YAY!
You rock. They’re so lucky to have you.
Mmmm. Otis Taylor …
I did as well.
nahant, the Digg thingy above says I got the official Digg…at least that’s what it tells me….
Thanks!!! I start in two weeks. Now my job is to get my chops back on flash animation and actionscripting 2. I am motivated.
I’m amping over Obama…
But the FISC is a mere rubber stamp court…! I do like the 1 brigade per month removal from Iraq tho, 16 months later a mere residual force…! Maybe progress will be seen on one front…!
fork, double dugg?
if I knew nahant was here, I would have tried to coordinate with him. Didn’t see him at Late Nite…
how do we know he aint gonna fold on his withdrawal plan like he folded on fisa?
Good question! I wish I knew the answer…! 8-(
i put some janiva up at my place earlier today.
I want to get behind someone who says what he means and means what he says. I don’t give a fuck about the “but he is a politician” bullshit.
no shit. i’m so forking sick and tired of this move to the center shaft the base crap. if i wanted that crap, i wudda voted for someone who did that shit.
Or SCOTUS appointments… Or NAFTA, CAFTA (where ever the fuck he is on these)…
Or…
And Mary – I think Obama is winking to us, saying “Let me introduce myself to a different segment of the country,” hoping we will let him get ready for fund raising for when the bell rings…
Suz, I’m a naif……I wasn’t sure if that was porno or scientific. Gonna go listen now.
it was an on topic blogwhore on an off topic thread
What job??? Mary, I knew you were looking, but Graceland? Details, please! Congrats !!!
we don’t. but have you ever heard of something called “hope”?
Yeah, I’m laughing. The kids here at FDL are really fun. I lurked for years at work. Being retired has been such an opportunity to laugh out loud. Talk about the cool kids!
i hear its a town in arkansas
i’m really enjoying retirement (other than that whole too much month at the end of the money thang). i get to do nothing and i do that magnificently.
A town well known for spawninng prez candidates.
I hope so. Lordy, I hope so.
yeah, which produced Bill Clinton and Mike Huckabee. go figure!
Shiza… guess we all have to Digg your digg Neuro… I did just get here at 5 after the hour… and no digg was posted so….but I did Digg your Digg!!
And look how far that got us…! Ironically, another denizen tried to slither it’s way into the national spotlight, eh? ;-)
neuro, i want bo to show me that he is a man who keeps his word – then, i could have have some hope. right now, all i’ve got is a bad case of the oh no not agains.
Dayam, I owe ya a Coke…! ;-)
Dang, I hope you’re right. As Petrocelli says, we democrats have a tendency to do the republicans’ job for them. We crucify our own, and lose elections in the process.
Hope Obama is winking on FISA.
thanks, nahant. it’s all for the good of the blog, and for Suzanne’s greater glory. *g*
Popcorn’s ready. Hold out your bowls.
with butter, please
It is a freelance gig making flash sites. Two young men started the company and they know what they are doing in terms of marketing and design. They might be 22-24ish. But cool enough not to bat an eye when a l o l walked in for the interview. I have a ton of respect for that.
I start in two weeks and have a lot to learn before hand.
Pepsi please, I’m boycotting Coca Cola right now because they are supporting repression of human rights in China, or so I am told
Your machine? Their machine? Macs or PC’s?
You two are a riot! Have you ever met in person? If not, I’ve gotta be there when you do.
This looks like a good recipe to try, even though I’m not a vegan. Healthier and cheaper to cut back on the meat and dairy. Besides, after hearing about the nasty crap that gets into milk, I can’t bring myself to consume any dairy.
I will still vote for OB…. but the whole FISA immunity is just s pile to doggie dodo to me… I don’t know that I can trust him… it took me a while to trust him in the first place… I always thought he was too slick…but know way in hell will not vote for him come November… I trust McPain as far as he can fly a dam jet!!
and M&Ms.
Every business needs a “Gray Hair” – the wise one who gives the youngsters guidance. Investors like that.
We know and practice that … don’t we Neuro:>)
I hope we do someday, Loo Hoo–and you would be most welcome. :)
Don’t know when I’ll ever make it out to California again, however, given the effects of teh Bush Recession on my finances…
jen’s been posting again over at the group news blog and this week she had a recipe that i’m gonna have to try.
Gotcha covered.

