Phoenix Protests McCain Video
Bush visit to Phoenix for McCain
i think the guy playing guitar wearing green and white is a young rodney crowell.. maybe
I liked the Quit calling Me Your Friend sign
crap, i forgot the link for those who want to pop out the utube into another tab.. here is it
I really Digg ya, baby!
Don’t forget your shovels for Digging! You can find them out behind the shed!
looks like nahant won the dueling duggs tonight
What do you think of the coverage of the Fund raiser & the Protest?
I thought it was pretty fair and seemed to focus on the protest over the McCain fund raiser…
i always take ‘my friend’ as a sure sign he is getting ready to lie
Dam Neuro we did it again you posted under All » Lifestyle » Arts & Culture and I did under Music… Oh Well Digg them Both
Oooh. I have tickets to see Emmylou this July. I looooove Emmylou. The classiest act in country.
Mark Sandman and Emmylou Harris is an interesting combination, though the two drummers were way off. Or maybe I should just not try to watch YouTube music vids while listening to music. Occasionally though, it’s magic!
I left you a reply downstairs. It’s all good *g*
i’ve been a fan of her’s for decades. she puts on great shows and her voice is so dayam pure
Love Emmylou! That was a wonderful lullabye.
And here I thought him opening his mouth was a sure sign of lying.
You know you are so right. He is about to hit one out of the park when he busts that damn, My Friend bullshit. Mr and I will have to turn that into a drinking game one night
digging them both dilutes the effectiveness of the digg
we go with the dig that was up top (the first digg)- which was yours, nahant
He does seem to wrestle with veracity, doesn’t he?
Nite everyone….. 2 days and 12 hrs until I have AC …..
Muhammad Cohen reports for Asia Times Online, Bush ‘plans Iran air strike by August’.
fingers and toes crossed ya don’t have a heat wave between now and then katymine
sleep well
loohoo, are ya leaving? lullaby made me wonder
boa noite Katy
This looks like it was made about 1978. This is the early version of the Hot Band, as near as I can tell.
The song performed by Emmy Lou is actually called “You Never Can Tell.” It’s by Chuck Berry.
Oh yeah, it’s always good. I talk hot but really I don’t get angry much. I’m very sorry I offended you.
Shit!
Feinstein and Lugar – if ever there was a time to stand up…
97 tomorrow…. and Thursday….. can’t hear for all the fans running… but remember….. its a dry heat…
i’ve heard it referred to by both titles – and yes, chuck did it first.. i was unable to find a good video of chuck doing it so i went with the emmylou version
Don’t worry about it. can’t be mad at a fellow bball fan.
Time for you all to move to Seattle!
born to run
That’s the nicest I’ve ever seen someone say “Full of shit.” Even my racist grandfather from Arizona won’t vote for him.
david, here is emmylou and the hot band from 1978 – i really had a ball last nite
Having Ben Netanyahu in charge of Israel will help to make this a reality, no doubt.
-G
Yup. Good night everyone.
Did Portland for 19 years….. still scraping the rust and barnacles off… besides I am Bi-City person…. my boyfriend lives in Portland and we shuttle back and forth….. But since he is the big poohbah doing the NBA finals for ESPN…. I’m here cooking it out until the AC gets installed….
g’nite loohoo sleep well
nite loo hoo
Yeah, I have to live vicariously through watching it. I blew out my knee when I was 29 (no ACL, very little meniscus left) so I can’t play anymore, though I am teaching my 7-year-old, who seems to have inherited my love of the game. I was never much good really (I was quick but my small hands limited my ballhandling, and I was only an average shooter) but damn I love the game.
But I think people who wrap up their beings in watching it are the real nuts. It’s supposed to be fun, dammit.
lol
boa noite loohoo
Funny. Letterman introduced her and said “Born to Run” was from Spyboy, but it’s actually on Cimarron.
ouch! 8 knee surgeries here – the last one was total knee replacement – try to avoid getting one of those as long as possible david
Night. (for real now!)
gosh, jayt is another emmylou fan – he musta gone to bed early for a change since i don’t see him around tonight
I find that barnacles are very helpful in developing a thick skin. And that has been very helpful for enduring the Bush years.
but nevertheless it is easy to get too caught up in it and take the games too personally. I have been guilty of that (officiating from the heart kind of thing). I played in jr high and high school but didn’t want to play in college (go figure) but I also played soccer (kind of had to) but gave that up as well to sit on my ass and read world literature.
