Hi Suzanne

Phoenix Protests McCain Video
Bush visit to Phoenix for McCain
i think the guy playing guitar wearing green and white is a young rodney crowell.. maybe
I liked the Quit calling Me Your Friend sign
crap, i forgot the link for those who want to pop out the utube into another tab.. here is it
I really Digg ya, baby!
Don’t forget your shovels for Digging! You can find them out behind the shed!
looks like nahant won the dueling duggs tonight
What do you think of the coverage of the Fund raiser & the Protest?
I thought it was pretty fair and seemed to focus on the protest over the McCain fund raiser…
i always take ‘my friend’ as a sure sign he is getting ready to lie
Dam Neuro we did it again you posted under All » Lifestyle » Arts & Culture and I did under Music… Oh Well Digg them Both
Oooh. I have tickets to see Emmylou this July. I looooove Emmylou. The classiest act in country.
Mark Sandman and Emmylou Harris is an interesting combination, though the two drummers were way off. Or maybe I should just not try to watch YouTube music vids while listening to music. Occasionally though, it’s magic!
I left you a reply downstairs. It’s all good *g*
i’ve been a fan of her’s for decades. she puts on great shows and her voice is so dayam pure
Love Emmylou! That was a wonderful lullabye.
And here I thought him opening his mouth was a sure sign of lying.
You know you are so right. He is about to hit one out of the park when he busts that damn, My Friend bullshit. Mr and I will have to turn that into a drinking game one night
digging them both dilutes the effectiveness of the digg
we go with the dig that was up top (the first digg)- which was yours, nahant
He does seem to wrestle with veracity, doesn’t he?
Nite everyone….. 2 days and 12 hrs until I have AC …..
Muhammad Cohen reports for Asia Times Online, Bush ‘plans Iran air strike by August’.
fingers and toes crossed ya don’t have a heat wave between now and then katymine
sleep well
loohoo, are ya leaving? lullaby made me wonder
boa noite Katy
This looks like it was made about 1978. This is the early version of the Hot Band, as near as I can tell.
The song performed by Emmy Lou is actually called “You Never Can Tell.” It’s by Chuck Berry.
Oh yeah, it’s always good. I talk hot but really I don’t get angry much. I’m very sorry I offended you.
Shit!
Feinstein and Lugar - if ever there was a time to stand up…
97 tomorrow…. and Thursday….. can’t hear for all the fans running… but remember….. its a dry heat…
i’ve heard it referred to by both titles - and yes, chuck did it first.. i was unable to find a good video of chuck doing it so i went with the emmylou version
Don’t worry about it. can’t be mad at a fellow bball fan.
Time for you all to move to Seattle!
born to run
That’s the nicest I’ve ever seen someone say “Full of shit.” Even my racist grandfather from Arizona won’t vote for him.
david, here is emmylou and the hot band from 1978 - i really had a ball last nite
Having Ben Netanyahu in charge of Israel will help to make this a reality, no doubt.

Yup. Good night everyone.
Did Portland for 19 years….. still scraping the rust and barnacles off… besides I am Bi-City person…. my boyfriend lives in Portland and we shuttle back and forth….. But since he is the big poohbah doing the NBA finals for ESPN…. I’m here cooking it out until the AC gets installed….
g’nite loohoo sleep well
nite loo hoo
Yeah, I have to live vicariously through watching it. I blew out my knee when I was 29 (no ACL, very little meniscus left) so I can’t play anymore, though I am teaching my 7-year-old, who seems to have inherited my love of the game. I was never much good really (I was quick but my small hands limited my ballhandling, and I was only an average shooter) but damn I love the game.
But I think people who wrap up their beings in watching it are the real nuts. It’s supposed to be fun, dammit.
lol
boa noite loohoo
Funny. Letterman introduced her and said “Born to Run” was from Spyboy, but it’s actually on Cimarron.
ouch! 8 knee surgeries here - the last one was total knee replacement - try to avoid getting one of those as long as possible david
Night. (for real now!)
gosh, jayt is another emmylou fan - he musta gone to bed early for a change since i don’t see him around tonight
I find that barnacles are very helpful in developing a thick skin. And that has been very helpful for enduring the Bush years.
but nevertheless it is easy to get too caught up in it and take the games too personally. I have been guilty of that (officiating from the heart kind of thing). I played in jr high and high school but didn’t want to play in college (go figure) but I also played soccer (kind of had to) but gave that up as well to sit on my ass and read world literature.
BTW way cool that your passing your love for the game along.
I just read this. Who is your boyfriend? (not that I’m an ESPN person and would know who he is)
So you understand trash talk. [grin]
8? wow
oh yeah *g*
Yes, the doc tells me that someday I’ll have one. Right now the joint looks funny, so that can’t be good. But I’m staving it off as long as possible. Bicycling has been good therapy.
I could have played through college but I had really lost my love for playing. Never lost it for watching. I’m trying to pass it along to mr but he is british and well I’m dragging him along slowly but surely *g*.
Funny, Karl The Genius Rove is now telling the world that Bush kept his spokesman for the Whitehouse “out of the loop”.
Turdblossom is as bad a liar as he is a strategist.

