Why are the motivations of 2/3rds of the “Representatives” completely opaque? Why don’t we understand why they do what they do?

I think there is a mistaken view that we are their constituents. The truth is their constituents are corporations, the wealthy, the connected, and each other. If you look at it this way, things sharpen up and come into focus fast.

Then donate to Blue America PAC instead. It is totally outside ActBlue and the support goes for Progressive Dems and things like information ads against Stainy Whore

Gillibrand, Herseth, Boyda, McNerney, Sestak, & etc…(only a partial list)

ALL ActBlue-ALL voting for this atrocious betrayal of Democracy and the Constitution.

ActBlue has lost my limited donation budget.

I’m with you Al! This is the Constitution they’re shredding here! If ever leadership was demanded, it’s here in defense of the sacred oath they all betrayed!

I’m taking the additional step of writing to ActBlue to demand a refund of all my many contributions to their candidates who voted for this abomination:
Gillibrand, Herseth, Boyda, McNerney, Sestak, et al.. I’ve completely lost trust in ActBlue’s ability to identify worthy progressives. I’m unsubscribing from their email and action lists and will look elsewhere for reliable analysis and advice on candidates’ character and commitment.

I would make a footnote or extra mention. In some ways his vote didn’t count because the bill was going to pass anyway but OTOH to be the only Republican who voted No certainly stands out.
