Escape? Eureka!
es!
Being still in the spiritual mode, what with The Rev. jayt and all, I read “Friday night Episopalianism” — my favorite church. I’d never attended a church before that took a summer vacation. I’m all about that.
Can you Digg it?
Evening Eureka!

Good evening all.. Friend arrived.. storms just moved out.. and we have electric kayak fever!
“3:00 PM Larry Sinclair on Obama (News Conference)
Description: Larry Sinclair on Barack Obama
There will be a Pre-Registration for Press beginning at 1:00pm. All press must show media credentials and must obtain an event press pass to enter the event.
Washington, D.C. – Despite death threats and an organized campaign to prevent him from speaking publicly, Larry Sinclair — on June 18, 2008, at 2:00 PM (Sign in begins at 1:00 PM) in the Holeman Lounge of the National Press Club, 529 14th Street NW, Washington, DC 20045, will for the first time reveal the corroborating evidence for his claim that on November 6 + 7, 1999, Larry: (i) met Obama at a gay bar where Barrack Obama arranged for the purchase of federal Schedule II drugs, (ii) which Larry and Obama thereafter ingested and (iii) then engaged in hi-risk, homosexual activities.
Larry’s story burst on to the scene on January 18, 2008, when Larry released a short video containing these allegations on YouTube.com. That video has had close to a million views yet the mainstream media has completely ignored Larry’s serious allegations. Thereafter, a clearly orchestrated campaign to discredit Larry began on the internet which forced Larry to resort to federal court to protect his reputation.
At the press conference, Larry will (i) reveal the corroborating evidence for his allegations regarding Obama, (ii) address the time-line of the response of the Obama campaign to his allegations and the murder of Donald Young, the openly gay choir director of Trinity United Church of Christ, Obama’s now-former church and (iii) the significance of the refusal of U.S. District Court Judge Henry H. Kennedy, Jr. to allow Larry’s case to proceed.
Sponsored by:Veritas Federal Media
Location: Holeman Lounge
This event is not affiliated with the National Press Club or the Eric Friedheim Library.”
I think all the people in the world want to escape too! The torture that America has pepertrated on the people of the world. Chile, Indonesia, Iraq and anywhere the Corporation wants to exploit.
Yes escapr the CIA.
What’s on my mind tonight is the total news blackout in memory of the late Tim Russert. I have offered my condolences and I don’t want to suggest the man was not entitled to this recognition. But it does trigger my curiosity. In addition to the usual Friday night news dump, I wonder if the boosh administration is taking this opportunity to dump even more inconvenient news they’d rather we didn’t hear than usual into this vacuum.
Doing escapism, did y’all read about our 9th Circuit guy handling a high profile porn case…..until, oops, a reporter go pointed to the porn on the judge’s website? A Reagan appointee. Love those repubs. The guy was actually okay with women painted as cows, and more…….
it does stop folks from wondering what the boosh administration is doing to help out the poor folk up in ceder city and des moines – is boosh gonna eat cake while midwesterners drown?
Of all the great music I got to hear working and hanging at Armadillo World Headquarters, Blondie is up there in my top 10.
Just asking – what’s your point?
Depends. What party do their respective govs belong to?
will for the first time reveal the corroborating evidence for his claim…
As corroborating evidence, “I promise it’s true – really – see this Bible – I’m gonna swear on it! Ya believe me now?” – well, that doesn’t quite cut it.
Blow me, Larry. No, wait, that’s evidently the wrong line to try to insult this guy…
We have to stay on top of this…. who knows what they’re dumping. Will the Iowans get a hand up better than the poor folks in NOLA? And, something on my mind since that time….I suspect that many of the dead were diabetics who couldn’t get at meds. I’ve never read anything about this, but I can’t help but believe that it has legs.
Evening everyone.
Just got back from the True Colors Show in Atlantic City NJ. Cyndi Lauper is a gem of a person, and really kicks some ass as a performer. Her best line tonight “Vote because the American President is more important then the American Idol.”
The B52’s also kicked some major ass. And Keith Strickland is really hot.
Rosie O’Donell played drums on “Girls Just Want to have Fun”
The Clicks are a very good band.
wow – that sounds like a great forking show mm
Our storms moved out at 8:00, and they were wonderful.
Wow! Sound like a hell of show.
Hey Wang,
Suz, what can I get you to drink? Fizzy water? A little wine?
is boosh gonna eat cake while midwesterners drown?
Asparagus, actually. (I’m serious). Ever notice how when Bushie goes abroad, all he talks about is the food?
And never fear – I saw Michael Chertoff
on the jobin the vicinity of the flooding on the teevee just this morning.Blondie on Solid Gold
probably not just diabetics. lotsa medications – i’ve been told that if i dont’ take my thyroid replacement, i’ll die so i take it and keep a good supply of them on hand.
Hey Chris.
I’m going to get some recipes out of you yet.
g’evening, pups.
Millineryman, sounds like a wonderful show to start the weekend.
hey wangdang, i’m doing my usual coffee tonight.

