Good morning, pups. It’s MoDo, Kristof, Friedman and Rich today. MoDo tag teams that Collins woman today, and gives us “Ich Bin Ein Jet-Setter.” She mews that in the next six weeks, Barack Obama must convincingly perform the political equivalent of the Labors of Hercules. Mr. Kristof writes about “Geezers Doing Good,” and says if we boomers decide to use our retirement to change the world, rather than our golf game, our dodderdom will have consequences for society as profound as our youth did. The Moustache of Wisdom’s column is titled “9/11 and 4/11″ and he says we are addicted to dirty fossil fuels, and this addiction is driving a whole set of toxic trends that are harming our nation and world in many different ways. Frank Rich says “It’s the Economic Stupidity, Stupid,” and that were voters forced to actually focus on John McCain’s response to our economic crisis, the prospect of his ascension to the Oval Office could set off panic. That, of course, will never happen because the MSM doesn’t want to miss the next BBQ.

Short discussion on uniting with the political opposition…those days are long gone. Those who are pursuing their special interests rather than we the people are those that define the best interests of the country as their own profits. How long has K street ruled the halls of congress? That is how long we have been a defacto Corporatist Oligarchy that is challenging the middle class. The onslaught of corporatism, the business hog, that has to have it all goes back to the vertical trust of Standard Oil. Isn’t that the Jay Rockefeller family who made the decision to give Telecom immunity to the giant communication monopolies for illegal spying (eavesdropping) by data mining all communications on their systems, cell, internet phone and wireless into a huge database that cab be searched with powerful software to find anything that their heart desires without a court order a violation of the 4th amendment, One of our inalienable rights that made us the envy of the world.
That family that was/is the powerful oil industry is still shoving us around. The fact that the biggest profits all time were reported by Exxon this year shows how greed driven they are while the economy is tanking we are being rtpped off at the gas pump. They are getting welfare for their companies and have executives from their industry running the US Government.
The greenhouse gasses that they have been emitting and the coal that accounts for 50% of our energy are destroying the planet. They are blocking allowing California from reduction by more efficient cars. They are pushing to destroy our coastal fishing waters. They are ignoring our environmental laws. The Oil Oligarchy is a criminal cartel in conspiracy to keep energy prices high.
They are also spending Billions to stop alternative energy that would stop green house gas emission and air pollution. The monopolies laws the antitrust laws are violated by these monoliths.
The only solution is to institute carbon cap penalty that polluters have to pay. Pollution of air and water is a crime against the planet and it’s people. All the major population center are sickened by it as well as the ocean organisms. Indicator species: salmon are near extinction.

Some expected consequences;:
Huge trillion dollar industry to employ Americans and get the economy moving.
Eliminate bad weather patterns caused by Global climate change due to green house gasses and Global Dimming caused by fine particulates in our atmosphere.
Reverse our trade deficit and balance of payments. bringing massive capital back into the economy that will recapitalize our Infrastructure as the electric distribution grid needs repair and extension to solar farms. ElectrIcal storage efforts needs capital to manufacture storage devices and carbon storage into the earth instead of the atmosphere.
Strong economy, clean environment ocean lakes, rivers and aquifers. Clean air and food supply.
Stop the resources wars and disaster capitalism that has been destroying third world culture for decades.

A black cloud from LA to Washington state from the Cal forrest fires. The sun sets red.We got Global Dimming and Warming. The planet can burn all the organic matter on the surface and some gasses that will surface from the seas which are larger than the land mass.
40 foot rise in sea level would take out major population centers causing migrations never seen before. 2.5 billion peole will be at risk. The soils will be covered with salt if the water recedes it won’t have drinking water as the aquifers will be saltwater. Food crops will not grow in this soil.
Could the greenhouse gasses form a gas layer of lighter gasses above the Dimming particulate layer and that layer of thicker particulates could cause an ice age. Just sayin who is minding the store Abe?
