In fact I just recently addressed a local Rotary club here in the 9th District. The membership was primarily Republican, and they were particularly receptive to my record of working in bipartisan fashion to solve problems without compromising my core Democratic values. Several members approached me after the meeting and told me they were Republicans and that they were voting for me this November. </p> <p>The fiscal responsibility issue we mentioned earlier is a top concern for most Republicans and independents here.</p> Absolutely.
