Just when I thought Liz "Sprinkles" Sidoti and her enabling wank of an editor could not commit more crimes against the legacy of the Associated Press, comes this:
Before Ron Fournier returned to The Associated Press in March 2007, the veteran political reporter had another professional suitor: John McCain’s presidential campaign.
In October 2006, the McCain team approached Fournier about joining the fledgling operation, according to a source with knowledge of the talks. In the months that followed, said a source, Fournier spoke about the job possibility with members of McCain’s inner circle, including political aides Mark Salter, John Weaver and Rick Davis.
Salter, who remains a top McCain adviser, said in an e-mail to Politico that Fournier was considered for "a senior advisory role" in communications.
So it comes as no surprise that the AP’s coverage of Obama has been full of slanted pontificating as Fournier pushes not just straight reporting, but comments and analysis — so much of it amazingly unfair and non-analytical about Obama.
For, just this year alone Fournier has penned some real slimes against Obama, the first one coming to mind being this one:
Barack Obama better watch his step.
He’s bordering on arrogance.
The dictionary defines the word as an "offensive display of superiority or self-importance; overbearing pride." Obama may not be offensive or overbearing, but he can be a bit too cocky for his own good.
Fournier demonstrating he knows how to put an "uppity negro" in his place. For him to generate this opinion with no evidence seems somehow — oh I don’t know — presumptuous?
And now we know there is more than just his own offensive agenda in place, there’s water to be carried — "hot soup" to be prepared.
He should resign or be made to "resign".
Immediately.
So he can get that blessed McCain job and operate in the open.

Unfortunately, I suspect most of those so pissed at the Conglomerate Media “coverage” of Obama/McSame right now (especially the “newbies” that populate Obama’s site), will then forget and forgive these same “reporters” as they start kissin Obama’s butt. We even see that in Liberal blog circles, where Tweety Matthews, JoeScar, etc. will say something positive about Democrats, and you start seeing all these comments like, “Hey, Tweety might be getting it after all!” or “JoeScar doesn’t seem that bad anymore…” blah, blah, blah…And they go on to repeat the same cycle over and over again.
These “journalists” played a huge role in getting the Cheney Admin and Repubes in general into office, and thus share a lot of the responsibility for all the Death and Destruction that has followed. They should never be forgiven. We should never let up on any of them until they are fired.
Of course, we could also keep growing the New Media through word-of-mouth to the point where they become more and more irrelevant. Spread the word!

OT-Last night I happened to catch a few minutes of Hannity and Colmes. Susan Estrich was on. OMG, have you seen her. Mucho plastic surgery, bleached blonde hair, a sleveless black dress with a plunging neckline and a 3inch wide silver bangle on her wrist. She looked like she was headed for a cocktail party rather than the news. To make things even more embarassing, she kept leaning forward in a flirtatious manner that was innappropriate for a news show. I haven’t a clue what she was saying but the whole picture was embarassing.
It’s a lifetime appointment.