It was great. If the tour comes to your town go.
I was about 20 feet from the stage, it was just as good as last year.
Is she not HOT, or what?
(((((ndfg)))))
It was. It’s so cool that they do this tour for equality. It’s now a tradition in my life.

I’m thinking maybe “Head of the Holy Hedonists” under the Rev jayt on the new business cards. Whaddya think?
wow.
What a ticket!!!!!!!!
Thanks for that visual, audio Mman!
Well, the good folks in Iowa really have my sympathy–we’ve had floods and tornadoes in my area and I don’t wish them on anybody. But those folks are pretty white up there, so maybe they will fare a little better than the people of NOLA did.

Jayt, I missed news of your elevation to the pulpit. Got a link?
Oh lord, was that tonight? Bad case of CRS…
He’s, I think, substituting food for all the alternative substances that he yearns for. Dry drunk for sure.
wasn’t it at the same event that he was videotaped carrying on a conversation with Tony Blair while eating a dinner roll with his mouth open?
OK!
Oh dear Kirk – been off line a lot (damned work) and for some silly reason I thought/hoped the National Press Club would fold and cancel his appearance. Damn!

Yeah, he’s one class dude. Yea, BarbieMama. Ya did good!
my condolences to Al. I hadn’t heard.
You’re welcome, it’s a sweet story about Rosie and the drums. During her monologue she was talking about realizing that your gay when you’re young, and how lesbians seem to realize it a little later then gay men.
She was reciting the sports things, and then said about playing drums. She went on to tell the story about forging her Mom’s name on the permission slip so she could take drum lessons at school while her Mom was sick. Her Mom passed away and she never knew about the drums.
She was really very good on the drums. Her monologue was quite funny too.
Jayt, I missed news of your elevation to the pulpit. Got a link?
ok, so I’m maybe counting my chickens before they’re eggs (or something). Not really ordained yet (on account of that’s not possible until one’s credit card clears, ya know), but I’m feeling more holy already….

Suzanne, I grew up in the Santa Clara Valley — before all the orchards were chopped down to provide room for suburbanization. I love the Santa Cruz Mountains…which is where I think you are. I hope your fires are now downed and that all is well.
Great picture of a real human with compassion I see it in his eyes. ( that is the highjest complement I can offer Vonnegut too) Bet he led a wonderful life and has lots of friends.. I know he will always be in your thoughts. Wang you are on top of a lot of stuff.
NDFG and all accept my warm regards so nice he got to see you joined.
off to bed, have a good evening everyone.
i am in boulder creek in the santa cruz mountains. the bonnydoon fire is still going but, according to calfire, is 65% contained. getting a lotta smoke from the monterey county indians fire this evening as the wind shifted.
still no where as bad as the fire up in the chico area. last i heard, they were evacuating the town of paradise and several smaller towns around it.
i never asked.. i figure thinking i’m gonna die if i miss more than one or two is good for keeping me motivated to take it.

Dearie, I saw an interview with a doctor who was trapped in a hospital in New Orleans which had the power cutoff during the flooding. He said that many of his patients had End Stage Renal Disease and died because they couldn’t get their dialysis. Many dialysis patients are diabetic.

thank you and big hugs to wangdang, DrKirk, Suze, newton, neuro, jayt, Christine, bigbrother, and loohoo. PoppaSpook was 92 but we were assured his problems weren’t immediately life-threatening so it was a bit of a shock. Without “meat-world” friends and family around, the online community has been a real comfort. And especially the Central Texas firepups who rallied to our side in the first difficult hours, Betsy, WangDang, GreenWarrior, Gnomedeplume, and MrGnome. My heart is pretty full.
So, let’s see. This Sinclair fellow is going to get media coverage for his allegations despite his shady background.
Funny, the shady background on the the fella that wrote Favorite Son was enough to get him blackballed and marginalized right out of the gate.
Then he reportedly committed suicide in a motel room.

