What do I get for #4?
My five was for ya…!
Top ten?
g’evening pups.. everyone grab some popcorn on your way in?
Sure did. Thanks! Got any of those boxes of chocolate raisins?
Is it smokey popcorn, Suzanne?
Are you okay up there?
where off topic is the topic - so dive in.
but I’m *always* off-topic - guess I could be off off-topic, but I’d need a topic first…
I’m so confused.
The Requisite Digg for you Suz!!
I don’t have popcorn so the dogs and I are eating dry cereal - frosted mini-wheats. Betsy hasn’t gotten brave enough to try em yet.
next to the soda machine tex. other side of the beer and hotdog stand.
i’m ok, demi. occasional whiffs of smell of smoke but not too bad. sunset was funky colored tho.
thanks for the digg dood
From my vantage point JayT you are always confused:>)
Talk about everything except the cartoon at the top.
jayt to help confuse ya, we could call the cartoon the topic
could be - but I’m good at it…
Oh, good. I was wondering if Token was going to have to put on the little yellow suit and hat.
I have noticed…. but I do like your comments… But I think you may need to duck more often..
we have had a couple days this month that token and goldie were kept inside. we’ve not had it anywhere as bad as mary mc c has.
you are thinkin’ way too hard. Don’t get in your own way, honey.
this is late late nite - if you are gonna blog, don’t think - if you are gonna think, don’t blog (to paraphrase superchicken’s admonishment to fred)
Haven’t kept that tight a view, is Mary okay? Is Chico near Sac? I should know, but I’m geographically challenged.
Oh, there you are, are you smokey tonight? Hope you’re okay.
mary’s ok.. she’s up near sacto where is in the red in kirk’s map and headed toward maroon. they’ve been inside for a week now iirc.
here’s the state firemap
heh. ok.
thinking too much while commenting - not usually a problem here - easily fixed.
Something like this firepup?
I need to go to bed so I can get up at early thirty tomorrow to go fish. Take care and enjoy.
g’nite dr dick
nite doc
*insecure enough to hope the pause is because everyone is watching the cartoon*
Oh, Bets, that’s exactly how I was envisioning Token.
Out there saving those Redwoods.
But, Seriously, last year when we were camping up there, when we gots to meet Token and Suzanne, we saw the Mother Redwood tree. Hope she’s safe.
*insecure enough to hope the pause is because everyone is watching the cartoon*
I was busy ducking.
Now I got a cramp…
We both can’t be insecure. I thought it was maybe because I’m here….I’ll toddle off, just in case.
big basin state park has avoided the fires so far. the basin fire they are talking about merging with the coast gallery fire is not big basin - its in monterey county near big sur
cough. cough. cough.
no need to toddle off demi
we gotta fit you guys (and dogs) with tear gas masks - that should help ya’ll with the smoke
demi is trying to sneak away. Hey!!!! Come back here. We aren’t through with you yet.
and the kitties.
dayam, knew i was forgetting somethin
kismecat is my blogs name…..who knew?
Oh, that’s right. I got my Bigs mixed up.
so, did anyone figure out the friday nite news dump this week? was there one? should be a good one this week with the holiday (although it will be a thursday nite news dump)
John McCain well OK his wife Cindy hasn’t paid taxes on a La Jolia beach front condo for four years? As soon as Newsweek told Cindy she wrote a check.
http://www.newsweek.com/id/143775/
The media however is saying the McCains forgot about it? Which is bull the media knows that when you have a 100 million or more business/estate/trust etc you have People.
Like a financial planner, a tax attorney if not a whole accounting firm, and a lawyer if not a whole law firm to handle your investments, manage your property etc.
John McCain does not go to H.R block for a quicky tax return to get a rebate check!
Nope John and Cindy have people who once a year should be showing or at least mailing the McCains a list of their assets, debts etc with some cool graphs to show them how much they made or lost that year.
Now then if John and Cindy actually read those yearly statements or their TAX RETURNS they should notice that their California beachfront condo wasn’t mentioned.
Somehow I doubt the McCains are rich enough to forget something that expensive.
way forking kewl, sadly
They teh stupid.
sounds like there may be a job opening at chez McBrain.
(what’s the plural for chez?)
cheezy?
Hi, Pups.
How did your interview go, MaryMcC?
Sorry to hear that my native State is taking such a beating with the fires. Sounds pretty dang ugly. Hope all y’all stay safe.
FunnyD
If they are so loaded that they can forget something like that, they should buy me a beach front condo, doesn’t even have to be in La Jolla either, would be more than happy with one in P.B.
Seriously though, if all they have it for is an ocean view, they could get a lot more for their money outside of La Jolla. That’s some seriously overpriced real estate.
I’m here….but fading fast.
I remember driving through Big Sur 26 years ago while I was very pregnant with my daughter. I was just imagining all those pot fields out there and was so crabby. I’d given up Everything for the baby, and started complaining….I want a cigarette and I want a big ass glass of wine. Ha!
the dirty dishes g
I love love that cartoon. Thanks!
The interview went pretty good. They were supposed to call me later that day but didn’t. i figure they are busy.
cheezy?
I beg your pardon?
Sleazy maybe.
Dang. Something I said?
FunnyD
(whew) thanks margot
You can see my kitchen through the toobz? Oooops.
so you will hear from them monday (fingers and toes crossed for ya)
My daughter used to live in P.B. She was there when that big, very local fire happened a couple of years ago. Scary. I have fire on the brain.
but chez dont start with sl
Nemmermine. My toobz are acting up. I think the en ess ay people are ticked they didn’t get any chips and guacamole.
