Yes We Can haz a nominee! Now we can focus on the clear and resounding defeat of John McCain and all his fellow Republicans this November.

Jus cogens!
Jus cogens yourself, Smgumby. And Buenos Dias!
It’s soupy here, I hope you’re cool.
Good morning all!
Hey twolf!
Washington Journal on Vice Presidents right now. I wonder who McCain will choose, or perhaps I should say, I wonder who will be chosen for him. I’m not sure it’ll be a former Prez candidate, I’m betting it will be a woman.
whoa! a cat just flew by me!
Can’t, my Dad always told me I would go blind if I did…
I think he “picks” Bobby Jindal. He has two things that McCain desperately needs. Youth and a little color.
So you think it’ll be Lindsey Graham?
Kissinger? I was really hoping for something completely different. I guess I’ll watch old Python shows on BBC.
Good morning all.
I haven’t agreed with almost anything Prof. Light has said yet. Sent an email asking him to defend why he thinks McCain is “smart” when all the evidence is to the contrary.
Rumors persist that Charlie Crist is getting married, so I figure that he is grooming himself for higher office.
Good morning, pups. It’s Dowd, Friedman and Rich today. Not content with what she’s already done, MoDo decides to kick someone when she’s down. She typed a thing called “Watch Out, Meryl Streep! She’s a Master Thespian.” She says as Hillary Clinton transforms herself into a team player, she must again fake it till she makes it. Will no one rid me of this troublesome typist? Mr. Friedman’s column is titled “People vs. Dinosaurs,” and he says before dismissing prospects for Israel’s longevity, Iran’s toxic president should remember that while his country invests in oil, Israel invests in its people, a renewable resource. Mr. Rich writes about “One Historic Night, Two Americas,” and says Barack Obama’s resolutely cheerful embrace of the future is a wildly different vision of America than John McCain’s promise of vigilant conservation of the past.

The coffee, tea and hot chocolate are ready, and stopped at the bakery yesterday and picked up some chocolate croissants. There are also some plain ones in case anyone else is like my poor boss at work, allergic to chocolate. It’s going to be another scorcher here, forecast up to 98, with no rain in the future. Have a great day, and stay cool.
rofl, I had a kooky old lit prof who would repeatedly tell us his mother warned him he’d go blind if he didn’t wear his gums, his gum rubbers! Perhaps he was encouraging us to use protection.
If McCain picks Jindal, he won’t be able to harp on Obama’s youth and inexperience. But it sounds like Jindal is on the short list. Christ made it to the Governor’s office, but still seems a risky choice for the Republican ticket.
uh-oh. first caller: “prof light, i agree with almost everything you’ve said”
Yeah, I heard. Didn’t change my mind. On the caller’s issue of fixing the govt, that means going against corp interests and I don’t think either candidate will do that.
second caller too.
from what i’ve heard (tuned in late), i’m with you.
mMmm chocolate croissants, what a treat! Your boss has my sympathy, what a curse to have a chocolate allergy.
Sounds like we’re going to have to do rain dances again this year for you guys down there.
here’s something i bet you will agree with: mccain is not god’s gift to even temperment
Oh shit. If McCain gets Jeebus on the ticket we are screwed!
(couldn’t resist)
Quite an understatement & yes it’s one of the few things I agree with the guest.
scorcher here too. not as hot here in MA as you have to deal with (mid ’90s). but i’m trying to cope w/o air conditioning. yuck.
this is not typical weather for us – especially for early june.
I live in hope that Obama finds something in a debate or town hall meeting that pushes one of his buttons…
I read somewhere that the other day it was over 100 in TORONTO, fer gawd’s sake. But there’s no such thing as climate change…
Ditto midHudson & no AC. I can always go into the city, where I do have AC, if it gets too bad, and it did get down to 70 overnight so sleeping was fine.
