Login HereMarcy Wheeler buttonholed John Conyers over the weekend in a Starbucks at the DNC Rules & Bylaws meeting. She asked him about his interest in hauling Scott McClellan before the House Judiciary Committee and suggesting that Scooter Libby might be up for a bit of questioning, too.
Conyers also talks about his "good friend" Karl Rove.
"Well, we could just arrest him and bring him in, right?" says Marcy.
"Inherent contempt? You've heard of that too?" replies Conyers.
Marcy points out that in his book, McClellan really says that Bush authorized the leak of Valerie Plame's identity.
And then we all enjoyed caffeinated beverages.

Maybe Conyers doesn’t want to tip Karl off that he might just come and arrest him, so he doesn’t disappear.

But, if it was me, it’d be easier to disrupt using a denial-of-service attack (basically overloading fdl servers w/ nonsense requests) than by trying to hack something on the tubez between us and fdl. DOS attack would be hard to distinguish from too heavy of a load …

It is a request to return a packet to it’s source. Used to check network connectivity between two computers. But can be used to create denial of service(DOS) by having lots of computers sending multiple PING requests all at the same time.

From what we’ve seen, Conyers is all talk, no action…a paper tiger, sorry to say, but his colleagues don’t seem to want to pull the trigger either.
