yes, it’s fashionable to bash a member of the “blue-dog” coalition. but please, let’s be real. this is a largely rural district in iowa — which hadn’t been held by a democrat ever (other than after 1964). boswell is about the best that the district can support. and to his credit, he was one of the blue dogs who spoke in support of the no-telco-immunity bill on the house floor before the house passed its enlightened legislation.

as a resident of boswell’s district, please leave him alone.

For the curd. I was taking a dessert cooking class last week (recreational therapy!) and the chef said that lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruit–all types of citrus made wonderful curds. You just need to adjust the sugar for your taste.

I just heard pumkinhead say he’d like to teach American history in middle school. Guy has no clue. He can come to my fifth grade class. Soon as he gets control, he can start teaching. The hardest part is getting control, the teaching part is easy.
