My last dog was some sort of a Springer Spaniel?? but he was 95lbs and very smart. He lived for 17 years and we still miss him, we keep a picture of him with all the family pictures we have on the TV center. We got him when he was very young 2 lbs, age ??? he was rescued from a drainage ditch over near Modesto… named him Champ and he was!

My boy is losing his appetite lately and can walk only with a struggle so I made a bike trailer to get him out in the smells and the scenes that he loves. I already miss his rowdy stubborn attitude. He’s been a handful since I got him at 6 weeks now 14 years 4 months seems soon for him to go. He lays around but just love seeing folks and and chasing the ladies. It is a heart rending thing to see him lose is abilities. He was a great athelete swimming and running Rot /Shep with some Husky. We tour the hood every day now he enjoys being pedaled about. All I can do is let him enjoy what he can. I am plnning a going away party for him real soon as he has lots of friends after 12 years here. Thr racoons and possums will be relieved not to have him around. If politicos had a smidgeaon of dog character we’d be stylin.

His greatest feat is to have lasted this long … most of the greats passed on so quickly …