Yesterday I had the annual meeting of the Board I’m on* & by the time I got home it was too hot to move. So I’m working my way thru Dreiser’s American Tragedy, a mere 858 pages.

Paul Light: Obama’s made mistakes, Clinton’s made mistakes… uhhhh McCain… uhhhh has made some… uhhhh… bad decisions… uhhh….
So it was a “bad decision” to confuse Sunni and Shi’ite? [snarl]
Historic Huguenot Street looks wonderful, serving on that board must give you real satisfaction.
let me say something because the talking points are already making the rounds
even democrats are bemoaning what they think are the proposals of obama, the republicans are saying he’s going to “cut the military” and though I tell them “he will REBUILD the military with the assets presently being squandered in this rediculous occupation”
they get it but obama needs to make certain people know he is going to undermine our armed forces he is going to rebuild them
they are also saying “he is going to grow government with his social welfare programs”
first, they are not “welfare programs” they are forcing industry to pay the bills they aquire and second, (hopefully), he will not use “taxation” to “fund” these programs they will be funded by “reclaiming assets missapropriated” and “they will be funded by those industries that created the need for said programs”
frame progressive programs correctly, point out that wour economy became the juggernaught BECAUSE of the progressive programs in the new deal and we have half the battle won
McCain isn’t going to decide who his VP will be until the Democratic convention has chosen its ticket… he will have three or four fully vetted options available to him, and will base his pick on what the Dem ticket looks like. (forget Crist, tho… Florida is a lock for McCain, and LA is already GOP country, so Jindal is out)
I’d not be surprised to see McCain pick a surprise candidate like Petraeus (or some very high ranking woman in the military). But I don’t think that McCain is going to pick another ‘white male’ unless it is someone like Petraeus — nothing will establish McCain’s bona fides as a “change” candidate than picking a woman.
Obama, of course, is stuck between a rock and a hard place with his VP pick. Virtually anyone he picks is going to be more qualified to be President than he is, and the more “reassuring” his pick is, the starker the contrast will be.
I love the place. And to add satisfaction, it was on the brink of disaster when I joined 1-1/2 years ago (spending down endowment for the very expensive maintenance of the houses), but the board members already in office & determined to turn it around, plus a talented & dedicated staff (after much turnover) are repsonsible for turning the corner & moving ahead in a great way.
I thinkwe can start to look at evaporative cooling, it’s not a new concept, it’s efficient and inexpensive
here’s an example;
my brother in law created a brook in his backyard and he piped some of the water through the trees and over the leaves to create somthing like a rain forest affect
well, sitting in that area is remarkably cooler then anywhere else in the back yard.
“evaporative cooling”…we need to develope this technology, we don’t need tap water for the process either
An American Tragedy was one of the dullest books I ever read.

If there is an evil cabal controlling things through blackmail, then a closeted gay man is their dream (think Justice Roberts). Crist may be their guy.
Well, then, I’ll regard reading it as punishment for my sins. Lord knows I need to do some retribution.
this is good news, the lead over at think progress right now;
i have a couple of window units (air conditioner) in the basement tempting me…
well, if i’m going to do anything today before i turn into a heat stroked zombie it better be now before the worst heat of the day. catch you later pups.
uh, progressives had better learn how to frame things that sound like spoken english first (”reclaiming assets misappropriated?” WTF!?!?) And the GOP frame is easy to predict — it will be “reparations” — and while Obama can try and distance himself from individuals at TUCC (”I didn’t know”) he’s going to have a much harder time distancing himself from the political implications of the theological foundation of that Church itself (’black liberation theology’)
McCain will pick Jeb!
(bows) Konnichiwa, selise
Gonna have a little treat for ya soon as the station (WMNF) puts the show up to listen again (a little after 9am ET).