BTW way cool that your passing your love for the game along.
I just read this. Who is your boyfriend? (not that I’m an ESPN person and would know who he is)
So you understand trash talk. [grin]
8? wow
oh yeah *g*
Yes, the doc tells me that someday I’ll have one. Right now the joint looks funny, so that can’t be good. But I’m staving it off as long as possible. Bicycling has been good therapy.
I could have played through college but I had really lost my love for playing. Never lost it for watching. I’m trying to pass it along to mr but he is british and well I’m dragging him along slowly but surely *g*.
Funny, Karl The Genius Rove is now telling the world that Bush kept his spokesman for the Whitehouse “out of the loop”.
Turdblossom is as bad a liar as he is a strategist.
-G
took a full year before i felt like me again. that is the roughest surgery i’ve had. i’ve recovered from a 9lb 10 oz baby faster
He could also use a little help in the fashion department. Well actually I still want to know who the hell procreated with that man and created off spring.
wobbly, iirc, her b/f is involved in the filming of the games – maybe camera operator?
that made me cross my legs and do a few Kegel exercises
ahhh got it. thanks
Well, at least you two have soccer (or is it football?).
The Brits have never cottoned to bball. Now, the French, they love it. Aussies are very good players. But I don’t think they even have a pro league in the UK.
i’m sure mr wobbly will thank me (laughing)
David,
Here’s another reason to be proud of Seatle. Unfortunately, I don’t know how to link….but the top story today in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer is ” Firm’s unlikely client : Bin Laden’s ex-driver. Seattle lawyers taking on Bush, Guantanamo.
Oh yeah, they ROCK !!!!!!
And Perkins Cole of Seattle need us all to have their back. They are putting their belief in the Constitution on the line.
I bet you were younger then … [grin]
The worst part about growing old is that the body is so slow to recover now.
I have some friends in that firm. Yes, they’re doing the Lord’s work.
i was 34 when i had baby girl and 48 when i had TNR – those 14 years sure took their toll
I don’t think there is one either. But mr likes the continual action of the game. He is getting more into it as the years/seasons go by.
It is football but so as not to confuse the yanks (his words, not mine) we say soccer.
LMAO he thanks you for encouraging the ‘exercises’ LMAO
The toll was no doubt deepened by raising a teenager. [grin]
If we ever have kids, they would be better suited for basketball (height wise)
I saw her in…well, years ago and it was one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen.
ola margot
the toll was last night… as she drove here from utah (where she has been going to school). first time for that long a drive – utah to the monterey bay.
i was needing some of them industrial strength tranquilizers waiting
hey margot
teens are a piece of cake compared to the college years
What school in Utah? (I was born in Utah. And no, I’m not Mormon.)
dixie in st george. she is studying to be emt and eventual paramedic
I’ve seen her I think five times. Interviewed her once. Just a really fine person, not a prima donna at all, very down to earth. She has that rep in the biz, too. I think she just lives in an apartment in Nashville still; has never done the mansion thing.
My mother would totally agree with you
Ah, the lovely part of Utah. Lucky her. Does she do the outdoorsy stuff (Moab, Canyonlands, etc.)?
they can still be intimidated while a teen (and grounded)
hard to pull that off once they are out of the home living on their own – but that don’t mean i won’t be trying (laughing)
she’s working nites at a home for developmentally disabled adults so not a lot of time for outdoor activities between work, school and church. she is active in her evangelical church youth programs – lots of camping up on cedar mountain etc
sigh interviewed her face to face sigh
i bet her speaking voice is as lovely as her singing voice
Sounds very nice. There certainly are worse places to be. (Ogden, for example.)
Well, gang, I gotta be up in six hours to run the show, and I still have to make out the schedule for the doggies. It’s been fun. ‘Nite.
my mother was still able to wield some control but once we were over in Europe fuh-get-about-it (LOL)
g’nite david and it was great hanging in the comments with you
boa noite David
That high pure voice is just heaven to me.
Ola Wobbs, Suz and everyone!
nite david
waiting for mr to make our make shift bed (we’re buning downstairs with the pup so she won’t try to climb the stairs)
that’s it for me pups
mr says bed is ready and just in time.
a good night’s sleep, pleasant dreams and a beautiful tomorrow I wish you all
boa noite
boa noite wobblys
nite wobbly
Suz give it up she will do what she wants to do! The trick is that by now you have already made her ready to make her own choices… but it does feel good when they ask for advice…. but you have to always let her know that the final decision IS hers… At lest thats what I have done with all of them and we are still good friends:>)
Night one and all.
