounds at bay.
Davis and Mitchell danced around it, but the followup Brownstein got right to it…the young white blonde women in the celebrity ad, the remeniscence to the Harold Ford smear ad, the unseemliness…and here’s the kicker, McCain’s personal disdain for Obama. [my paraphrase].
Davis-Mitchell is the hottest exchange I’ve seen in a long time. Like Atrios said, hopefully MSNBC will play this over and over and over and…. [hope he gets his “halo” back soon]
Fresh Prairie: The Surrender of McCain
“To some extent the appearance of Paris Hilton and Britney Spears — people complain about it — they should just relax and enjoy it.”
McCain’s wingman Senator Lieberman, “defending” the celebrity ad, via TPM.
curious choice of words there, senator. doesn’t conjure up any inflamatory image, nope not at all.
these people are just morally repugnant.
Just when you think they couldn’t get any worse…
but rove didn’t have the republican agenda, his agenda was getting bush elected and then the rest of the republicans and then a positive legacy
I see none of the above achieved, reagan’s and bush’s judges got bush enointed not elected rove had nothing to do with that and rove got the rest of the republicans unelectd not elected
and he turned their legacy into a pox
so where is the genious here?
Has anyone else noticed the fact that the Democratic ads are based on issues like the economy, our standing in the world, the war, etc… and all of the Republican ads are mud slinging smear tactics? The Republicans can’t win the debate on the issues so, as usual, they resort to hitting below the belt and Karl is the worst of the worst. I know that congress has a lot on it’s plate, so to speak, but indicting traitors and criminals should come first. Until we can rid ourselves of this bunch of liars and cheats, the country will not have any chance to recover.
i’ve stopped re-setting the bar, there is no point they can’t plummet past on a daily (hourly?) basis.
Those were the same words used by Texas Republican gubernatorial candidate, Clayton Williams, Whene he referred to his rape joke.
Might as well just relax and enjoy it.
Lovely people.
when
Gotta raise money for that legal defense fund!
I’m with both of you. Obama needs to get a lot tougher in regards to these smears. And he needs to be more assertive about defining himself before the slimes do more damage. Obama’s response ads ahve been way to tame to counter this slimy bunch. The Swift-Boaters are only getting started…by November Obama will not know what him, and it will be too late!
Rove didn’t get the Rethugs un-elected, they did that to themselves. You cannot combine Rove’s methods for getting Rethugs elected with what the Rethugs did once they got elected. It appears you’re blaming Rove for the Rethugs turning the government into a nightmare. They got the government they wanted. The people, on the other hand, didn’t. Rove had his day, the people he helped get elected screwed it up and now he’s trying the same tactics to keep them in office. He should have stepped away while he was ahead. Rove’s tactics may have been, and still are, reprehensible but they worked very well for well over a decade. That doesn’t make him a moron.
Interesting points all. You make me think. Thanks!
There’s no reason to blame everyone equally for the same dastardly deed.
There’s no reason to blame one person for every dastardly deed.
Strangely, politicians are people, or so I’ve read.
Sorry, no link. ;->
The media people now appear to realize Obama is pretty certain to win and they’re switching over to attack McCain in hopes of getting the Dems to play nice with them.
Maybe we should strip their FCC licenses or just deny them any access to WH briefings and press conferences.