Wow 2,500,000 hits lotta folks like those crow folks. Thank you jay tee
I know. And I think it is something we all need to be aware of…..that disasters will not necessarily be attended to == particularly with our National Guard offshored. We are all at risk. I’m sure we will hear many things from the recent Iowa disasters…..lack of available medical care. I’m sure I’m not the only one who remembers when FEMA was a governmental agency that one could depend upon. Screw Bush and his cadre of evil-doers. Tragic, really tragic. We are all so diminished by these jerks.
Please look me up! I’m in SD County.
i used to keep 72 hours worth of supplies for emergencies in a kit at home and a kit in the car. after katrina, i upped my kits to a full 7 days worth minumum. most first responders i know now say 7 days is the minimum we should expect to be self sufficient before help arrives.
I’m just so relieved that the fires stayed away from you, Suz…
(((((spook and ndfg)))))
Did you know that FEMA turned away 300 people with boats from the Lafayette area right after Katrina. These were people who understood water, hunting, and fishing. These were people who could have helped. I have long sense given up trying to figure out why these people like to inflict pain and death. I just want them out of office and in jail.
me too
i forking major seriously dislike wildfires
Sure… conditon more kool tubes allright sistah
hows your wonderdog, bigbrother?
There has been a ring of smoke around Sacramento for the last week. This is going to be a wild and crazy fire season. Makes for a beautiful sunset.
I don’t think 7 days was enough for NOLA folks, but I could be wrong. Remember when Y2K was a big deal — some cash (cuz ATMs might not work) and some water (can’t remember what that scare was) — and we were all anxious. Who could have imagined that the govt. could so fail a whole city. And continue to fail it still. Wow. Well, they want us to be complete individuals == you are on your own, folks. I just don’t think that way, but if we don’t get a humane and decent president and govt, then I’ll go all AynRand and look out for me first. Don’t want to, but it’s that or stupid.
I had heard that, Mary, but it is, as usual for the “Administration” typical and tragic.
Hugs,
Heather

Visit the Petrocelli site if you haven’t yet done so. It’s wonderful.
i’m told 7 is the new 3. back before katrina the recommendations were for 3 days. now, the absolute minimum is 7 days. scary when first responders are saying its so fucked up that you are on your own for the first week at least.
The first responders are mostly in Iraq.
i’m sure that has a lot to do with it.
national guard troops and equipment never should have been forking sent there
I just got on, Greg, after all day of Tim Russert. Is there other news? I’M OFFICIALLY ON SUMMER VACATION!!!
scary when first responders are saying its so fucked up that you are on your own for the first week at least.
that sucks. So when did the govt start telling the truth? I’m accustomed to the government lying to me – and sometimes prefer it that way.
Maybe because it’s true *and* scary…
I have seen some amazing moons (suns, too) with south California fires. Surreal. I drove through the Grapevine once and was one of the last through before the Highway Patrol cut off traffic — I don’t even have words to describe the dark orange sky in mid-day. I’ve sat on my porch while ash rained down from a Santa Paula fire. I’d just as soon not have had these experiences. I cry for the earth.
schools out for summer
Hey Al, and everybody else,
Damn it’s a tragedy when a parent passes. Suddenly something you’ve counted on all your life has been snached from you. Suddenly, the world’s a colder planet.
So, to our own end, whom do we have. Each other!
God bless you Al; you were a most righteous son.
Heather, did you change your screen name? Are you the same Heather who used to sign off as Heather, for Dan?
Death is capricious.
Love Lucinda. Thanks.
I don’t really know — and don’t know how to know — which California National Guard troops are deployed to fight Bush’s war. I always thought the National Guard was there to, you know, guard the nation. I guess I just don’t understand the lack of outrage. I just don’t get it. I will never understand how a nation allowed one of it’s loveliest cities (New Orleans) to go down the drain. I guess the right wing pastors who felt god was cleaning up the poor folk was enough to let the president do a fly-over and total neglect. “yer doing a great job Brownie” is a phrase that should live in infamy. Oh, well, I often feel that I’m yelling into a cold wind.
I will never forget sitting at Candlestick Park watching a 49ers game, while falling ash from the Berkeley fire filled the sky and covered all of the crowd. Sirens from all around the Bay Area could be heard but the game never stopped and hardly a fan seemed to care.
Yeah!
Prana,breath control is so healing as it taked the free radicals out that do the damage to your body. Kundalini yoga breath of Fire is an intense rapid in an out of the diaphragm is a cleansing breath exercise..very energizing google;
Kundalini yoga is a physical and meditative discipline, comprising a set of techniques that use the mind, senses and body to create a communication between “mind” and “body”. Kundalini yoga focuses on psycho-spiritual growth and the body’s potential for maturation, giving special consideration to the role of the spine and the endocrine system in the understanding of yogic awakening (Sovatsky, 1998).
Kundalini Yoga concentrates on chakras in the body in order to generate a spiritual power, which is known as kundalini.
Kundalini is the potential form of prana or life force, lying dormant in our bodies. It is conceptualized as a coiled up serpent (literally, ‘kundalini’ in Sanskrit is ‘That which is coiled.’ (Sanskrit kund, “to burn”; kunda, “to coil or to spiral”) but some claim that it should be translated ‘lock of hair of the Beloved’) lying at the base of our spine, which can spring awake when activated by spiritual disciplines.