Not yet but I sure would like too … Neuro may have to come this way as I will be restricted in my travel once I get listed… We won’t be going back to Vermont for nephews wedding in September as we had hoped… but it will be all worth it… -
Okay for you! Is it THE GRACELAND?
Kids starting a business (if they’re smart and came from decent families) probably know that the work ethic in our country may have shifted. (Just looking at where my own kids are now in comparison to where I was at their ages with regard to work…)
What did you hear about dairy?
hmmm butter smoothered popcorn takes me back to my childhood. all i need is a pack of junior mints and a doctor pepper and i would be right back to 5th grade again, watching hush hush sweet charlotte at the saturday afternoon matinee.
Painful at best Mary… you can build a screamer for a reasonable price with quad processor and 8gigs of memory and lots of other hardware goodies…..
Hafta provide your own Dr. Pepper. Makes my stomach turn.
at the movies, the dr pepper didn’t taste as watered down as the cokes did.
what do you mean “listed”?
mary, are they giving you any stock options? get ‘em if you can…
The machines that are hooked up to the cows udders break their blood vessels. Which then get infected. Which then gives you a little cow blood and pus in your milk. Just can’t get past that.
loohoo, going to graceland is a saying – not the company she is working at
its like saying going to dizzyland after winning the superbowl
sorry, that was supposed to be a reply to nahant at 68
Oh, and a sandwich recipe! But what the fuck is tempeh?
mary mcc – ian left you an answer to your question to him downstairs about NO
soy product like miso but with less salt than miso
You must have been referencing someone else?
Figured that Neuro… I thought you knew it will be for a liver Transplant at Stanford… That’s why I had my long day at Stanford going through all that testing on Monday…
when do ya find out if you get listed?
Ok, had to look up miso, I think I understand, more or less.
Oh, my. I knew you were having some testing done but didn’t get all the information…I wish you the very best…sounds like you’re going to a good place to do it…I can see how you wouldn’t be doing any travelling
oh geez, there is some serious stuff going on around here. Best of everything to ya Nahant.
This is not that kind of situation. This is two very young men who are driven, smart, and suddenly making money. They have rented a 4000 square ft. McMansion in Folsom, hired telemarketers, done their homework in terms of the programing and cannot get find people who know how to make the product. We are talking pre-dot-com boom situation. The thing that worries me is the post 20th century fucked up economy about to crash on our collective enlightened heads.
Thanks. That saying makes sense. Just that I’ve never heard it before.
Except Paul Simon…
So instead of expressing shock and dismay (which I certainly feel about your thing), I’m lining up the Pastrami-on-Rye party for your recovery.
You like the potato salad with egg or without?
tempeh rocks! you can survive on tempeh, rice, adzuki beans, kelp and wild rose hips forever. If McLame wins, you might have to….
Well, I am going to call it a day. I have serious puttering to do tomorrow, so I’d better get some rest.
hey et
g’nite gnome
nite gnome
zakly.
Oh. Dear. I thought that had changed/improved for you. Well, I think you couldn’t be going to a better place for your care.
(((Nahant)))
Wow, never heard this Morphine song before.
There is Graceland and then there is simple grace.
Batter
The hills fold
into themselves
like batter.
Rotund, ocher, close cut,
they roll and pitch
as light curls around
the immodest lady shapes.
Darkness plunges quick
into a wrinkle
of dirt and rock.
The black quiet,
the cool underneath
holds the world
in place
and grants us
each
our individual
vision
and sympathetic
grace.
Suzanne, I just got around to hearing the video you posted. I liked it. Wasn’t familiar with either of those people.
Do you think Chuck Berry would recognize the song?
i think so, neuro. they just sizzled it up some
I like that, mary. have you published any of your poetry?
Thank you for that vivid portrayal, Han…! 8-P
sweet horns hannibal
July 31st we go for the mental part of the evaluation so it should be shortly after that or even maybe that day… my little sister has been doing some research and she says transplantation at Stanford usually in completed in six months… Sure helps tp have my sister who is a transplant coordinator at Tufts hospital in Boston:>)
I love Folsom! I’ve only been there once, but had the most fun shopping there.
Johnny Cash had the blues there, but not me!
Heh, ya got connections on both coasts…! Good Luck…! *g*
nice, very nice marymccurnin….
the poem rolls like the metaphor you unfold.