In the meantime a very timely comic from this morning:
Non Sequitur
of course there are politicians being blackmailed, I have no doubt republicans but surely democrats as well.
that’s what the nsa program is about after all, just like nixon they are reliving that era, the only differance is they’ve learned from their “mistakes” and think they have pulled it off this time
I fear pelosi might not only be blackmailed but threatened
these are sociopaths in government right now and I do not put it past them to threaten our officers with;
“do not think new york would survive if we are impeached”.
I cannot for the life of me see how someone like pelosi has not impeached and I cannot believe they are holding something over her head enough to prevent it, I am left with other choices other then simple blackmail
My house is historic, so no window AC units for me. I once had an estimate on getting am internal unit installed & it was going to be $12,000 before paying the very expensive electricity rates. For the couple of weeks when it’s too hot, I don’t need to spend that kind of money.
well, you get the idea, I’ll use a thesaurus to get something better for the republicans to follow along
he cannot possibly be that stupid…well he is senile so I suppose he could be but his handlers could not possibly be that stupid
oops, my 43 was for your 38

Yes, well … we might also consider that US affluence came from the 80% of gold reserves accrued to America for ‘winning the war’, ya know?
And between 1946 and 1971, it was well spent for post-war prosperity. Which is why Tricky Dicky had to trash Bretton Woods. Of course, FDR had his little fiddle with citizen gold (that barbaric relic) in 1971 and it’s been downhill ever since.
In other areas, the best way to rebuild the military of a country that spends more on ‘the military’ that the rest of the world: pull the ?130 overseas basis out of commission. The women of Okinawa, for one, would welcome it! Why should the US be supported the EU with 19 bases in Germany? And so forth.
Remember that the stock market crashed in 1929 but it took three years for it to bottom out. And then there was a recession in 1938 … ( I was but two years old, so what did I know then?)
But in my 72d orbit of the sun, I have learned enough to buy ‘that bararic relic’ and hope I last long enough to survive life as we know it.
Coffee’s been consumed and it’s still not too hot, so I’m going to ride my bicycle for awhile. Catch up later.
Good morning Elliot and pups.
Hot, humid and cloudy today central Texas. Reading the lineups for the gab fests I can’t see anyone I would listen to. Oh well….
Not this time. That’s the link to listen to the current program. Every non-public affairs show is archived for a week so folks can listen a second or third time, whatever, about an hour after the show ends. I didn’t catch the first hour of the show this morning so I have to find where the four bits of sermons starts. I’ll put the link up as soon as I’ve determined where they start. It’s a local show called the Gospel Classic Hour and is mostly gospel music but this morning she played segments of sermons by African American preachers. I only caught part of Rev Wright (a new one) and Dr King but there were two before that. I’ll put it up soon as I can.
Have a good ride ecahn. I will ride later also but my 2 wheels have an engine.
For all of the undigested bits of potato:
Alright, you told us so.
I thought of that the other day. I think you may be right.
Kaliméra everyone….. it is a lovely 70 in Phoenix this morning but it will be over 100 by noon…
A McCain/Bush ticket would forever cement the idea of a 3rd Bush term…
…there is just no way they will put the Bush name on the ticket!
I don’t think that’s even remotely possible. If that does happen, then I’d be convinced that the voting machines have been programed.
Is it too much to ask for this fucking asshole to go fuck himself?
I think that is the deal he sold his soul for…. before 2004 he was thinking of leaving the Repugs, he was thinking of becoming a Dem (OH GOD) and even considered being Kerry’s VP pick….. BUT big meeting with BushCo and the deal with the devil was done…. bought and sold to get Jebby the Veep slot… [lots of rumors going way back from people in the know here in AZ]
ANYONE want another Bush as Prez ever?
if only!
and please no more Bushies ever!
OK, here ya go.
Gospel Classic Hour
Click on the listen now link. The fun starts at about 39:30 into the program. The show’s two hours long and the second hour will start automatically at the end of the first hour.
Sideways. With a rake…
I mean seriously! This horse-race shit is fucking destructive!
These MSM gasbags must hate America to keep pulling this shit. Frigging traitors.
