Someone should point out to these guy’s listeners that when there is a Dem Pres, he now has the right to listen to their phone calls because they listen to and call into their shows. The “Protect America Act” can work both ways.

This is kind of on topic

ACLU Charges Sacramento County Policy is ‘violent attack’ on Constitution

ACLU charges Sacramento County policy is ‘violent attack’ on First Amendment that would turn County Buildings into ‘No Free Speech Zones’

SACRAMENTO - The ACLU of Sacramento today said a proposed countywide policy to be heard by the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors calendar Tuesday is a “direct assault on the First Amendment of the United States and California Constitution” that would make County buildings “No Free Speech Zones.”

The policy would, among other things, ban any flyer, brochure or other printed materials not produced by the County from County facilities. The proposed policy is on the Consent Calendar at the Supervisor’s meeting Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. at 700 H St.

The ACLU, in a letter emailed to members of the Board of Supervisors Monday, strongly urged the Board to take the item off the Consent Calendar and reject the proposal.

“(This) proposal is such a violent attack on the values of free society that it is somewhat shocking anyone would propose such an ordinance before a democratically-elected government board,” said Jeff Kravitz, a constitutional law professor and member of the ACLU/Sacramento Board of Directors.

Here’s their proposal it’s #8 on the calendar for 2 pm

I’m on my way to the County Supervisor’s meeting - 700 H STREET SUITE 1450
SACRAMENTO, CA 95814.

Anyone else in Sac reading this, come on down and tell them what you think

I’m hoping that Hannity, Limbaugh and Savage are charged as accessories to this murder. Their fascist propaganda is what makes such crimes possible because it gives permission to the many ignorant and mentally unstable foot soldiers of the Republican right. Perhaps the families of the victims can sue them in civil court. To let these people continue to broadcast their poison is contrary to the values of this country but then when a country condones tortures one can’t help but ask “just what are the values of this country?”

When I actually called them on this, they went into denial mode.

I also predicted this in a post last October titled “What happens the day after they spill blood.“?

Oreilly also tried to stalk gay couples in some Massachusetts resort town, claiming they made the place not “family safe.” It’s in his book. I don’t know if he actually stalked per say, but BillO definitely clenched his fists while writing about his “manly man getup and go” and “sense of right and wrong” in his early days at CBS. No Wonder CBS canned his stories (I think BillO blames Rather suppressing his “talents.”)re:psycho

Today’s Republican Party is a freak show of hate-filled sociopaths, immoral religious and social extremists, insecure, overcompensating, irresponsible, dangerously incompetent, war-mongering imperialists and greedy, exploitive corporate anarchists. Just look at the odious and inadequate carnival barkers and snake oil salesmen the Republican Party had competing to be their presidential candidate. Being an Irish Catholic Democrat raised with four younger siblings by an uneducated single mom, I have never agreed with social conservatives, but compared to Bush’s Republican Party Eisenhower’s Republican Party was a liberal bastion of social and economic enlightenment and pluralism. Defending the actions of today’s Republican Party is advocating ignorance and evil over common sense and common decency. It would be hard to imagine that any presidential administration, Republican or Democrat, could have been as malicious, polarizing, undemocratic, corrupt or destructively pernicious to the founding causes and defining principles of our republic than George W. Bush’s. I am surprised that I am ashamed for the “good” Republicans, only because I could not have possibly imagined how “bad” some Americans were capable of being.
