World’s cutest Peanut on her 1st birthday.

Happy birthday, Auntie Jane!

Momma says it’s time to break out the cake and candles. I hope she means for me, too, because I love frosting!

Momma read some Digby to me this morning (she rocks!), and it made me peevish.  As Digby said, Bob Cesca picked up on new media branding of "presumptuous" for Sen. Obama. Sounds like that oozy Karl Rove dude. Especially since the media complaints are things that W. already did at Rove’s urging back in 2000.

How soon the bobbleheads forget!  (Or maybe it’s on purpose.  Icky.)

I’ll tell you what is presumptuous: people who summer on the Vineyard telling me no one should question the way things are or want to work — really work — on our problems.  My parents say it’s important to care for those less fortunate than us because that’s nice and kind. I think reporters should stop just mouthing other people’s blast faxes and volunteer at a homeless shelter and open their eyes to the rest of the world’s needs.

Presumptuous my…well, momma doesn’t let me say potty words, but I’m thinking one.

Happiest of birthdays!  Pet your pooches and have lots of fun!

xoxoxo, The Peanut

PS — Momma says to remind everyone to call your Senators and ask them to support S. 3297.  Thanks, mucho!

PPS — The HJC hearing on Limits of Executive Power is live on C-Span1 this morning.
