The wingnuts have helpfully uncovered some very interesting factoids about the Junior Senator from Islamabad Illinois that I did not know. Since we’ve only got 5 months until the general, I thought it’d be good to review them, so we all make the best possible choice.
Thanks to them, we now know that Obama is a Muslim and a radical leftist — more specifically, a Marxist who idolizes Che Guevara. But we’ve also found out that he’s a fascist who’s like Hitler with a Messiah complex and cult-like supporters.
Additionally, we’ve discovered that Obama’s a racist, elitist snob who is blatantly unpatriotic and hates America and, not surprisingly, is married to someone who hates America even more.
But most disturbingly, it appears that Senator Obama might not be American citizen and is a Manchurian Candidate who’s quite possibly a terrorist.
And it’s only June. They’re just getting warmed up. I can’t wait until they reveal that he’s a gay abortionist pornographer who eats puppies.

The resolution of impeachment is not necessarily goin’ into “oblivion”, it’s jest goin’ into the ammunition cache of Conyers’ Judiciary Committee to be hauled out at a moment’s notice if the conditions warrant. Actually this was a very politically astute move on the part of Kucinich, the resolution goes to committee with overwhelming “support”, doesn’t hafta be voted on again on the floor so the committee could move “expeditiously” if need be to bring out any kinda bill, it doesn’t even hafta have any of the original articles in it.
I think the committee could use it after the election to hold over the Chimpenfeuhrer’s head between November and January to halt any blanket pardon party ‘cuz I think if there are formal impeachment proceedings pendin’ the executive may be limited in the discretionary actions he ‘ken take…or maybe not. In any case it’s always gunna be there like a sword of justice if the Chimp tries a midnight bombin’ run on Tehran.

oh, my. Tornado hits boy scout camp in Iowa, 4 killed, at least 20 injured. Breaking News email. This was one of our fears last weekend when the tornado plowed through Hubbard County MN. The beautiful Wilderness Scout camp my husband attended back when he as a kid was right in the pathway.
The alternative to sending the Impeachment resolution to Committee was debating it. Sending it to Committee was the not-brave move. However, privileged resolutions can be brought up in 30 days (and every 30 days thereafter) if not acted upon by the Committee to which they are referred.
So we may see lone Dennis up there again in July, and August, and September….
Perhaps other Democrats will grow a pair and join him next time.
Actually, the way I understand it is once the full House votes on the proceeding for impeachment, as reported out of the HJC, with a simple majority prevailing, it is halted!

Obama doesn’t put his hand over his heart during the playing of the National Anthem. He hasn’t learned he has to put his hand over his heart whenever he is photographed in case the caption is about the Pledge of Allegiance.
I bet his daughters watch that subversive Sesame Street show.
i wonder how it’s going to be like – a completely different methodology vs. the same old tricks – Obama vs. McCain. I haven’t exercised my right to suffrage for years and years (so glad i never voted for bush), but this year, i think Obama might just make me walk up to that booth. i’m sure people will always manage to find dirt or dig up some with this guy, but i’m sure he fills the bill. he’s not even a “lesser evil”, he just is it – well, that’s my humble opinion at least. i’m sure others will say otherwise.

I kinda like Maureen Dowd. She’s got a sharp hatchet, but she wields it pretty evenly. Today’s column about Michelle was more positive than most of her columns about women. While she linked to a hate site, she clearly labeled it as a hate site. I don’t see her publishing links to progressive sites any time soon, but she’s a closet progressive even if she didn’t like Hillary. I don’t find that troubling. I don’t like Hillary either. Big Mo’s right that Mrs. Obama is going to take a lot of heat. She also says Michelle loves Obama deeply. My bet is she likes Michelle and will be positive about her in future columns.