P.S. I take it the Bush gang has rented a fleet of buses that will be idling overnight in readiness for their bums rush on Scotty McLellan.
Put on a helmut Scotty.
-G
g’nite greg b
i gather her dad was really driving her nuts with his calls about where are you now. it was her first cross country solo drive
Good for her… Our youngest just drove up by himself from Carlsbad(girl friends house) he is home for the Summer and will be helping at the Summer session at the Music School… he is really good with the little ones.
she was so tired when she got here at 4:35 ca time that she brought in her suitcase and went to bed.
errr 4:35 am ca time
Sounds familar… when my oldest came down on the 17th he had just finished his shift at the ICU from 7 PM to & AM… He still stayed up till 2 am
Matt Taibbi on TDS with his new book – i hope we book it for book salon.. sounds like that would be a great book
The Great Derangement: A Terrifying True Story of War, Politics, and Religion at the Twilight of the American Empire
yeap, she said she slept 14 hours, woke up and decided to leave mon instead of the original plan of arriving tues. works for me (more time with her) but dayam, those were nervous hours for me.
I really liked his description of how he had infiltrated crazy right-wing groups, was it Rev. Hagee’s church that he joined? All for the purposes of research. Vomiting demons into a paper bag.
I take it at this hour there are no “spoilers”?
yep, infiltrated the great hagee and learned how to vomit demons out into a paper bag
it airs simultaneously on the west coast and hawaii so no more spoilers in this time zone
I wonder whether Hagee now has them vomiting the “McCain Demon” now that McCain has denounced him…
bwa-hahahaha
perhaps they add some parsley to the bag to help out their fellow denounced
Here’s a bit from his article about that for Rolling Stone
Jesus Made Me Puke
A question that may be even more interesting is whether, when McCain was cozy with Hagee, he was coached himself on the art of demon hurling…maybe when he says “My Friends” he is really speaking to his demons
*long green stream of pea-soup-looking stuff flys through the bottom of the barf-bag*
“Your mother eats kitty litter in Hell!”
Hey Suze, find the Detonator in the movie.
Hint – look for the cowboy shirt.
cowboy shirt in the band or in the crowd that guy?
black cowboy shirt with white trim that guy?
Playing guitar…I’m not the skinny guy
Yep. Playing the Telecaster.
Scanning through it now…
Cool That Guy!
Ah, derangement…My favorite state in the Union.
;>)
forking sweet dood. i’m gonna have to go on that blues cruise one of these years
hello everyone from Al The Spook.
Unfortunately, chimpy and darth are at it again.
Anyone who can get the ear of a senator or representative should jump on this like there was no tomorrow. because if this horse puckey goes down, there may not be.
No thirty….
I wouldn’t let McLegion touch me, that’s for sure.
Suzanne,
Are you sure that you’re a Republican?
I just read some earlier comments where you stated that you were Republican……
How can this be???
I love your posts and comments. I’m technically a full half circle from your philosophies. How can this be?
Alfred!
Nice to see you in here.
judas forking priest, al come in and blogwhore and not even say hi first after being gone for months!
Interview is done. It seemed that it went over well today. I’m just hoping that my honesty about my physical conditions don’t stop them from hiring me. The medications i’m on don’t blunt my ability to function at all, which i tried to emphasize. They truly appreciated the honesty, which was a plus. I just thought it was a professional thing to do, so they’d know about it out front. But we’ll see how it goes. Otherwise i’d likely be happy as a plain old technician handling the medications.
But they did seem to like me and the experience i had to offer. That at least was positive. I won’t be getting an answer until next week at the earliest. Roughly 10 to 14 days since they’re still conducting interviews through this week and all of next as well.
Alfred, so good to see you!
Republican, but not the radical asshole variety, if I may be so bold…
*tackleglomps* Welcome back!
i was rebelling against my father when i turned 18 and he was a dem.
i saw no difference between the parties and really just never bothered to change parties.
i like to think that even an old horse like me can learn and change.
Hey alias…
Whew!
fingers and toes crossed for ya alias. honesty is the best policy
How many guitars were there in that video anyway?
