I agree that Pelosi kept pointing to the Senate. While it may take 60 votes there to get something done, the opposite is also true. It only takes 40 votes to stop anything. The Democrats have had the power to stop Bush for the last 7 1/2 years. They just have never used it.

That’s a really important point, IMO. Fundraisers raise funds mainly from Corporations and the wealthy, so of course they will look out for those interests. I wouldn’t mind a fundraiser who raises funds from the regular folks, though.