With
having someone who knows the lingo and understands the procedures and can translate them into layman is a huge help nahant. fingers and toes, dood, and i would go with with on that potato salad.
nighters
It is my artist’s statement.
Thanks for the hugs Loo Hoo:>)
Shopping…? Are you serious…? Anything and everything is marketable, eh…? 8~)
Nice. Best on your new job.
I got lost in Folsom five weeks go, looking for an RV park by the lake. I’d never been to NE Sacramento’s suburbs, and hope to never have to be there again. I’m in a lousy mood, though. The weather was nice.
et, its forking ugly. i used to drive past em on the way to see baby girl when she was up in placerville. buncha butt ugly mcmansions shoulder to shoulder on tiny stamp sized lots.
And simply because today, July 3rd, is the anniversary of the man’s death, another Morphine video.
Suz I have more relatives who are nurses than Carter has little LIVER pills and they all give me support… one of the bennies of coming from a large family who all care about others:>)
the line
makes me think of the stone age sculptures and fetish objects venerating just that.
just because
What’s this I hear about Palin being on McInsane’s short list fore Veep…? Rumors…? ;-)
It’s also the anniversary of Jim Morrison’s death, so here’s some Doors.
It’s one of those towns you wouldn’t believe. I’d never thought of Folsom as anything but a prison. I had no idea about the town and the shopping. Kind of an old west theme in terms of architecture, but really nice shopping. Top craft, one-of-a-kind type items. Very nice.
I have a friend who did not pass the mental evaluation for a liver transplant at UCSF. They were thought he was drinking. He moved to Sacramento to get into the UCdavis establishment. He got his record from UCSF and photoshopped the information that got him on the list at UCDavis. This was about five years ago. He is doing well with his new liver. Ain’t life grand? Manipulation of the system is sometimes the only way to go.
Edwardteller,
Next time you are near me give me a call. goddamnitall.
great forking song… love that and roadhouse blues and the spy.. oh hell, the whole forking morrison hotel cd
I liked San Ysidro’s ’strip’ malls of Factory Outlets….! Saved me a trip into TJ…! ;-)
he he….
Driving north out of that labyrinth, toward Marysville, we kept on thinking he suburbs were over. But then the iconic billboard of another Home Depot or whatever would loom out of the scrubby horizon. These towns will die very, very quickly when gas gets to be $8.00 per gallon…
Love me some Doors always have always will … good selection also…
soundtrack of my teens
As to emergency medical treatment, it’s sadly interesting that a hospital (or a hospital to which the first hospital bumps a patient) has to stabilize (if necessary) an emergency patient and provide some urgently-needed care, but surgery or some other procedure that the patient is told, in no uncertain terms, must be done in the near future, is often made elective. If it’s elective, and the patient doesn’t have the money for the procedure, or adequate insurance, or adequate financial aid, the procedure is not done.
I be just a tad older but loved to play it for all the older Germans at Gausthause where we had a room off base…. little did the CO know:>) They like the Ompa and the patriotic songs…
http://www.ips.org/blog/jimlobe/?p=163#more-163
That was the OLD Daze, with Pigpen.
Here’s one from ‘92, which I don’t endorse, but it’s hard to fault Bobby Weir, Steve Miller (the blues dude, not the keys player for Lynn County) and phreakin James Cotton!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ki97M73vbe8
Ok, changed my mind . . . this one is TOP PHUCKIN SHELF!! *G*
I won’t go into shows of New Year’s Eve’s long past at Fillmore, Winterland, Avalon Ballroom, Longshoremen’s Hall, and many others up and down the Peninsula (no man is an island) . . . .
Good Mornin, Indeed. *G*

Suz, sigh . . . yer leavin . . .
I’m sad for that.
But, the PAC NW?!?!?!?
Damn, if you end up in the phrealin Puget Sound, I’m gonna gag . . .
Ok, just read yer reply . . . . Portland is kewl . . . . VERY kewl, for all KINDS of music on street corners, in cafe’s, red hair and black leathers are My fav color schemes!
Check it out, the bikers who ride OTHER than the Harley brand, will be wearing lap robes . . . totally bitchen leather tooled robes that bind to the frame, they step in into, and the leather slips up into their leathers and it’s a blanky against the rain and cold from foot to shoulder!