I liked the song a lot…
Somebody has to be straight enough to drive.
;>)
It’s not just a BLues cruise, it’s the DELBERT cruise. The best there is. :-D
Hee hee hee, many guitars…but I liked mine the best…
Really?
I had a feeling that all these labels of affiliation were moot.
I’m an Independent-forced to register as a Democrat.
Fuck the name tags. It all unites at the Constitution.
What do you do with a fresh badfull of demons? Is it party time in the chapel or what. Dey down der in Hagee land ketchin dem demoms. Hokay dokay docha be poppin my bag o demoms now… boss whut does we do now? Don’ G)
Great tune, too.
So glad you folks seem to be getting some run!
Laughin my ass off!
Oh that’s not us, that’s Delbert McClinton. The brief footage of me was from the late night jam on the Cruise. The rest of the band wasn’t there. I’d like it if they were there but that’s not likely.
There was a time when being a Republican didn’t mean abrogation of the Constitution, and denying people rights or charging into their bedrooms to officiate, or plundering the Treasury.
Most of those folks are gone now.
Newt, we DO have a gig in Dublin June 14, at the Dublin Sports Pub. C’mon out if you can!
If W and Dick actually decide to go a-venturing again down Iran way, d’ya think the votes are there in Congress to revoke (or else adjust carefully) the AUMF?
Uhmm,
Could you really say that ” straight enough to drive” thing when referring to the Republican party with a straight face?
Just wondering…..
Feinstein & Lugar seem poised to expose and plunder the whole enterprise.
I’m hoping they find the spine for it.
hey big brother – i saw your comment downstairs about wedding songs… i have a theme going on over at my place
You don’t know me very well, do you?
;>)
hey db
I have to say again…is Bags of Demons for real? That is psyco. What kind of fucking maniacs are these people???
War in Iran might bring America into the streets.
Al congats to you and your wife.
To the demon pukers ding-a-ling on that gong show.
i’m gonna have to buy that book and read about it. i sure hope we get matt here for book salon so we can question him about it. he said it was for real on tds.
I just want to thank all the regular commentators on FDL for your involvement.
Want to throw flowers and praise at all of you most wonderful people !!!
There are times when I feel like I know way too much to deal with “normal” people in a non-violent way. Seriously lonely.
Then I check into FDL and realize that I’m tough enough to deal with ignorant people. Because there are people much more qualified than me bringing focus to important issues.
I personally don’t care about political party affiliation .
Just give me the truth.
My new neighbors had their first baby girl last week at age 40…got 3 centimeters and after 30 hours of labor (lamaze)she had a C section. She is a physical therapist so knows how to recover… cept has to nurse every 2 hours and says it hurt like hell when nursing. Sleep deprivation. Any old wives wisdom?
i hear ya openhope and agree – just give me the truth and let me make my own decisions
Hey,
I don’t even know the symbols you did !
Give it to me straight Baby! Sounds like Bogart.
sleep when the baby sleeps
Don’t think of me as a symbol…I prefer to be loved for my mind.
;>)
hi, ndfg here (having issues logging in as myself so hijacking spook’s laptop). We’re suddenly in the middle of a PoppaSpook crisis, so AltheSpook can’t get back on the thread … paramedics are taking him to hosp. as i type. Seems to be diabetes/low blood sugar thing, not heart attack or stroke. But they’re taking him to hosp since they can’t easily get IV in him, being 92 creates its own set of problems. So for those of you who are willing, prayers and good wishes would be appreciated.
sigh. way too much excitement. ok, have to drive al to hosp, bye for now
If I was a Republican I would change brand so fast it would make your head swim. The political shit is about to hit the fan and when it gets momentum there will be hell to pay.
EmmyLou is just fine They got a little mountain music or blue grass in there and that is fine too.
All the best to you and Spook and Dad.
prayers for poppaspook
was wondering why al didn’t respond.. thanks ndfg
*hand on monitor*
i love your twisted mind.. it’s just like mine (laughing)
Okay darkblack,
with dial-up I got as far as the ugly-man photos and bailed.
Are you toying with me?
[ project symbol of ironic smile….]
i know i’ll change over eventually. my original plan was to do so when i move but that hasn’t happened yet…
so i vote progressive and/or vote against r’s i don’t want winning
How many R’s do you find yourself voting against because you don’t want them winning these days?
just asking…
My older son went to a friend’s church where they did some stuff like that.
