The book Cliff was talking about two weeks ago winds up in the Politico today:
The same publisher that distributed the 2004 best-seller that took aim at John Kerry’s Vietnam service is planning a summer release of what’s scheduled to be the first critical book on Barack Obama.
Conservative journalist David Freddoso’s “The Case Against Barack Obama” will offer “a comprehensive, factual look at Obama,” according to Regnery Publishing president and publisher Marjory Ross.

“I think it’s critically important that the country gets a clear and honest view of who is running and what they stand for — warts and all,” Ross says. “With ‘Unfit for Command,’ like ‘The Case against Barack Obama,’ we believe the media has whitewashed the candidate.”
Factual? Clear and honest? Kiss my ass, Marjory.
The Swift Boat Liars’ lies have been thoroughly debunked, again and again, and the only people who still believe them are Dittoheads. Even the Republican party’s current presidential nominee called the Swift Boat Liars "dishonest and dishonorable" in 2004 — and is still slamming them.
So will McSame denounce these filth-peddlers or will he remain silent, now that he’s the candidate?
Freddoso’s book is being promoted by the well-connected conservative public relations firm Creative Response Concepts. The firm, headed by former GOP operative Greg Mueller, also handled publicity for “Unfit for Command” and media relations for the 527 group Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, which in 2004 ran widely covered television advertisements featuring veterans who had served in Vietnam with Kerry, criticizing his conduct and character and claiming he had exaggerated his war record.
Naturally, Jonathan Martin — being the loyal little foot soldier that he is — completely fails to mention in this worthless article that a) the Swift Boat Liars are liars; b) that McSame called them liars; and that c) everyone but people like Jonathan Martin knows they’re liars. We will see this again and again in the coming months, and there’s no excuse for Obama’s campaign to be unprepared. They simply can’t rely on the media to vet these slimeballs.
But for the moment, the question is — where’s John McSame on this?

When has Camp Obama been unprepared for any attack?
Not when McCain sent out Rudy to attack him on terra, terra, terra. Not when Clinton tried to tag him as callow and naive. Not when McCain/Clinton tried to pander a gas tax holiday …
The only thing that strikes me as even remotely not completely prepared was the Reverend Wright debacle. That was more media-driven than a campaign attack.
I’m sure Obama will handle this very capably.

It won’t matter whether or not he denounces them. All it takes is hearing the bullet point on some news show about how it’s b.s and people who have a bias will believe it.
From what I have seen so far, Obama and crew will be ready for this with swift action. They may already be pre-countering it with some hof his current rhetoric.
