Yeah, my ears hear it as fast but then I realize the actual instrumentation is at a normal speed so then the helium sounds kick in.

I’ll tell you exactly what it is, its her microphone. Those old school mics back then were very unbalanced and boosted higher frequencies in over the lower end because AM radio doesnt transmit lower frequencies so well. All the mics back then were engineered for that standard.

Actually Patriot’s Day is generally the third Monday in April.

The Boston Marathon is run that day and there’s a morning Red Sox game as well. It’s a state holiday for MA and Maine.

I did that once, it turns out badly, they get the big picture stuff right but dont press them for details. It gets ugly in the details of any policy issue. Best to stick with fighting the Hydra of fascism from within than to hold a debate about how to fight the Hydra like Libertarians do.

Not sure if they’ve been doing anything on the air at CNN but I’ve seen the story on their web site and at a couple of newspapers’ sites. You could tell the tone pretty much by the headline used.

Well they’ve definately got the “get yer fuckin government and yer fuckin church outa my life” stuff right..Maybe they can be taught a few additional details…I no longer want to pay taxes to these assholes in Washinton- so they’re on the right side of that one too as far as I’m concerned- and they’re on the right side of gettin the govt out of the bedroom- and they’re ready to fight if they’re fucked with. Those who resort to violence rarely do so due to their superior intelligence. That explains why Bush and Cheney are such fans of violence, by the way.

Even music is political. The symphony was not performed as written because of the untimely death of the czar. Then the Soviets would not permit the whole thing to be played because it included the czar’s hymn. Finally the piece was played in its entirety about 20 years ago with the cannons and the church bells and the czar’s hymn.

The music was about resisting tyranny. Maybe we should play it more often.

In northern Virginia they play it at Wolf Trap with real cannon. I could hear them crash from my home in Vienna.

I yam! Ribeyes, shrimp, summer squash on the barbie. Side of cucumber salad with sour cream and dill. And watermelon if there’s any room left.