They claim to love America it is Americans they hate.
The Biggest problem with the gasbags is that they all live in a bubble, their world is very small, who they really know is also very small and what is said just echo’s over and over again.
That is why when something new comes along [Obama and Edwards] it just freaks them out…. “OMG… what is this new thing…. eewwuuuu” … it doesn’t fit into their neat little world….
Their world view is fixed…. they pick and choose the facts to justify their world view….. or just make sh*t up
AND the ALL love to hear their own voices
Doesn’t matter if it is destructive. They do it partly for the ratings, and partly to entertain themselves, IMHO.
They would be perfectly happy to destroy America, doesn’t matter, as long as they get a good show!
over at Huffpo…..
GM killed the electric car…. high gas prices killed the Hummer…. karma all around…
If we don’t get the damn press to act like the Constitutional actor they are supposed to, we are completely fucked. What can we do about this?
And yet we all get screwed…
gm sold the battery technology that made the electric marketable to the oil industry!
that sale SHOULD have been DISallowed
I believe battery technology has progressed passed that version but if not that technology can be federalized
I also think one of the reasons they didn’t want completely electric vehicles is they don’t break down, too little to go wrong and people would only buy new cars for style not for mechanical failure
The first is educating journalism students that gossip is not news, that stories should NOT be about the journalist, that research and fact checking ARE part of the job and that anyone can use teh Google….
THEN work on a plan but keep it under wraps…. THEN have our new AG John Edwards working with the new FCC commission bust us some trusts, break up ownership, put in fairness in the airwaves [99% is right talk & 1% progressive] … institute some type of board that oversees FACTS in journalism and put in fines for reporting on the “making sh*t up”
break up the Christian station ownership….. WHY does a Christian network have to own 9 stations in the Phoenix market?
Oh Joy!
It’s time for Fox News AllScars
I’m with you on the ownership stuff. The content-review stuff bothers me to some extent. But maybe we do need really strong medicine like that, to treat this horrible sickness.
The same is true here in Tampa. Where do they get the money? It always comes down to money. We should be able to find a way to starve this monster.
burp!
One of those from deep down in the gut – BELLLLLLLLCH uuuurp
That is how we lost our Air America station here in Phoenix…. they bought the frequency right out from under them….. and then put in “canned” Christian content with constant fund drives for money….. THAT is where they get their money….. targeted to give to these con artists
Whahappen!? That mu symbol was freaking me out! I thought FDL was takne over by the Illuminati or something!
Too early for the taking heads here…..
CNN story on Iraq…. first we blow them up so they loose their limbs and now nice American builds prosthetics using a pizza oven…. now Iraqis smile….. OMG…. ya can’t make up that kind of sh*t..
Must have been a very good meal!
Fox News AllScars declare this to be the Fall of the House of Clinton.
I ain’t puttin’ any money on that one.
Fox News Allscars. LOL. I like that.
Ah Oh….. earthquake in Greece….
Hi katymine!
Here is one on Phoenix and a Christian fundy – your County Attorney! From the New Times
Don’t you worry. It’s just a matter of time.
eCahn, if you ever want to make the trek(we can combine it with the Finger Lakes), I can take you to the very factory building where the two people involved the book met. It’s in Cortland, NY, my home town.
yep! we’ll be passing the popcorn when those two meet on stage.
You will NOT believe this but on my flight last Monday guess who was at the gate flying to NYC?
Sheriff Joe was sitting in Row 4D on a flight to NYC…. had to call two friends to assist with an intervention before I did something really stupid….
Both the Andrew Thomas & Sheriff Joe have been using RICO funds in a very creative way…… the Sheriff uses them for trips to Honduras….
WE have two really good candidates running for County Attorney…. Gerald Richard and Tim Nelson……and Dan Saban is running against Sheriff Joe.. Yeeha…. all great candidates…
We agree Jindal is out, but it ain’t because LA is GOP country.