The cops up there STILL ride BMW’s I think, and use lap robes . . .
Damn, I’m jealous, gal . . . there’s music up there, on any street corner, like up in Puget Sound.
Dang. Yer havenin too much fun!!! And ya earned it . . . ;-)
Just got here (went back to read Kevin Phillips’ book salon)
Yipeeee! for you.
just gonna have to change the location of the where when ya stop by dood
The Joker?
Heh, Stevie Guitar Miller (and that’s yer wife brother sherriff, in the back of my bus) was a hoss in the late 60’s.
And that was his BEST work, with Norton Buffalo as the harp player and Boz Scaggs as the harmony vocal, rhythm git . . .
The later Stevie Miller and Joker was pure pop crap, IMHO.
But I’m an old fart . . . you kids never saw all that shit . . .*G*
bull forking shiz larue.. iirc, we are the same phreaking age
SM Winter Time sit back and enjoy…..
Tell ya the trut, I still wanna do the PAC NW, in the Tacoma region . . . .
It’s a dream but . . . we gotta have our dreams, eh?
Once in Tacoma, we’d be DELIGHTED to visit and assemble and rant and rave!! ;-)

From the Document that justly receives special attention every July 4th, with one four-word term removed to allow for apt fill-in-the-blank:
One of the few Mac songs of Stevie and Lindsay that I still like.
Nice pick Suz . . . it’s minor and modal . . . and mooooooooves me . . . *G*
I SO loved that band before Stevie and Lindsay . . . but ya can’t diss commercial success I guess . . *G*
FORk.. make that sell EM not sell me
jerk?
For your review and comments, here is the current draft of my possible response to Obama’s FISA Response to us.
===================================================
The comments are inline below.
Let’s be clear, Senator. This was a “capitulation” not a “compromise.” [Link to Glenn Greenwald.]
We’re talking about “criminal behavior” by the Bush White House and possibly corporate accomplices.
Indeed, Senator, as president you would hold an office entrusted to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States” and “take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.” But, a few lines down, you indicate that you support H.R. 6304 specifically in order to continue one or more of the Bush Administration’s unconstitutional wriretapping programs.
Getting rid of Title II would be a very Good start, Senator.
Senator, the Protect America Act expired last February.
Senator, that provision is already existing law under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978. It has been clear for thirty years, Senator.
Senator, that is what the existing law, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978, has been doing for thirty years.
Senator, here’s what that report said about accountability:
Per Marcy “emptywheel” Wheeler, “[T]he IG report on politicization at DOJ found that Mike Elston and Esther McDonald had broken the law. But it admitted that DOJ was unable to hold them accountable for their actions–because too much time had elapsed, because they had both snuck off to sinecures in swank Republican law firms, and because the Inspector General really couldn’t hold them accountable directly.”
Senator, those expiring “surveillance orders” were authorized by the
Protect America Act. Those that cannot be continued under the current law, FISA 1978, are unconstitutional. A year ago, you understood that and, as you noted earlier, voted against the Protect America Act.
Senator, that “compromise” is nothing short of “capitulation.” [FILL IN with Glenzilla’s stuff.]
Senator, you’re selling us pie in the sky. Trust-me promises. Show your stuff by supporting civil liberties here and now.
No Senator, your former supporters are the ones taking lumps. You are the one who took the sharp right turn once the primaries were over.
But, it’s not nearly so good as the existing law, FISA of 1978 as amended over the past thirty years.
Candidates too, Senator.
Senator, in our opinion a continuation of Bush’s unconstitutional wiretapping is unacceptable and does not represent change.
Senator, while you were the nominal head of the Democratic Party, the ill-written 114-page H.R. 6304 was brought from rooms filled with telco lobbyists to a vote in the House of a Democratic Congress. That is not the sort of open government we are looking for.
Senator, there is much more than FISA. Your position on the death penalty, for example, is to the right of the majority of the Supreme Court and to the right of three out of seven of the Reagan/Bush appointees who dominate that court. That is not change we believe in.
Senator, we certainly thought so, but continuation of Bush’s unconstitutional warrantless wiretapping is not a better course.
Thank you, Senator.
