The best I could find was a single family home on Camino Del Oro 3 bed, 4 bath for $2,700,500 but I couldn’t find a single Condo to compare theMcCain Condo with.
So lets say a Condo costs half that that means John, Cindy and their people forgot about a million dollar home for 4 years.
Somehow I just don’t have to much faith in their ability to manage a budget now.

It’s finally feeling like summer here. Supposed to hit 90 tomorrow. My N/E facing patio is going to be the hangout of choice for a couple of girlfriends who don’t live on a nice, cool ground floor.

Hope the Bride et al have a good move and enjoy the area. My aunt has lived in Portland for 35+ years. They’ve done wonders rehabbing downtown, they’ve got light rail, and someone told me they have twice as many parks as Seattle. Hope you get up this way for a visit!

WASHINGTON – Three Massachusetts congressmen called for a United Nations security force to replace American troops in Iraq as part of a phased plan for withdrawing US soldiers after a new president takes office in January.

Yesterday’s proposal, sponsored by Representatives James P. McGovern, John F. Tierney, and William D. Delahunt, calls for an end to ongoing talks between the United States and Iraq on a long-term security agreement. Instead, according to the proposal, US authorities should immediately start negotiations with the UN on a mandate to govern the “internationalization of responsibility for aid and support to Iraq.”[…]

“For those of us who opposed the war, it is not enough to say the war was a mistake and we should immediately withdraw,” McGovern told reporters in a conference call by the Project on Defense Alternatives at the Commonwealth Institute, a Cambridge-based independent research center that helped draft the report. “Every time we try to bring up the issue of withdrawal, the [Bush] administration shouts ‘bloodbath.’ They make it seem as if there is no choice but to stay. The fact is there are alternatives.”

Those alternatives include normalizing relations with neighboring Syria and seeking a rapprochement with Iran, two nations that have been blamed for fomenting some of the civil strife within Iraq, according to the 30-page report. The plan also calls for “vigorous diplomatic steps” to stop the flow of arms into the country.

The bay is got good high tides and little wind so getting in some rowing. Love M de Oro but no dogs allowed (state park). Mu surfer friends like to surf Hazard Canyon good south swell. Where did you end up?

How funny. I was at Poly 86-91. We probably passed each other on the bluff trail and just nodded hello.

Guess you can tell I’m not the flat sandy beach type. Spooner’s cove and points south were teh awesome.

Maybe you are too rich if you can forget where you spend 2 cents OF EVERY DOLLAR YOU OWN.
Maybe taxes are not high enough after all when money is dear people focus more on productive investments which would help the economy as opposed to FORGETTING ABOUT THEIR INVESTMENTS.
If more rich people focused on making money rather than living off their piles of cash then how much more would the economy improve?
I think I will call this the Asset Neglect Effect or the drag on the economy caused by rich people to rich to care about getting the best return on their money because they are lazy to do the work/notice when 2% of their assets are missing.

I went and got her new meds and then told the nurse we were ready to go and she said a volunteer would wheel her out …. weel 30 min later nothing… so I go and say what the hay… she made sure and called again…. 35 min later and two cooking shows and nada… so Julie says it was her turn and told them she was just going to walk out… boy they started making more calls and then one nurse ran off for a wheel chair… just as she comes back Julies mom’s neighbors show up with their daughter( her student from the Music School) and they said she was going to sing for Julie… but you know little ones…shy and tight as a clam.. So Julie starts singing trying to get Hannah to sing… all the by stander were just amazed with her singing and the Nurse was smiling ear to ear… Again if we had left when we were supposed to we would have missed them and we would not have had such a great discharge from the hospital… you just never know what fate has in store for you… made a shitty thing into a great one..

I called Difi repeatedly to ask her position on FISA. She was supposedly undecided for more than a week. Then one day she made up her mind but was not releasing it to the public. I was told she would be speaking on the Senate floor the following day and if I wanted to know her position I should watch. Part of it may also be that women often don’t present with the “classic” symptoms. And that the symptoms they often present can point to things other than cardiac issues. I’m hoping that there’s much more awareness now that women really are as likely as men to suffer a heart attack.

That bill should be rejected simply for the outrageous way it has been pitched. Starting with the fact that it was negotiated in secret between the Democratic leadership and the telcos and the fact that they put it out for vote in the House before anybody had a chance to read and analyze it — per John Dean, who has studied the bill:

This bill was foisted on the House with unseemly haste.

Although the wealth of the nation increased dramatically in the 90s, the percentage of wealth held by the top 1% of the the country FELL from 37.2% in 1992 to 33.4% in 2001 but the Bush tax cuts quickly reversed that and sent the top 1%’s wealth back to 34.3% by 2004.

Milton Friedman says that when a person knows his income will increase, he’ll spread out those gains over the rest of his life and not spend it all at once. In the case of a $1 minimum wage hike, annual spending should increase by about $400.

But that grossly understates what actually goes on, write economists Daniel Aaronson, Sumit Agarwal, and Eric French in a new Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago working paper.

The trio examined what happened to the consumption and debt levels of households that experienced either a federal or state minimum wage hike.

First, they found that spending didn’t increase when the legislation was passed, but when it went into effect. This goes against Friedman’s theory, which assumes that a person will change spending as soon as he learns of his future income stream.

Second, spending increased by a whopping $800- to $1,000-per-quarter compared with a $250 increase in pay as a result of a minimum wage hike. This means that debt levels also rose.

Neil Bush and his cronies collapsed the Texas-Colorado-Etc economies with the same fucking schemes they pulled Nationally under his big brother.
It took us fucking YEARS to recover. Because we were young and financially prudent.In an economy that allowed for recovery we have health insurance and all the other insurances..
That is not the economy our children begin their adult years in.