Sheriff Jow in First Calss eh! Doesn’t like to ly with the riff-raff does he. I am surprised he didn’t do an illegal immigration check with all the fellow flyers.
Actually he was bulkhead row…. US Air only has three rows of First Class… did bonk him on the shoulder with my bag going down the aisle…
The thing is I am taller than the Sheriff…. I’m 5′7″ and I towered over him…. NOW I understand a lot……..
Short in every way! *g*
Not that I mind the company AZMatt ….. but where did everyone else go?
I’m here!
Out to brunch probably. We have alot of brunch types here no doubt and they need their OJ and champagne this morning.
Anybody here watching This Week?
reports are that Kerry hands Lindsey his ass.
They’re playin’ like the little droid in “Silent Running.” Standing on the outside of the spacecraft tapping his foot, waiting for a new thread.
That’s after he broke off a 2×4 in it, right?
Does Kerry call Graham on to the $5 carpet?
Won’t be on here for 30 minutes….. watching CNN stupid discussion on the fist bump or Dap that the Obama’s did….. GIVE me a break…. didn’t anyone watch Power Rangers? Doesn’t these talking heads watch ESPN Basketball?
I’m a mid 50 yr old white woman living in AZ and I know that…
I’m here – listening to Randy Newman now. Sipping coffee and wishing for a biscotti to go with it since I missed the croissants.
Here is a wanker: From the WaPo
Boo-hoo the Liberals blame the poor Press, boo-hoo… *sniff*
I wonder what was their first clue?
Maybe the hundreds of articles documenting Condi’s Torture Tea Parties in the White House?
I don’t watch any of the Sunday bobblehead shows any more. I rely on C&L to provide clips of anything worth seeing. And I just absolutely, positively refuse to watch Timmeh the Toady.
katymine, azmatt–drive by to say where everyone might be, is gonna be another hot and humid scorcher here on the other side of the country, so, everyone probably out doing things before the sun gets overhead…..that’s what i’m doin’ anyway, break to cool off, now back out to finish up…….this past week, you have to do stuff early or late in the day…….it’ll be crowded in a little while when people come back indoors…….
sorry, was supposed to be reply to Elliott at 94
Yer talking about people who have an IQ of about 3 below plant life.
Ian was NOT talking about them in his excellent post last night. I’m way too dumb to comment on that post.
Gotta go eat my waffles! *g*
they are emboldened and might be orchestrating this for the election
I wouldn’t mind that strategy on other issues but this one needs to be prosecuted as soon as possible, before they leave office they must be impeached so their entire adminstration is rebuked
that’s right, I think even the birdies were up extra early. I was at the store this morning just as the sun was thinking about coming up, the sky was looking pretty but the sun looked angry.
That is how we live from June through Sept here in Phoenix…. the most crowed times in a grocery store is between 6-7am and after 9pm…. our rush hour starts at 4:30am….
thank you!
Matter o’ fact I gotta go do da laundry. brb
Good Morning Elliot and Firedogs -
Obama should insist on a League of Women Voters sponsored debate – no corporate/Cheney owned moderators -
further – it should only be available on line (pushing independent/new media and in turn of course further diminishing the influence of the Corps)
and while at it – should immediately launch his own Snopes site – where all Republic’s memes go to die :)
How y’all doin !
off topic but very interesting, link to this whenever anyone wants to deny evolution;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italian_Wall_Lizard
incredible amount of evolution witnessed real time…good stuff
You have sent these suggestions to the campaign, right? If not, why not? *g*
I personally think obama SHOULD do the town hall meetings, yes mccain might get some exposure he wouldn’t have otherwise enjoyed however the stark differances between the eloquence of obama and the feebleness of mccain could not possibly be bad
mccain is also a stumbler, cannot react to diversity and when something he says is pointed out to be false he falls all over himself
I think the town hall meetings are a no brainer…literally
Whether in a town hall setting or behind-the-podium debate, Obama will be engaging in a battle of wits with the unarmed guy.
