What that means on your end is that periodically, readers have been unable to either access the site or comment.
We're getting closer, we hope, to finally resolving these problems once and for all. But in the meantime, we'd like to beg your forbearance. Please don't give up on us yet -- this will all go away soon.
Of course, I suppose we could blame this on right-wing code writers sabotaging our system, but I think someone else already tried something like that ...

Thank you David. I really appreciate your addressing this issue for me/us. I actually was about to give up, and I certainly can appreciate the frustrations and difficulties involved in maintaining a site like FDL. I was just beginning to wonder if this was ever going to get right, and if it was really worth it to deal here much longer.
A word of encouragement from you, and your thinking enough of us to at least mention the situation is really, very very much appreciated and I am more than happy to hang in and wait out the bugs, knowing that there is an end in sight.

I’m guessing that the phrase should be ’sequel-server’ (SQL). You might wish to call it a database error for those who might thereby understand what you are talking about.