Stevie’s first hit… I was in Germany when it came out Laure:>) serving our country… and then tricky Dick got elected and Detroit burned:>( Remember the bumper sticker from the 72 election…. Vote for Nixon in 72 You can’t change Dicks in the middle of a Screw
wow. excellent wigwam. point by point dissection of why he is wrong.
Sooooooo…
You’re doing a little thinking about this? :-)
hahahaha now that you mentioned it, it triggered some old memory cell.. there were other plays on his name back in 72 wasn’t there?
How much??
i had bought the tickets for the bride’s birthday present that year.. was around 200 for the set.. pretty good seats
But of course!
And to close it out tonite, I’ve always been taken by Christine McVie, and the versions of Mac with Danny Kirwin, Jeremey Spencer, SOME Peter Green, and of course, Bob Welch . . .
Here’s some SWEET Danny Kirwin:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…..re=related
And, here’s one of my all time favs, with Bob Welch, Danny Kirwin, Christine, John, Mick, off what is still my fav project, Future Games:

Sands Of Time
Use headphones, turn it up loud . . . it’s moving . . .
Now days you have to add another zero at least to the price!!
Hey all. Must be something in the air tonight, here’s what I just typed in when I signed Russ Feingold’s FISA Revision petition:
Busted.!. I am fucking obsessing about it. ;-) That S.O.B. has pissed me off.
oh well
Great! We need to really get on this guy.
OMG Suz, you got a buyer!
Now wasn’t that easy?
(Ducking!)
Damn, older than dirt!! ;-)
A Pleasure To Meet Ya!!! LOL
We’re all older n dirt, I guess . . . -)
Once again, Suz calls it on the spot!!! LOLOL
Not obsessed. But if you’re going to have an impact, now is the time. I admire your energy right now.
it shows!!! But what progressive doesn’t feel Sold out and betrayed?? gimmy my constitution back unamended… if we want to amend it we all get to choose state by state… not some freaking Reich wingnut way with a law passed by congress…
Love this!
Been a long time.
sure.. piece of cake.. only a forking year and a half – twas a snap
Are you relieved? Hope so. Wotta frickin’ road that’s been!
road aint over yet.. was busy with inspectors here today – the house inspection, the termite – septic is monday. when all contingencies are passed, then i can exhale (and start packing)
Does nobody remember just how severe a disappointment Bill C. was once he got into office? ‘Welfare reform’ absolutely broke hearts. Absolute power corrupts, absolutely.
Whew, Do you feel better, wigwam…? *g*
Every best wish on all of that. You deserve a break, like yesterday already.
Recall it well.
I can remember wondering if that one (welfare) cost him a few nights sleep – wrecked an already teetering system, fucked over generations for what?
i’m tired of making lemonade outta lemons – just want to be able to breath and relax and enjoy
Wigwam, I hope you will post your final draft of the letter (including the Glennzilla quotes, etc.)
I would like to send much of that, with a little editing, to my Democratic Congresswoman (class of 2006) who much to my chagrin voted for the “compromise” and who, I would not be surprised, would offer much the same kind of rationale that Obama did
I have not known what to say to her since that vote
but he didn’t give our constitution away… and Welfare reform was pushed through by the rethuglians… as usual they don’t want THEIR $$ to go to help some brown/poor person…
Yep, I was in high school then . . folks raged.
Me, when I found out about the earlier stuff, I swooned . . .
Kirwin, Spencer, Welch . . .
Heroes Are Hard To Find
Future Games
Penguin
Kiln House
Bare Trees
Mystery To Me
Core stuff . . . their sound . . . and until Christine McVie joined and was part of the band, they were a racous blues band . . . which is GOOD, with Peter Green, and Jeremy Spencer . . . LOVE all that slide work.
But it ain’t the band I fell in love with . . *G*
10-4 on that. Happy days to you. Go sit at the seaside or somethin’ else that’s healing.
Portland, eh? You’ll do OK without sunlight, then? Actually lots of my friends have been moving through Portland for years and every single one has loved it.
The classic welfare queen driving a caddy…! Now they’re definitely taking mass trans…! 8-(
i gotta admit to being partial to stevie’s voice.
The day the Goopers won that fight, they laid the blueprint for all future demography. Bubba had to see that. He was too smart not to.
not sure.. could be across the river in southern wa or along the oregon coast. i really liked that area south of tillamook and north of lincoln city – reminded me a lot of here when i drove through it several years ago.
i won’t know the where until i get up there and find it.
if not hitchhiking…or walking
I’m in a state.