Especially if the audience isn’t of prescreened koolaid drinkers. That would be difficult for McNasty.
Now THERE’S a fabulous idea!
Just chatting with Dru and she coined a zinger that has me itching to share:
“The ’straight talk express’ is a scampaign.
Well, a one-brainer, and that brain’s on our side! *G*
forgot–perris, i sent two notes to that e address…called ’ok, i surrender’ and ’and’….email addy starts with a p with numbers in it…forgot to put ’dmac’ in the subject line…..
==========
ok, i still have dirt to mix and pots to fill……am using my mushroom compost that i forgot about mixed with old dirt, humus and potting soil…with ’soil moist’ and osmocote mixed in halfway down………plants are gonna love it…..they can’t wait to jump in and thrive in their fine new home…….
i potted up a tomato plant for my mom, one that was already ’big’ when i bought it…..last year she had one and the pot was too small, pathetic lookin’ little thing……said she wasn’t going to do it again, kept tellin’ her it was the pot, so, i had two BIG pots and planted one up for her and one for me…..only thing is, they were supposed to both be romas, but one is cherry….they both got fruit this week–i plucked them off, they’re too young to have babies yet…oh well…..i thought it looked funny when i bought it….
bbl.
oh I agree – was just thinking finally here is someone in a position to have some real influence wrt to the next jump for online media
so yeah, in your negotiations with the other campaign, INSIST on one on line only event
and use those coupla million youth votes in your pocket to drive an authentic truth squad site a la Snopes
Southern Dragon – actually passed my ideas along via a line open to HQ :D
If you want to see who’s voting against Barack, look here.
That’s some scary shit.
You da woman!!!
Ran into Charlie Daniels years ago when he was looking to buy a small beach bar on St Pete Beach. Drunker’n a skunk and just plain mean and nasty.
and as the caffeine begins to kick in –
they should also sponsor a car for one race at a NASCAR event – (happens all the time in the season) it doesn’t cost that much in terms of the cash they have – and the ROI is unbelievable
oh, and go ahead, make it the Brickyard!
his fortunes are rising as NASCAR’s falter – they’d be open to it
just don’t give it to one of the usual wall magnets – it has to be a top tier team
Phoenix has a BIG Nascar race in October…… teehee…. that would be great
and now a very cranky cbl shuffles off to work for the day
here is a Sunday song I’ve been dyin’ to share with y’all – unfortunately it comes with one of the worst vids I’ve ever seen on the tube – but . . .oh Kenny! so glad to have found you again :D
Turn It Up !
Not as fiery as the others but a lot of truth on that show this morning. What I’m finding with the sermons in AA churches is that they preach a Christianity pre-Catholic Church. A Christianity not used as a tool of power. They’re more in line with the writings in the Naj Hamadi Library, which the founders of what became the Catholic Church banned and made every effort to destroy.
Jane’s upstairs pups – pickin’ on those wascally faux-journalists agin. ;->
I met CD a couple of times back in the early ’70s in Bowling Gree. He did enjoy the party times in those days.
p.s., hey Elliot. i never would have picked u for a fem-nahZ. *g*
Ya know, at that time I could pull a cork with the best but this guy was so mean and so rude and just awful that I found it impossible to believe the man isn’t that way sober as well.
The sad thing is Charlie used to be cool. Granted it was a long time ago, but he supported Carter, and he wrote songs like Long-haired Country Boy (which he’s changed the lyrics of because he no longer believes in getting stoned in the morning and drunk in the afternoon, what a weenie) and Ballad of Easy Rider. Hell, now he’d be one of the guys chasing after the protagonist in “Easy Rider.”
Now he’s just a bitter, old neocon, he didn’t just drink the Bush kool-aid, he drank the kool-aid and ate the pitcher.
dakine01: he’s like Laura Schlessinger and all the old fuckheads who say “Do what I say, not what I did.”
