The question I want to ask is If Coburn can place a hold on EVERY piece of legislation that benefits ordinary Americans, why could not a Democratic senator place a hold on FISA, the bankruptcy bill, and all the other abominations that this administration wanted?

Because so much of the Republican party’s core strategy rests on government as the problem, their entire party strategery centers around proving that incompetence is the rule of the day from governmental entities.

From what I’ve seen of the dems lately I don’t think the republicants have a corner on this market.

Hunter recently wrote the U.S. Embassy in Chad saying he planned to take a hunting safari there — part of an effort, he explained, to save refugees.’

And according to a recently de-classified document, Dick Cheney has offered to accompany Hunter and ride “shotgun”, and even provide, by shipping ahead, a pen of clipped-winged quail, and is said to be looking to temporarily hire an elderly lawyer from Chad to complete the hunting party.