This morning I set off a food fight over at Dkos with this: http://www.dailykos.com/storyo…..220/545927
Got 132 comments but only 11 recommendations, i.e., it wasn’t real popular with the Dkos Omamistas. Here’s my favorite comment:
I know exactly how that guy feels. It was cathartic, even for me. ;-)
IIRC, Newt extracted it outta Bubba’s arse during the ’shut-down’ era…! 8-(
Set off a grenade.
They have it coming over there.
And wigwam – I rarely venture into Kos – let us know when you go over there and fuck with them. I’d love to join in.
Class. Once again it’s all about class. The monied fear the unmonied, so they spy on them even though the unmonied are actually The People. Thus the Constitution goes -right- out the window whenever it’s in the way of the goals of the actual power structure (see supra in re. ‘the monied’). However irrational or disproportionate those goals may be.
Nice chatting with ya too…! ;-)
Excellent, except one too many “Senators” here:
Bubba won the shutdown fight, but couldn’t stand the smell of success…
He got something for buckling – I fucking hope it was Ginsburg, cause short of a SCOTUS, wasn’t worth it.
nice catch, loohoo
The Sweetie has family just south of Lincoln City, and halfway between there and Portland. Very pretty and green. Big rain. Really good real estate prices, I remember! What’s not to like?
i’m gonna be a renter – if i’m lucky, i’ll have $5k out of the house – will have lost everything else but will have that to move with. pretty and green is what i’m looking for. a nice little cottage or cabin, near the ocean or in the woods on a stream or river or with a view of water would be perfect.
Hi Nahant. I’m on time-out at Dkos until midmorning tomorrow (one per 24hrs), but that’s probably the right venue for it. I’m trying to make it less petulant and more in the like the stuff that Glenn writes, but there’s only one of him. I’m happy if I can contribute as much as one insight that he hasn’t covered, which I think I did with my posting of this morning. I’ll probably wait to see what he posts, if anything, and try to reference his stuff in support of mine.
You folks watched me go over the cliff the night before last, and now I can’t stop. But damn, somebody has to nail this stuff.
I feel you’ll be very happy there, Suz!
As you deserve.
hey, its not really going over the cliff when ya have a safety net of pups with ya wigwam.
Heh, you and Token don’t take up much space, eh? *g*
Suz, Your relocation plan is perfect – liberating and empowering. So many great things are ad hoc stumble-upons.
Here’s a useful comment from your diary:
“Leave Obama alone!!!”
i hope so. i moved up here to the little cottage by the creek in the redwoods not knowing anyone up here and it turned out well (other than that whole money thang). i’m sure i can do it there where my money will go farther.
And I can appreciate that . . . as has millions of others . .
I once knew a player in San Mateo, who had given a music lesson or two to Stevie and Lindsay, in late 60’s.”
He lived near Hillsdale High School, and Stevie and Lindsay were living in Woodside.
Then, the duo moved to LA and it all was different . . .*G*
Wigwam (that was me, not nahant)…I don’t go over to the Big Orange very often, it’s too hectic for me…how do I find your diary there to recommend it? when I follow your link, it gets me to the diary, but I’m not logged in. when I log in, it takes me somewhere else, and I don’t know how to get back to your diary.
btw, just curious, are you an attorney?
token thinks he’s a big dog and trys to hog the bed by laying on his back, legs spread open as if he had something there to be proud of.
that was the oakland arena show i saw after my surgery – they came out and her and lindsay both said it was like coming home to them being back in the bay area. they both talked a lot between songs about their times in the west bay.
yeah.
login and return here, then use the link again.
Careful, don’t diss his manhood…! A touchy subject for most…! *g*
I had a lot of fun this morning. If you look at those 132 comments on that diary, it was relatively evenly split and a lot of excellent give and take among the commenters. And, in fact, I got relatively little shit about my unflattering characterization of Barak. Here is my second most favorite comment:
Visualize yourself… in your new home… a year from now… Shrub and Dick put out to pasture… Barry installed and while heartbreakingly disappointing in some areas, an incalculable improvement overall… family nearby… nice… it’s going to be really, really nice…
he’s an it.. token imitation male
…and stray Pups dropping by from all over the country
Shit. I set off that food fight because nobody seemed to be paying attention to the stuff I was posting. The first one got only one comment. The second got five to ten.