Boy howdy, is he gonna be mad on election day.
Yeah, Long Haired Country Boy was kinda an anthem for us in those days in BG, KY. And Charlie was not adverse to copping a buzz then either.
OT? actually not since she’s on late edzzzzz today: does anyone else get the feelinging Kay Bailey Hutch is sorta shrinking these days? Withering, almost. Must not be so much fun any more. Watch this drive, Kay.
Welllllll, I’ll have to admit I’ve given up the latter.
long hair’d rednecks . . . scary then, scary now
More like that dive, the “half brainer”? We know ‘bama will show up capable and full-a zing. but… well… i practically guaaarantee it ain’t gonna be yer classic deeebait.
that is a great idea, cbl! The Poconos NASCAR is today, that too, would have been a good locale for it, altho doing it in McCain’s backyard is such a sweet touch.
btw, Jane’s upstairs
Bill Clinton vs. the Citizen Journalist
bye guys. enjoy the morn. i’s goin’ up ta join Jane. bet that’s a relief!
as you were, men. no, don’t get up.
Hee hee, I gave up the former. But ol’ Charlie, once he got Jesus, he became a raging asshole. Just a goddam walking hemorrhoid. I know a lot of people who found jesus and turned into rectums. How the hell does that work, anyway?
Please note:
Long haired country-boys is not the same thing as long haired red-necks.
just like the old “Whisk” cleanser commercials.
“I could-a kild ‘im. Instead I just poured on a little Whisk.”
Today they just pray it away, whatever it be.
I should know. I’m a long haired country boy. It may be white but it’s long and it’s all mine. And it makes the long haired rednecks jealous. Sweeeeet.
isn’t that oxymoronic?
Duly noted and thanks.
Not all red-necks are country boys; sometimes they just sing about ‘em.
and not all country boys are red necks…
Trust me, I are one.
charlie daniels is an ass and so is his keyboard player ’taz’……..but that’s another story.
he proved it again here a few years ago…
they played here at a local county fair, i went cuz former husband wanted to go……was heavily advertised as a ’family show’ over and over on the local radio……it wasn’t…..neither was the ’break’ music they played..songs about drugs, sex, fights, really pissed me off, there were all kind of kids there..how’s that for family values?…..what a liar. he knew his set list and break music when he made the commercial, anything to get out the crowd works for him……there aren’t that many people on this earth that i actually really hate, he’s one of them. i had strong dislike before the fair, during that evening as the rain poured down off and on as each song played as i watched kids of all ages exposed to that crap ’family show’, it turned to hate.
I’m still one at heart but with the chrome dome on top, long hair on the sides just looks rather idiotic and in denial…
I don’t think there’s any more pathetic look on a guy than male-pattern baldness with a straggly pony tail. Embrace you inner Patrick Stewart and rejoice in your chrome dome!
That is funny. Got a couple in my little town. Nothing like a bald spot between the bottom of a ball cap and the start of a straggly 20-strand pony tail. My widow’s peak is inching back so one of these days it’s all gonna have to go. *sniff*
that guy–i hear what you’re sayin’ but i have a friend that has one, one big curl ponytail halfway down his back and it looks kinda japanese, looks good on him…..others i’ve seen? not so much.
but it’s their hair, some women have a ’look’ that is ’unique’ too, to each their own.
i decided to go ahead and dye my hair, i am a purist, so it shocked my friends…..well, an accident happened at the salon–orange, then red, then black cherry red, then brown/red then we highlighted it…… two days and five tries to get it halfway ok to fix it…can’t tell it was a mistake, though we’ll never get this same color again…so, now it’s all different colors layered together……brown, red, highlighted blonde….little nutty, but fun for summer…..
back out to finish planting.
Love country boys – always have. It’s them rednecks – spit – that I don’t much care for, especially the CD variety.
