This from the days when he helped Katherine Graham take over after her husband’s death.</p> <p>Although Buffett’s MO is “letting management manage,” he can’t be too happy to see Hiatt & Downie run the legendary paper over the cliff. He’s also smart and has some progressive values, particularly on tax policy.</p> <p>It will be interesting to see what Buffett does with Berkshire Hathaway’s chunk of WaPo stock.
