McCain thinks the economic problems in America is not real, says it’s just a “psychological” problem. McCain’s housing policy was shaped by a lobbyist who was being paid by a foreign government to feed him that very policy! Remember Bush’s plan to gamble social security on the stock market privatize Social Security? Well, McCain is on board and touring with Bush to make that plan a reality. McCain refuses any renegotiation of NAFTA, preferring to put the interests of multinational corporations ahead of the needs of working families. McCain continues to support Bush’s plan in Iraq. Don’t forget McCain’s idea that 100 years in Iraq is “fine” by him. McCain thinks it was right for Bush to veto funding for health insurance for poor children — even though he has always enjoyed government-run health care for himself! McCain even stands with Bush and against 75 out of 100 Senators who voted to update the GI Bill. That is his version of supporting the troops. McCain does not support a womans right to choose, and wants Roe vs Wade overturned!

Considering that this is a very partial list, the real question should be how could anyone support this mans ambition to be the President of the United States?

McCain supports the troops so much, he doesn’t want them to have any other options than the military. It is shameful that he was one of the few to vote against education benefits for out troops.

I’ve always paid attention to my instincts and the last few days I think are telling me something. Democracy Now! devoted over 30 minutes to Tariq Ali today and I thought the timing was prescient. And well worth watching.

Things are not going well for the GZG, Scotty is on all the bobblehead shows, his book is out, the media are in a frenzy one way or the other, the WH appears to be in a daze (yeah, I know, what’s new), venues for McCain’s fundraisers are bailing, etc, etc. The hole under their rock is in disarray and they’re turning on their own.

And now Lady Jane’s post re googlebombing. No time like the present to start an all out assault on the Rethugs. The Rethugs have accumulated power by any means they could over the last 30 years. They’ve turned the world into a living nightmare with their quest for wealth and power and inability to govern. It’s time to take it away from them, non-violently, By. Any. Means. Necessary. We have the ability to make life a living hell for the Rethugs and their sycophants this summer and fall. Got a Dem challenging a Rethug in a Senate or House race where you live this year? We can expand the McCain googlebomb to the down ticket races. We can hammer ‘em every day until the election. Be creative, think of ways we can use the toobz to our advantage. Senator Feinstein trie to pass a similar bill in the Senate after Israel dumped over 4 million of the toylike cluster bomblets over all of Lebanan in the war of 2006. But the bill was defeated when Hillary Clinton, Joe Lieberman and a few other Dems crossed party lines to vote with all of the Republicans, including John McCain.

Obama supported Feinstein and the majority of Democrats.
But get this:

only China, Russia, Israel and the United States refused to participate, with Israel going even further to claim “their” use was legal and justified, despite the US claims that their use was illegal since the weapons were US made.

Yep we need more war mongers in DC like we need more rules written by war mongers.