No problem there. Absolutely, no problem. It won’t be forgotten for centuries of infamy.

911 confused us. We were filled with grief and fear. Then we were taken advantage of by our own government. They did it with both skill and ineptitude.
Now New Orleans belongs to the plastic McMansion people who fill their homes with overwrought furniture. The neighborhoods are gone. I used to be able to tell if you were catholic, protestant, poor, rich, private or public school by your accent. It is gone. 100,000 people have not been able to return. Many more came back and left. New Orleans was the town that care forgot.

But, but! I remember being a young woman in 1970 with neighbors who said they would adopt but would never have children of their own. I’d forgotten, actually, how nasty those times were. I just went all individualist and had kids of my own anyway. I’m not sorry. Though I have those same apprehensions now for my children’s children. And, really!, how hard is to just fun a country decently? I mean, jeez, how hard is it to just be humane? I don’t think any of us asked too much. Late night and all, but I really hate those guys. Hey, Bob HI, I did not make jayt an Episcopalian (did I spell it right?) I just want to know what color robe he’s choosing.
Lots of very nice people have said that Tim Russert was a “wonderful boss.” I believe them, and in fact I found his enthusiasm deceptively infectious when he was on the air. Nevertheless, I have long considered him an enabler of the trends I most loath in American journalism. (Apologies to KO, who doesn’t agree and is IMHO one of the good guys.)
The trend I loath most is the the MSM’s quoting of “official sources.” IMHO, we’ve become a nation of paid liars. Lawyers are paid to lie. PR people are paid to lie. Any professional spokesperson is paid to lie. They are all wordsmiths for hire. And, visibly paid liars are the last people responsible journalists should quote.
And, I want to put in a plug for the lawyers. In a court of law, the jury is told to disregard everything they lawyers say in essence because they are paid to lie. So at least they are honest about it.
But, Harvard Business School teaches all of their students that it is the fiduciary responsibility of CEOs to maximize the profits of the owners on the timeframe that the owners specify, which is usually short. If a CEO makes a decision on the basis of say social responsibility that goes contrary to maximizing near-term profits, he is guilty of “a breach of fiduciary responsibility.”
Think about that the next time you’re watching Olbermann and the ads from the “oil and Gas Conortium” comes on tell you how much they care about the environment.