Now he’s just the opposite, doesn’t believe anything he can’t see or touch.
I’ll have you know that’s the patron saint of these here parts…Holy Joe.
;>)
NDFG, hugs to the Spook clan and to you.
thanks.
My 14 year old pup likes getting out on morro bay in my row boat. He gets the front and I row on a slide seat. Just after sunset, the water was flat and the sky a deep dark blue and no wind. Perfect conditions for rowing. We went three miles had to hurry as the tide was waning. Builds a healthy appetite too.
I was thinking how you must have run up against some dossies in youe police career. Any like George W. Bush? That denial thing over the absolute whopper lies?
Yo!
Holy Joe is no saint. Hello, he’s Jewish. Well, kind of.
We need more, better saints!!!!!
joe aint no dem either
we more and better dems
yeah, ex #2 the fundy cop but i was able to secure my freedom. oh you meant when working (laughing) not too many meth freaks try to pull the w arrogance bullshit
that row sounds lovely. token has been known to surf on a piece of plywood and cross the river (shallow and slow moving) with it… hops off, explores the other side, runs and jumps back on it and returns to this side.
Yes we do. And this is exactly why FDL rules. Without the guidelines that have been laid down here, most of us would be clueless.
But no, we ROCK!!!!!
“Three chords and the truth”—The Edge
“You can’t handle the truth!” —Col. Jessup
I think the hot guitar player with EmmyLou is Albert Lee, legendary Brit, played a few years later a with Clapton.
That’s what it boils down to, doesn’t it?
;>)
ya think so? i wasn’t sure about rodney on other the guitar and don’t remember all the members of the hot band back then.
his own version of the killing fields
FORK… my typing is getting bad, i’m getting tired.
that should have been …about rodney on the other guitar…
We only want to serve mankind.
;>)
yanno db, you could adapt that last one to bush behind mccain pulling the strings
Possibly, S – but who is pulling Junior’s string? Let’s ask the Swami…
;>)
Well, I must say, as a music freak, wife of a music freak, parent of music freaks…it pains me to not have the music experience here.
My most beloved version of a song titled C’est la Vie was a dark and beautiful song by a male singer. And I’ll be damned if I can remember the band.
not the chuck berry version?
A darkblack link with “boils down” in it…nope, don’t think I’m going to click on that one!
ha!
i double dog dare ya
(besides, its not that bad and we have brand new double strength brain bleach -delivered today so its fresh)
This C’est La Vie?
she’s on dialup db.. that emerson lake and palmer version may well be it… very dark and beautifully done
Fuck !!!
Chuck Berry did this song?!
No, more like ….crap, can’t name it. The ultimate self-pity song,,Fuck, I so need high speed.
Was it Emerson Lake and Palmer?
link
Now, Margot, don’t pull a Tuttle.
;>)
chuck did it originally but i think the db version (look up) is the one you want. its a different c’est le vie, very dark and mournful and beautifully stirring
Formerly of the “Traveling Wilburies”, now travelin’ with the angels…greatest voice in popular music.
SPEW!!!
Oh yeah, you guys nailed it!!!
Emerson,Lake and Palmer.
How could I forget? Awesome concerts , by the way.
Thank you, it would have drove me crazy trying to place the voice with the song.
My favorite ” fuck I’m a victim of life” song EVER.
hey norske
The titles are the same, but the Berry and ELP numbers are two different songs…Also, Robbie Nevil did a pop confection with that title in the ’80’s – Not like ye olde daze.
;>)
sigh, what did I do?
That’s a beautiful song, and I’ve listened to a lot of ELP and don’t remember it. Thanks!
Yo Suzanne, wazuphere Firepups? I’m at work so I don’t wanna put up with anymore childish whinin’ from 60 year old adolescents who don’t have the grace or class ta know when they’ve had their asses kicked…or any of her narcotized followers.
Does anyone remember the Traveling Willburies?
norski, wiki says chuck berry is alive – if that is who you were referring to
No, the dark haired guy with the contra-tenor voice who sang with the Willuries until he died.
sure, george harrison, roy orbison, tom petty among others. i love tweeter and the monkey man
Willburies…sigh
Wow, I think you’re the only person to mention the “Traveling Wilburies” that I’ve known. Cool.
One of my favorite bands for working in my studio. That and the Village People.
