Oh Ted, Poor Ted

Sometimes the crimes
are so thick

Like moths,
cover the fur
of a cat, dead months
under the house

The nasty underbelly
of your deceptions
feeding

The blogswarm
like maggots
multiplying
on the body politic

Hope of
theraputic debridement
fades.

Not.Like that
Sick/Sweet smell

Attached forever
To your political corpse

My understanding is that haiku is supposed to be very concrete and nature based and observation based. So my intention was for it to be allegorical.

A new award show is being made ready
The competition is really quite heady
Other categories pale
For those going to jail
The award for corruption? The Teddy

Thanks Phillip!!! way cool. passed on your recipe to a few folks and led to a great conversation with my mom about ceviche over the 4th…..different kinds, ways, etc….

changed it. again. wanted to illustrate how the lime juice ’cooks’ it..not just marinates…(h/t peterr) and just thought of how to do it.

et’s raw fish

phillip posted his dish of ceviche
on his blog, it looked so delish
but now this dish
has a new ’twist’
he cooks ’ted’
in lime juice instead.

time to stop. take care.

heh - let me sleep on it. Alex is home for the first time in three days, and we’re gonna have dinner - albeit late - together.

I would like Phil to describe his distinction between alternative energy and renewable energy. Perhaps in haiku.