I doubt Michigan will go the way that california has, which did something about the actual living wage while the corporation i work for turns over billion dollar profits and makes sure i stay under 10$ an hour for my pains.
I’m already girding myself to start up again as it is, at the least. I don’t intend to give up but i’m remembering how much i hate job hunting.
Well, firepups, the time has come, my feline children are dragging me to bed.
Have a restful and inspiring sleep.
Hugs,
Heather
In honor of my son, “Peace out.”
Dear Dearie,
New Orleans is a city that has lots of economic potential. Don’t you understand? Poor folks owned an area with economic wealth. Can’t have that. Unless we all demand it.
Yes, I understand. But I’m also nobody. Talk to the big guys.
alias, from experience I want to tell you not to give up on the hospital. When you are applying for a position in an organization that you are not already a part of, there might be an internal candidate whom they want to promote that you could be completely unaware of, and the application/interview process may be a sham to get that person the position, regardless of who else applied.
There can be other reasons why they would want to hire a particular person that have nothing to do with your own qualifications or with their opinion of you (for example, nepotism or affirmative action).
You have already been through their process once, so you will be better informed next time and perhaps do better. Don’t give up just because somebody else got this particular job. Good luck and keep trying.
((((heather))))
G’nite jayt, Suz and Chacounne.
Heh. Might as well talk to the hand.
Damn, alias. Really pisses me off that someone as dedicated as you should have trouble getting a job. Is your face tatooed or something? This doesn’t make sense.
Yeah and the hits just keep comin out of Bushco. They rolled the shock wave after wave that is why I want impeachment to stop it for good.
Is your face tatooed or something
Loo Hoo – that called for a spew alert!
alias, I believe we’ll all to see work conditions improve…yet how we’ll keep up our energy (and spirit) while waiting is a challenge.
I totally empthasize about how job hunting sucks.
‘Cause of that, I second what neuro says: hospitals/institutions often have a (favored) internal candidate.
That sucks – but the contacts from interviews in the “null” (internal candidate) round can prove to be our allies in the “real” rounds.
Hope you’ll keep pursuing what gives you joy.
I applied for a job when I was in school, and didn’t get it. I was qualified, and presented well (I thought) and the hours were perfect.
So I was having dinner with my parents a few nights later, and related my disappointment to them.
My Dad replied, “Well, the third eye does creep some people out.”
Lifted me right up.
Got a call the following week – hired.
We can hang together or separately one of the founding fathers said. Ayn Rand Atlas Shrugged…we have to be sustainable communities not take from others. It isn’t that hard jus a change in lifestyles.
Do not be discouraged Dearie and the more self reliant you are the more of a neighbor you can be. Hang together.
OMG!! Congratulations to you! Give your sweetie our best! You’re here for the same reason we all are. We have more in common than most people in America. We love our country and want it back. We understand the dire straits we are in and how important it is to elect Obama and so many dems this time around. If not, it’s gone, likely forever.
You are our steady, forever friend, Bob. Thumbs up on your marriage. Can’t wait to meet your bride.
Hugs,
Terry
Yes! If they had prosecuted Nixon and his CREEPs, they wouldn’t all be back now.
And with that pups, I am hitting the feathers. Let the ones you love know you do.
Good for you.
Agreed.
So long as you didn’t lead anyone on….
*g*
alias, if you are still here, I speak from both sides of the hiring table. I applied for plenty of jobs I knew I was qualified for I didn’t get for a variety of reasons.
I also found myself, as a manager, in a position where we would interview the top five people, and two of them would really stand out above the others, and I would wish so much that we had two positions open so that we could hire them both.
You never know, that second position might open up next week and those folks might be more than happy to hire you–IF you keep applying.
Yeah, i’m glad i don’t have any kids. I couldn’t support them like this. Not without welfare from teh government. I can barely feed myself as it is. It’s enough that i’m doing my best to take care of my patients to begin with, and myself.
The sad part is, if any decent changes do occur? it’s going to take at least a year from the time the next president signs it into law to come to fruition. Which still leaves me in the lurch in the short term. I really don’t want a second job, i just want a decent single one and i know for a fact that this particular specialty DOES pay well enough in most cases. I just happen to work for the cheapest of the cheap of the retail pharmacies. (Bastards)
To lull you to sleep, Eric Satie
Love. If computer love is possible. I think it is.
Yup.
If there can be road rage, there can be computer love.