FunnyD
not at all funny d. how’s the PNW? the bride moves up there tuesday to the portland area
Sort of worried if I do get the job cause I will be qualified for it after faking my way through a couple of weeks/months. I haven’t worked in flash in about five years.
As the sun set on Morro Bat tonight Blackjack and I rowed aross the bay. As it set it was red///those tiny particulates Kirk was describing are west of us in the Pacific?
just like riding a bike, mary mcc. it will come back ya faster than you think it will.
Enn ess ay, enn ess ay, you don’t get no treats today!
its the sunlight refracting off the smoke particles when at a low angle (is how our weather guy described the funky skies near sunset)
no treats, snacks - no nuthin until they turn off the illegal vacuum cleaner
Is it over priced I don’t know real estate all that well?
The best I could find was a single family home on Camino Del Oro 3 bed, 4 bath for $2,700,500 but I couldn’t find a single Condo to compare theMcCain Condo with.
So lets say a Condo costs half that that means John, Cindy and their people forgot about a million dollar home for 4 years.
Somehow I just don’t have to much faith in their ability to manage a budget now.

It’s finally feeling like summer here. Supposed to hit 90 tomorrow. My N/E facing patio is going to be the hangout of choice for a couple of girlfriends who don’t live on a nice, cool ground floor.
Hope the Bride et al have a good move and enjoy the area. My aunt has lived in Portland for 35+ years. They’ve done wonders rehabbing downtown, they’ve got light rail, and someone told me they have twice as many parks as Seattle. Hope you get up this way for a visit!
FunnyD
Hasn’t flash changed a lot the last few years? Just looking at the stuff on Newgrounds, and other sites where there’s lots of flash cartoons and games, things seem to have progressed a bit.
those condo’s on the beach are not discounted much for being a condo instead of a single family. mobile homes are over $1 mil when at the beach down there
Hey! Are you on the Central Coast? Does PB stand for Pismo or Pebble?
Got my BS at Cal Poly. Montana de Oro was one of my favorite places. Much nicer than Avila Beach.
FunnyD
Here’s a La Jolla condo for about $2.5 million.
they are gonna stay with his brother somewhere near beaverton. i figure they will be looking for their own place in that same area. mike is from up there but jen is an east bay san francisco bay area girl who has lived here her whole life. big changes for her.
Its not a vacuum cleaner it is a freaking BLACK HOLE… just ask those who are trying to sue over ti!!
Shhhhhhh.
Mary, you’ll be fine. You one smart cookie.
Good night pups. I am comfortably installed on the guest bed at Gnome’s place. Door closed tight to keep all the furry ones out of the room.
OMG Big Sur national Forrest is a gem on the coast and goes inland quite a ways. I would call out the National Guard for that fire. Please do not let that happen. This not good in July! CDF must be having fits. Smoke junoers and equipment are on the 1000 incisents throughout thw state. Air tanker will have to be flown ib from other states.
Bring back the NG from the Mid East Oil wars.
What I want to know is, is this a house or some lame corporate art?
pain free sleep wishes tex
I lived in Los Osas for 4 years. 1985-89. Went Montana de Oro weekly.
But, but, everyone forgets to pay taxes on their million dollar condo. Ans the IRS doesn’t bat an eyelash or come after you either.
Good night to both of you. And, everyone else.
I’m
Fading
to
Black.
(smooch)
tis eye candy. outta my price range but dayam, love those views
That would be Los Osos.
Here’s a La Jolla condo for about $2.5 million.
Lemme see how much I’ve got on me….
ummm - nope.
g’nite demi
Property tax not income tax.
Hi All! Long time.
(((Suzanne)))
Yeah, the views are nice, but it just doesn’t look like it could be a home. No warmth in the architecture. Might make interesting office space, but a home? I’d have to at least paint that damn concrete.
Sorry for a quick drive by but I’ve got to get going. Just wanted to say hi and let the few of you who would be interested know that I wrote a blog post.
Go figure.
nate! ltns you old dog you. how goes?
Or you could go up to Del Mar, and buy a house for $76 million. It’s weird to think those homes are in the same county as my neighborhood.
Too bad another year hadn’t gone by, the state of California would have just taken the property to pay the tax. If these people can’t manage their own money and affairs how the hell does anyone think McInsane could manage the country?
excellent anthem, nate.
True. But Beaverton is nice, and I think it’s close to the Forestry Center and the Zoo and a Rose Test Garden. So if she’s a bit outdoorsy there’ll be plenty of options.
Anyway, here’s wishing her and hubby and the kids the very best for a happy life together. Must be pretty amazing to be creating a new family.
FunnyD
Dam Suz both of my oldest live in the same area… I was supposed to be up there this week fishing for Salmon with my son….. but we had a new couch being delivered and Tucker had a beauty appointment… funny how things work out if I had been fishing Julie may not have called the Doc… Glad I was here to insist that she did… she is very happy to be home in her own bed… already sleeping.. hospital sleep is not sleep… 5am blood draw 7am breakfast… what is with that???
Why am I always the last to know when you guys have jumped over to a new thread? Late to the party again!
Bob in HI
Thank you Suzanne you sweetie… That’s high praise coming from you.
I’m so glad you were there, nahant. She’s very lucky!
