That said, her pediatrician was absolutely less than pro-health in explaining her contraception options. Actually, she was down right uncomfortable.
Now, I sent my daughter to her doctor for advice and consultation because she was a membr of a now defunct group we started in 2002. The Womens Forum For Change. We raised the funds to send 2 young women to DC for the 2004 March For Choice. My daughter’s “coming of age” was our participation in that most awesome experience.
So, THIS is the female doctor advising a responsible young woman?
I mean, really !!!!
I’m sending my donation to Planned Parenthood tomorrow. With a letter of apology for not being more supportive.

We live in a small community and many of the doctors choose to live here. So we have long term relationships.
There’s been an ominous creation of new rules that must be adhered to on penalty of penalties.
1] Can’t display the “Patients” name on the chart as you go into the waiting room . Fine and reprimand.
2] Must call the patient by first name only. If there are 2 or more people responding you have to do a polite whispering of last names…….
Who knows wht other bullshit is going on. I only know this much because I have a good relationship with my medical providers who are discreet. And yet sending a signal ????

Turley’s comments really had an impact. The mood over at Dkos seems to have completely flipped. They are all upset that H.R. 6304 is going to pass, ignoring the fact that Obama probably could have stopped it — at least that’s what Digby thinks:

He is the leader of the Democratic Party now, in the middle of a hotly contested presidential campaign. Scared of him? I don’t know, he’s just a typical politician. Well yeah, that can be pretty fucking scary sometimes. I was pretty hopeful when I heard he was friends with Bill Ayers, but I don’t think they have too much in common.

I don’t understand that fear of being labeled a liberal. It’s not like Obama’s to the left of Kucinich or anything like that. Hell, he’s not even to the left of Edwards. Meanwhile any conservative who’s not to the right of Mussolini is labeled a moderate.
