Lesser evilism was less revered back then, they had more hope for authentic change.

I also am an avid hater of Raider nation so I’m with you on that one.

But I’ve always hated the Lakers because I was a Sonics fan all my life. Do you know how many playoffs we lost to those guys? No, it’s not a rational thing, of course — but sports fandom isn’t rational anyway. You love your team, you hate others (I hate the Raiders, too, as a longtime Seahawks fan). There are always teams you love to hate.

That doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate great players. I hate the Yankees but I appreciate Derek Jeter. I actually really liked Magic but couldn’t root for him. So I probably shouldn’t take it out on Kobe but (a) he has kicked me in the gut emotionally probably one time too many and (b) he’s been a jerk about it.