Now I know that I have a following. This guy. Who hate me. I feel better already.
At least you’re not upside down on the deal like so many people are. Good for you.
i’ve been doing visualizations – but with dick and boosh at the hague – so far…. not workin
yeap, that’s the lucky part loohoo. enough to move on is good.
…with their muddy shoes, raiding the fridge
Dang, demasculated before he even knew…! There oughta be a law…! ;-)
Gee Suz thats just what Tucker does just as soon as you start petting him… grand illusions
Total admiration for you.
Your ‘fan’ club, eh! ;-)
(Ack! The call! Off to Trader Joe’s to pick The Sweetie up from work!)
Noisy.
Attitudinous.
Feisty.
Belligerent.
Correct.
Got their attention.
Aah, Pau Hana! Ahui ‘hou kakou! ;-)
I’m interested in the effects on the psyche caused by broad surveillance, extensive personal data programs, and the seemingly impermeable walls of secrecy. I need to study up on applicable terminology.
drive safely
tisk tisk
Well pups time for sleep and Neuro we need to coordinate our diggs better:>) Sleep well pups see ya all on the 4th late late night… oh yeah tis the 4th already…ya all know what I mean. Wigwam keep their feet to the fire at the Orange Satan they need it.. too many pansies over there who don’t really seem to understand what the constitution is all about!!
Thanks, Loo Hoo.
I neglected to mention the very supportive comments from PetePierce, who is/was a staunch Obama partison. He knows the folks in the campaign, e.g,, Greg Craig, who made that comment to the NYT yesterday that Glenn picked up on and called and got the message that Obama was not worried about FISA expiring (which was insane) but rather about Bush’s unconstitutional warrantless wiretapping programs that had been renewed for a year under the PAA but will start to expire August 5. Imagine that! Obama bitches about those programs on one line of his post and talks about his concern to save them before the end of the post.
I’ll cut the guy a bit of slack. The schedule he’s keeping must be hell. He can’t have give more than a few minutes attention to that post. Still, with it, he is validating one of the worst excesses of the Bush Administration. He and the WaPo editorial page don’t have daylight between them on this issue.
As much as I admire Prine, he sure can massacre Hawaiian…! ;-)
Aloha, nahant!
‘Nite nahant, and take care. best to your wife, also.
g’nite nahant
I shall bid ya’ll a fond adieu! Aloha Oe!!!

nite suzanne
still jumping up and down about your good news!
I might have known that Glenzilla would be instantly on top of this matter: http://www.salon.com/opinion/g…..index.html
What a treasure that guy is! IMHO, he is this nation’s top political commentator since Thomas Paine.
Paine.
Pamphlets.
Yep.
I just now finished reading Glenzilla. Damn that guy is sooo good. My feeble analysis of Obama’s missive seems suddenly more pale, by comparision. I’ll tweak it and post it tomorrow. Glenn can hurl his boulders. And, I’ll throw my pebbles as hard as I can. May they have a cumulative effect.
G’nite
Sure, and I’m trying to pour through the decision – tough sledding.
nite wigwam. your efforts always appreciated
Hi Newt. Thanks, man. I’m tweaking my Obama response in light of Glenzilla’s masterpiece. (IMHO, they all are. I just didn’t think he’d get anything out until mid-morning.) In any case, mine will be better for my having seen his.
Somehow. Somewhere. I have hope that getting in Obama’s face will make a difference. But, I’m prepared for it to not.
Of all the places in the ProgSphere to go wobbly-knee’d…
Kos place would not have been my bet a year ago.
They know better than to lie back and demand less, or nothing, from their nominee. This is the “hide in the corner” bullshit that got us a feckless Congress and all the shit that slid into the body of law that ChimpCo could want.
Taibbi reiterated this a couple of weeks ago when he said:
He was talking about Democratic leaders, but he might as well have been referring to anyone who lies down for abdications of principle by their chosen nominee.
Where are their nuts? Do they expect Obama to waltz into the Oval after essentially marginalizing us and say, “OK, let’s see what our Progressive friends need,” absent of some cost? If Obama believes there is a free ride in any one of his potential constituencies, he will exploit it fully. I for one do not want to be one of those constituencies.