Heather, are you still here?
Well the guest kayakers are down for the count.. I think I will call it a night too..
g’nite fabulous firedogs
Digressing by association. Loo Hoo, you very indirectly bring up a subject that is one of my serious concerns: Why are women now avoiding the computing professions like the plague?
Twenty to thirty years ago, about half of the computer science majors were women. And, in weird ways they outperformed the men, even the geeks. The women would do what I told them at least to the extent that they trusted my judgement. With the geek guys of that era, there was always some testosterone competition. They were sure that they had a better way, e.g., many were highly expert at assembly language programming and weren’t at all hesitant about telling me in the middle of class where I could have saved a microsecond.
Come the end of the term, the women would have working projects. The geeks, would have cockamamie stories about how, if they’d just had time to finish it, their project would have been so awesome it would have knocked my socks off.
It is very sad that the geek culture ran women out of the computing professions. They were very, very good.
nite eureka
must be nice to have your own private water park :-)
good night folks
Sleep well, ES. Wishing save travels (and “homels”) to you and te kyakers.
Off to bed myself.
Good nite ES.
Good nite, wang.
Good nite, Lake.
Late to the party.
My sincerest condolences to Al the Spook, New Deal farmgirl.
Excellent people.
It brings to mind I have this to come to grips with in the not too far distant future with my two 94 year old Grandmothers.
I lost my own mother five days before my twentieth birthday, she drank herself to death at 39.
I beat ya mom.
Good night pups, love each other and treasure our time together.
My husband is a computer geek and he says, just now ’cause I asked, that there are a fair amount of women that he deals with.
Don’t know what your personal experience is, tho.
Anyone remeber a line in a song “hey little sister see what you have done…hey little sister your the only one” just can’t bring it to mind maybe a david bowie song
In my case it was because i wasn’t so good with programming language to begin with. I’m a fairly advanced user by now, after trial and error and general mess ups over the last 10 years online. But before that i just couldn’t master the languages when i had the chance to learn a little of it. I wouldn’t have been intimidated by the geeks, mostly because i am a female geek myself. If i ever get my Music Recording Technician degree at some point, i’ll be trodding on yet another boys’ playground. *evil grin* I already know i’ve got the skill for that, i prove it every time i do a set while streaming online. And at concerts where i really want to go up, shove the roadies out of the way and stop the feedback and get things as close to optimal so i can actually HEAR the singers instead of just the instruments. (ran into that problem last month at a good show, i was NOT happy with them.)
G night and thanks for the tunes.

I’m guessing that they are from the older generation. Or perhaps they came into the profession from Business Degrees rather than the more techie/engineering side.
Wigwam, so sad. I’m always the Pollanna and hope for the best…we’ll see.
Maybe so.
Locally, we have the world worst sound technicians. I suspect that they’re all on drugs, but that only my suspician.
The teaching of programming languages is a very serious artform. Wow.
Yeah, meanwhile i can master gods know how many drug brands and their generics AND the Sig codes in order to prescriptions(that’s not counting the people wrangling skills i have after 13 years in retail so far!). i can listen and know what needs to be fixed for songs or how to put together a set on the fly as i DJ.
My talents lie elsewhere. *grin* Which isn’t bad. It’s just that being a sound tech doesn’t pay the bills much. I’d have to moonlight while doing it, as much as i’m doing now as a Second Life online DJ. I absolutely LOVE it, but it doesn’t pay enough to give me a solid primary or secondary income.
Hey, wigwam, I can only speak for myself as a 55 year old woman. I regret that I didn’t go into the computer sciences. I regret many other things too. Why the hell didn’t I buy the beachfront property in Oceanside, CA when it was dirt cheap? I knew better, but was freaked out by the real estate “experts” and didn’t buy.
Anyone with money would be well served buying in Oceanside right about now.

Good morning, pups. It’s Collins, Blow and Herbert today. La Collins says “Candidates, Fly Away Home,” and that with the general election five months away, it feels as if we’re embarking on a very long cruise with two neighbors in the last throes of a troubled marriage. Mr. Blow asks “Why is Mom in Rehab?” and says a growing percentage of older women are being treated for harder drugs. Mr. Herbert, in “Letters From Vermont,” says intense economic anxiety has gripped tens of millions of working Americans.

The coffee and tea are ready, and there are waffles this morning. I’m having mine with local strawberries, but there’s maple syrup if you prefer. Have a grand day.
Hey,Marion! It’s been lonely here. Thanks for breakfast (as always) I sure look forward to seeing you!
Speaking of Herbert’s column, he references s story from one of Bernie Sanders’ constituents. He has compiled a booklet of these stories, which Bill Moyers mentioned last night and it is up on Bernie’s site. It is heartwrenching. Get it here.
Thanks for that link. Folks here feel the seasonal crunch in the summer, trying to keep cool, but I know that many of the people I work with are between a rock and a hard place already. Echoes of the past… “Are you better off now than you were 4 years ago?”
The New York Times is noted for doing very good obituaries, and here’s their tribute to Tim Russert.
I think the world of Bernie, would that we had 99 more of him! I believe he is the only non-millionaire in the Senate.
new peterr thread upstairs….
I just finished reading the booklet. First thing Monday morning at work I’m printing it out and spreading copies around the office.
It really hits home doesn’t it? See you upstairs!
btw, that was a good obit.
