And apparently there are groups at Jesus-STOCK that are recruiting a lot of these kids to go to China and convert people to their version of evangelical Christianity.

I tend to think that the Chinese are gonna be a whole lot more offended by THAT, than they ever would by whether or not he showed up to the Olympics. Does anyone tell these kids what precisely faces them in Chinese prisons before they run off on their “missions”? Are they told what the effects of their Christianizing is likely to be on those that they talk with?

This is one reason why our politicians catering to the religious right is so dangerous…they go over to places like North Vietnam, China or Muslim countries and get into trouble…then expect the US Government to bail them out. That works if there are only a few such fools…but it becomes a foreign policy crisis when they recruit ignorant kids wholesalelike this. Of course, the local converts and their families have no such big brother in the State Department to help THEM!

A yawner of a show.

A music festival with heavy metal, punk, hip-hop and pop music might seem like an unusual place to get baptized, but Creation is a festival with strict rules: no alcohol, no drugs and no sex before marriage.