Oh yes!
Shocked when Roy passed, and George really hurt.
Some band!
ROY ORBISON….SHE SHOOTS…SHE SCORES!!!
roy orbison? here’s the tw’s site
It figures that when Bob Dylan finally gets off ‘is ass and puts a good group of singin’ anarchists tagether they start dyin’ …sigh!
And probably because I have roots in the old, strange Brit Rock/Classical scene, I have always been a huge Jeff Lynne fan.
You momentarily traded a spirit of risky adventure for a degree of oblivious comfort.
;>)
But it’s all good, including the night.
And with that…goodnight, FDL.
nite db
g’nite db
And George Harrison’s two albums were incredible works a music…perfect combination of high art, poetry and music, words and pure sound…he a John Lennon made up the intellectual well of post WWII music.
*big sigh*
so many musicians have passed
Did you hear Democracy Now at noon today? Amy had her interview with Utah on the whole show. It was informative as I knew only what you had posted and that he needed assistance for his medical. Congestive heart failure is treatable.
What a life of service. He seemed very humnble about it all. Talked about the time an old wobbly convinced him of non violent resistance. The union busters were very brutal. Now they offshore the jobs.
Hope you are OK? Maybe you and Kirk could organize a 50 states resistance movement and get us back out on the streets of good ol USA. He would be good tonic for you.
Are ya into “Weather Report”?
Yes!
Listened to Live at Montreux Jazz a week ago in the car.
I don’t think I’ll be doin’ any real organizin’ but I’ll haul my ass offa the sofa and out inta the street when the young’uns call for bodies. Sigh…Utah Phillips, Woody Guthrie, Tom Paxton…all the way up ta John Prine…all gone…sigh
I remember I was driving down a road near Sarasota FL in Dec 1988 when I heard on the radio that Roy Orbison had died.
I had just came down from Ohio for a week to try and clear my mind and body from a bad breakup with a girl. Have always remembered that moment. I think a Thompson Twins song came on next.
but.. we have young ones like jubal lee young and james mcmurtry and todd snider and paul thorn (etc etc etc) to provide the new soundtrack for our lives
oh dayam, they didn’t even play roy after announcing it.
i remember hearing chris ledoux passed when i was driving past mt shasta on my way to the PNW.. they musta played a solid 30 minutes of his songs afterwards
I don’t think John Prine is ready to say “buh Bye”. He’s still with us.
prine is still around..here’s his site
Oh yeah…I was thinkin’ of Jim Croche…shit I only got 3 brain cellz left and I need 1 fer the left foot and 1 fer the right, only leaves 1 ta chew gum, play bridge and keep myself outta the crosswalk on the red.
Growin’ old ain’t so bad when ya consider the alternative.
I gottas go take care of some folks…I’ll ckeck back in a a bit…hange in there folks…you reall got somethin goin’ at nite here Suzanne.
jumping jehoshaphat… attaturk’s upstairs. time has flown tonight. thanks for hanging with me
g’nite all
nite suzanne
later norske
Oh we have much more than that. We have Anti-Flag, Against Us, Bad Religion, Benjamin Talent. I’m the mother who listens to these next generation bands.
Such nice young people, so progressive….
Progessive Latin Jazz? Had an album was great.
Saw John Prine in 76′ in Houston, a club in Montrose I think. I was pretty much alone, doing construction, not liking Houston at all, so the evening with John was a welcome one.
Growin’ old ain’t so bad when ya consider the alternative.
Wow Norske that is a classic.
broke the mold
i’m outa here. nite pups
So if the last comment was 5 minutes ago…does this mean that I , Openhope, have the last word?
The last word is….Peace. Work harder against the fascist takeover of our beloved country. Now is not the time to remain comfortable. Realise your potential.
Okay, awesome. Let’s roll………..
ok – I missed the thread, but GREAT Emmylou find there Suz. What, have you got YouTube Gold or something? How did I miss that one?
And from over here in the chauvinist corner, may I just comment on how gorgeous we think Emmylou looks?
And finally, an update: Emmylou is still not returning my calls.
ndfg here: back from the hosp to get some sleep, PoppaSpook has been admitted, sleeping peacefully, they’re not sure if it was low blood sugar related to diabetes complicated by age or if it might be a mild stroke. So they will do tests today. Al is understandably upset. Thanks to all for prayers and thoughts, we’ll keep you posted.
