I have a ‘new’ 3 month old puppy…..a coated Xolo named Moche. When I got him he had a slight ear infection, and with the stress of weaning spread a rash over his whole body. yikes! A puppy is wiggly, but an itchy puppy is misery.

Of course the vet ran a bunch of tests, no mange or mites-then gave me an antibiotic. But nothing was infected…..and of course they said if that did not work he would have to have allergy tests, etc, etc….

So I did some research and found a new product, Zymox, made by an American company Pet King.

After 2 weeks of itchy miserable puppy, with one application-I bought the ear drops and the skin rinse-all was well. The Zymox cost me $20 for both. It is a combination of 3 enzymes and milk protiens. I have to tell everyone about this because I know it saved me hundreds of dollars and cured my poor puppy really fast. He is now happy and healthy in three days of treatment.

So if any have trouble with a pet ear infection or skin infection try the Zymox first!

Every vet and animal shelter should have this on hand.

Someone should develop this for use in humans….

Well, thank you. That’s is more pitiful that anything that crossed my mind (a short trip.) You may be right…The bus phrase is so graphic and seems to have a history. If he truly did not know he didn’t get it, may be was trying to polish up a bit. Or in the context of sharp elbows Chicago pols, may be the mob uses a truck. Obviously he got my attention….or, as you say, he is just so out of it.

My guess, RevBev, is that Brooks probably thinks that he did get the ‘common’ expression ‘correct’, and he is merely revealing an aspect of how little he understands or knows of the more ‘common’ experience of life.

Although, like Addington, Brooks does regard himself as very clever, if not the most-clever indeed.

Does he shop for his own socks, do you suppose?

Is it too late for another question? Our paper had a piece by David Brooks. He was describing the 2 facets of Obama, the orator and the sharp elbowed pol. For the latter, and repeatedly, he mentioned Obama “throwing…under the truck.” Reading this detour from the usual phrase reminded me of the last night discussion about torture.

Did anyone else see the Brooks piece? Can you explain his use of the substituted “truck” term? I kept wondering if he was evoking the Pickup truck image, trying to be clever, emphasis….it seems to be if you are wanting to use a familiar image, you would stick with the common language. Any ideas?

I see a lot of shows, this one was a masterpiece. The catalog, the number of dresses, the way they broke them down. No one was walking out of there without a huge smile. Even us guys…

This is a must see show, folks.

I agree with cboldt in the use of “cruel and inhuman.” I didn’t want to jump in the middle of that little firefight but I agree that it would put a different, and I think advantageous, perspective on the issue.