took a full year before i felt like me again. that is the roughest surgery i’ve had. i’ve recovered from a 9lb 10 oz baby faster
He could also use a little help in the fashion department. Well actually I still want to know who the hell procreated with that man and created off spring.
wobbly, iirc, her b/f is involved in the filming of the games - maybe camera operator?
that made me cross my legs and do a few Kegel exercises
ahhh got it. thanks
Well, at least you two have soccer (or is it football?).
The Brits have never cottoned to bball. Now, the French, they love it. Aussies are very good players. But I don’t think they even have a pro league in the UK.
i’m sure mr wobbly will thank me (laughing)
David,
Here’s another reason to be proud of Seatle. Unfortunately, I don’t know how to link….but the top story today in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer is ” Firm’s unlikely client : Bin Laden’s ex-driver. Seattle lawyers taking on Bush, Guantanamo.
Oh yeah, they ROCK !!!!!!
And Perkins Cole of Seattle need us all to have their back. They are putting their belief in the Constitution on the line.
I bet you were younger then … [grin]
The worst part about growing old is that the body is so slow to recover now.
I have some friends in that firm. Yes, they’re doing the Lord’s work.
i was 34 when i had baby girl and 48 when i had TNR - those 14 years sure took their toll
I don’t think there is one either. But mr likes the continual action of the game. He is getting more into it as the years/seasons go by.
It is football but so as not to confuse the yanks (his words, not mine) we say soccer.
LMAO he thanks you for encouraging the ‘exercises’ LMAO
The toll was no doubt deepened by raising a teenager. [grin]
If we ever have kids, they would be better suited for basketball (height wise)
I saw her in…well, years ago and it was one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen.
ola margot
the toll was last night… as she drove here from utah (where she has been going to school). first time for that long a drive - utah to the monterey bay.
i was needing some of them industrial strength tranquilizers waiting
hey margot
teens are a piece of cake compared to the college years
What school in Utah? (I was born in Utah. And no, I’m not Mormon.)
dixie in st george. she is studying to be emt and eventual paramedic
I’ve seen her I think five times. Interviewed her once. Just a really fine person, not a prima donna at all, very down to earth. She has that rep in the biz, too. I think she just lives in an apartment in Nashville still; has never done the mansion thing.
My mother would totally agree with you
Ah, the lovely part of Utah. Lucky her. Does she do the outdoorsy stuff (Moab, Canyonlands, etc.)?
they can still be intimidated while a teen (and grounded)
hard to pull that off once they are out of the home living on their own - but that don’t mean i won’t be trying (laughing)
she’s working nites at a home for developmentally disabled adults so not a lot of time for outdoor activities between work, school and church. she is active in her evangelical church youth programs - lots of camping up on cedar mountain etc
sigh interviewed her face to face sigh
i bet her speaking voice is as lovely as her singing voice
Sounds very nice. There certainly are worse places to be. (Ogden, for example.)
Well, gang, I gotta be up in six hours to run the show, and I still have to make out the schedule for the doggies. It’s been fun. ‘Nite.
my mother was still able to wield some control but once we were over in Europe fuh-get-about-it (LOL)
g’nite david and it was great hanging in the comments with you
boa noite David
That high pure voice is just heaven to me.
Ola Wobbs, Suz and everyone!
nite david
waiting for mr to make our make shift bed (we’re buning downstairs with the pup so she won’t try to climb the stairs)
that’s it for me pups
mr says bed is ready and just in time.
a good night’s sleep, pleasant dreams and a beautiful tomorrow I wish you all
boa noite
boa noite wobblys
nite wobbly
Suz give it up she will do what she wants to do! The trick is that by now you have already made her ready to make her own choices… but it does feel good when they ask for advice…. but you have to always let her know that the final decision IS hers… At lest thats what I have done with all of them and we are still good friends:>)
Night one and all.
P.S. I take it the Bush gang has rented a fleet of buses that will be idling overnight in readiness for their bums rush on Scotty McLellan.
Put on a helmut Scotty.
-G
g’nite greg b
i gather her dad was really driving her nuts with his calls about where are you now. it was her first cross country solo drive
Good for her… Our youngest just drove up by himself from Carlsbad(girl friends house) he is home for the Summer and will be helping at the Summer session at the Music School… he is really good with the little ones.
she was so tired when she got here at 4:35 ca time that she brought in her suitcase and went to bed.
errr 4:35 am ca time
Sounds familar… when my oldest came down on the 17th he had just finished his shift at the ICU from 7 PM to & AM… He still stayed up till 2 am
Matt Taibbi on TDS with his new book - i hope we book it for book salon.. sounds like that would be a great book
The Great Derangement: A Terrifying True Story of War, Politics, and Religion at the Twilight of the American Empire
yeap, she said she slept 14 hours, woke up and decided to leave mon instead of the original plan of arriving tues. works for me (more time with her) but dayam, those were nervous hours for me.
I really liked his description of how he had infiltrated crazy right-wing groups, was it Rev. Hagee’s church that he joined? All for the purposes of research. Vomiting demons into a paper bag.
I take it at this hour there are no “spoilers”?
yep, infiltrated the great hagee and learned how to vomit demons out into a paper bag
it airs simultaneously on the west coast and hawaii so no more spoilers in this time zone
I wonder whether Hagee now has them vomiting the “McCain Demon” now that McCain has denounced him…
bwa-hahahaha
perhaps they add some parsley to the bag to help out their fellow denounced
Here’
