Hello? The guy’s been in elected office for over two decades. Talking in public is part of his job. It’s a basic sign of competence. This is like deciding you want to be a chef while believing that it would be a waste of your time to learn to cook.

It’s yet more IOKIYAR crap (they make the same excuses for Bush, and did for Reagan), “Oh, it doesn’t matter that he can’t pull it together on national television.” Uh, yes it does.

Peggy Noonan is one of Obama’s biggest fans, you would know this if you have been reading her columns for the last several months. This one is no different, she is highlighting some of the weaknesses both candidates will face but saying in the end that Obama will be the stronger candidate, and the subtext is that she likes him, even though she is a little wary.

I guess people are not allowed to have thoughtful discussions anymore.

Great point. Being American isn’t enough. They have to prove that they are better Americans or real Americans so they can fell more entitled than the rest of us.
