He knows how to play the PR game and, as yet, has made no statement on al Maliki’s Memo of Understanding proposal. If he supports this idea from al Maliki and other Arab leaders there could be a strong unified stand by the Irakis against the US occupation. I think the Pentagon’s statement will help solidify the Iraki position on US troop withdrawal. Will the administration come out and say we’re staying no matter what the Iraki’s want?
