Over a million hits later. The Daily Show gave credit.
Unsurprisingly, Fox didn’t.

wooHoo!
– and we’re back too!!
mornin’ Elliott – we be back indeed.
this calls for cupcakes for breakfast!
Oh, we’re back? Boy, the Doctor’s gonna be really mad that I took the Tardis on a little side trip.
It sucked being down. FDL is too important.
this calls for cupcakes for breakfast!
Well, in celebration, and since it’s you, ok I’ll forego the usual cold pizza. Mmmm – pizza – all the right food groups and everything. Bread, veggies, meat, and umm, crust.
That about covers it, doesn’t it?
What did Fox say is this the end of the Democratic Party? Or McCain is sure to win big in November now!
Ha if they believed any of this divide the Democrats story line then why isn’t McCain offering Hilary the Vice Presidency?
Kerry offered it to him, Hilary I’m sure got more votes in the Democratic primary than McCain got in the GOP primary, Hilary maybe got more votes than the entire GOP primary field got.
Can Banjo boy or Mitt “I have to sue banks to get them to loan me money like they agreed to ” can they give McCain more votes than McCain got?
ahh yum!
leftover pizza– love it, then cupcakes :)
FDL down is really hard on lurkers too…so glad we’re back…and boy. Jane practically falling over someone to follow Harriet out for that footage is true guerilla video! Yeah, over a million viewers, just amazing, congrats.
i was jonesin for the lake real bad
now i can go to sleep
hip hip hurray for the tech crew
Good morning, pups. Glad we can all gather together again… It’s Bobo and Herbert today. Bobo is “Calling Dr. Doom,” and says John McCain and Barack Obama are exhibiting unmerited confidence that they will win in the fall, and that it is time to inject some anxiety. Mr. Herbert writes about “A Gift to the G.O.P.” and that the Democratic Party’s war with itself can only make you wonder about its vaunted claims of moral superiority when it comes to tolerance.

The coffee, tea and hot chocolate are ready, and the biscuits are out of the oven. If you want something to go along with your cupcakes I’d suggest strawberry shortcake made with fresh biscuits and local strawberries (I still have some left) and lightly sweetened whipped cream. Gotta dash off to the salt mines. Better to have been down last night than tonight…
*waving to sleepy pup*
Poifect!
P.S. Many, many Americans are ignoring the important “crust” food group. Maybe Hillary can address this in her new health-care plan.
Goooood morning Jane, pups!
Glad that the Daily Show covered the meeting about Michigan and Florida. Given that people are going to be arguing about it years from now, historians will need to have some data. It’s possible that more people got their information about this decision from the Daily Show than from any other source.
Thanks to you and Marcy for being there and providing real coverage.
morning amazona, don’t lurk so long in between comments.
Jane’s “Clinton Supporter Thrown Out of Rules Committee Meeting” video has over a million hits and it’s one of the most commented political videos of all time! :)

I haven’t been able to come onto firedog lake since yesterday, first I ahd someone elses computer and then I couldn’t find the place
anyway, g’morning all!
Jon was great in his interview with Scotty last night. His focus on the intent to mislead being the essence of deception was masterful. Scotty could not get away with his, “Sure, they [we] lied, but we didn’t mean it.” bullshit.
Does Jane get any cash for this?
Wow. Here’s what I sent out to my email list:
Thanks, Elliot, appreciate it. Am up early here in Arizona where you all may have seen yesterday is now considered a “swing state.” McCain has barely shown up here for 8 years and he’s in trouble vis Obama.
Katrina Vandenhowyadoin coming up next on JoeScar (blessedly Joe-less again today).
In trouble in his home state? Gawd. That’s as amazing as the fact that blood-red Indiana may well be in play….
gee, Things, I dunno, but I don’t think so, you mean from the Daily Show? But it’s a thrill to see firedoglake getting more and more “street cred” Froomkin quoted Scarecrow yesterday. Some things don’t need to be measured in dollars.
And there’s some discussion about the fact that Bob Barr may take votes away from McSame here in Georgia. [rubs hands in glee]
How many other homes does this “man of the people” have?
How’d he end up in Arizona anyway?
I’d like to see that interview! I’ve seen several Scotty’s done this week, seems a little less than genuous about his “change of heart” story.
Morning — welcome back!
And boo-yah! on the props from TDS, Jane.
That, and bloggers mention in the Twix commercial–bloggers rawk!
CNN Ali Velchi pimpin’ what-ifs and…what’s this?…every scenario except Dem WH-Dem Congress. Brace yerself, babee…we’re gonna make it happen.
He followed the trophy wife’s money….
Wonder if the MI FL Hunters are looking for Cindy Mac?
OT: Bo Diddley passed away at age of 79.
The dry heat keeps him from decomposing.
ewww!
Everything here is oo jah cum spiff, again. Groovy!
Good morning everyone. I’m glad to hear y’all in a good mood. But I’m worried about what will happen with HRC supporters. I was not an Obama supporter to begin with; I decided to vote for him rather than Clinton (all that were left by the time the primaries came to me) the day before the election. I don’t understand all this Obama-bashing. What can we do about this? It scares me to think of McCain winning (or even coming close, which would be demoralizing!).
omg! At first I thought you were talking about the dear departed Bo Diddley!
Here’s Bo with I’m a Man
because he was quite the man.
What can we do about this?
The Harriet Christians may be gone forever. They can be off-set by going after the huge disaffected Republican bloc.
I’m wondering what it says about me that I get that joke?
Chuckle. The juxtaposition of those two comment is bizarre.
Attaturk’s upstairs with Cheney’s Cheney
Nah, he’s here in FL.
McCain spokesman on CNN re McCain announcing his campaign kickoff in NOLA tonight.
Will he bring cake?
New car registrations down 16% in Pinellas County. New registrations for GMC down 30% and Dodge down 42%. Value of used cars down. Thinkin’ about tradin’ in that SUV for a Mini? Won’t get much in trade-in.
Three schools being closed this afternoon (last day of school here). Enrollment dropped by 8000 kids this year. Families left the state. Property taxes and insurance issues.
Of course, that won’t do too much towards moving the Dem Party to the left however.
Morning pups. Tristero has a good piece via Froomkin over at Digby’s place on how Bush got his dictatorship. Worth a discussion here. Did Digby close down her comments section as a result of the Clinton kerfluffle?
Morning. While FDL was down got to catchup on other sites. Bo Didley tunes over at Crooks and Liars a tribute to him by the Animals was very nice.
Glad FDL is up and running and the commentors that bring news items from al over was missed by yours truly.
What caused the breakdown?
