it is IMPOSSIBLE to win any “occupation” you either lose or you anialate those people, they do not want you there and they will continue to want their land and their assets back, there is no “winning”, you ALWAYS negotiate a truce or you lose or you anialate

now, that being obvious once told, let’s look at what the administration has done to show every single IRaqi he is NOT their benfactor and he has NO intention of “winning their hearts and minds”

you CANNOT POSSIBLY “win the hearts and minds of a land when you are KNOWN to torture their people, when you are KNOWN to hold innocents and give them no hope to prove that they are innocent

and you CANNOT be considered their “benefactor” when you allow their infrastructure to be destroyed, when you encourage one group to overwhelm other groups of people

the ONLY reason to use tactics that include torture is when you DO NOT WANT TO WIN THEIR HEARTS AND MINDS

becuase once you are known to endorse torture you have created far more enemies who will commit far more acts of terror then you make believe you have solved with “information from torture”

not only do you get LESS information from torture, you also cause MORE acts against you

AND EVERYONE IN THE ADMINISTRATION KNOWS THIS

The Himalayan nation of Nepal has become the world’s newest republic, ending 240 years of monarchy.

Royal rule was officially abolished by a new constituent assembly meeting in the capital, Kathmandu.

The Maoists, who emerged as the largest party in last month’s elections, were committed to ousting King Gyanendra and creating a republic.

They entered politics in 2006, after signing a peace agreement that ended a decade-long insurgency.

Several thousand people have been celebrating in the streets of Kathmandu, anticipating the change.
