Just for that I am going to go to bed early.
LMAO It was a Zed conspiracy, CT. /s
I did rather enjoy your pithy argument for why it should be dead, but, not if I can help it…! ;-)
John McCain was an angry asshole before he was captured in Vietnam. Just as Bush was an angry asshole before capturing the presidency.
Let’s see some Diggs for ES’s fine lineup tonite!
Damn…. that FDR special just sucked me in….. it will be on for another 1.5 hrs….. ok…. heading off to bed….Nite All…
OMG they advertised a Frontline special on the candidates….. full in depth stories….. will have to see just how in depth
dugg and thanks
Maybe Wigwam will share with y’all.

Great jam!
The Zed Bread is Risen!
Bring out your Zed!
Bring out your Zed!

Johnny Cash, Mark O’Connor, Marty Stuart, and Travis Tritt
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XKKqKlyV6M
But I’m not Zed yet!
Bring out your inner Zed.
ES, with the lineup you found for us my first stop in the AM is the ‘net cafe.
Thanks!
You’ve been eating GA vidallias and fresh peaches, VG.
So funny, tw3k!
Hey Kirk, these guys remind me of SF and why a three day visit turned into ten years of residence..)
zeddy’s dead
Wow. If I watch does that mean I can’t move out of the house I rent ’til 2018?
So?
I fergot the open tag.
/s
SIng this three times and let us know how it all works out. *g
…but we knew that
Whoops, I almost forgot you are on dial-up.. It’s Dear Landlord..
Poor Zed is dead, a candle lights his head
He’s looking oh so peaceful and serene
His heart was made of gold and he wasn’t very old
Oh why did such a fellow have to die…
FITZ!
the original zed
HA!
Thanks ES!
a zed by any other name would still be a zed
I have few of those to remember fondly.
in the history of the zed, before fitz, wasn’t there frist?
CRS.
Post Thurmond.
I recall in the distant past a certain Frist thingie. Hazy though.
Evening, ES, Suzanne and Pups.
How’s everyone?
FunnyD
That was a great, great YouTube, ES.
Good evening, FunnyD.. Doing very well here.. Full moon, and the first summer night with the attic fan on and windows open wide.
You wanna see angry asshole, wait ’til Bob Barr gets his buns in gear.
I am so glad you liked it.. Sometimes I worry I may be selecting to many Hillbilly tunes for firedog tastes.
hey funny d… cooler today with 80’s projected for tomorrow. then, alas, supposed to heat up again by the weekend
2nd amendment – you have the right to gear buns.
It’s fine by me Bud.
I’m sooo looking forward to his entry into the fray…! Peel off those possible McCain votes…! ;-)
We’re an eclectic bunch! No worries! ;-)
Well, it was a bluegrass combo, but isn’t Limehouse Blues more of a jazz standard? I’m pretty sure Stephane Grapelli used to play it.
Whatever you want to spin is fine with me.
OK, wandering over to see what K O has to say. l8r.
FunnyD
what’s a dawg to do?
Love it!
I had a room-mate who liked bluegrass way back in the early 70s, so I got introduced to it a while ago.
This was my grandpa’s favorite song, Keep on the Sunny Side.
link
just as long as you don’t lose your bearings
Thank ye.
Now, just fer shits and giggles, I got a 24.
Jazz it was, originally.
Howie Klein sent me that CD once upon a time, after a BA donation. I still love – Will The Circle Be Unbroken – Nitty Gritty Dirt Band version, best of all.
fork, i got 18.1
fork, i read that wrong.. average is 18.1.. i got 25 (blowing smoke off keyboard)
Very good!
I forked up on at least one.
Kinda interesting though, ain’t it?
i know i clicked on at least one wrong answer by mistake… that dayam clock
Funny you mention that, my dad loved that version. That always tickled me.
22.. I didn’t notice the clock, so I didn’t answer one at all.
22 also. And I don’t give a hoot where Carlsburg beer comes from.
There was a clock?
Heh, 26 myself, Suz…! ;-)
after I noticed the clock I started to mess up. Test anxiety or stoopidity.
Just an update on the varmint,
she just climbed up and flopped over on my lap and said, “Pet Me Now.”
She was walkin’ all over my keyboard a while ago.
I think we is friends now.
Sadly, I must admit, the Pakistani language question was one I didn’t know the answer.
i took it twice and did worse the second time around. Geeeeeeez.
Keyboard envy is a very good sign..)
whatever happened to wob’s kitten?
Urdu! ;-)
28. off-day.
Thanks..!
26
Whatever that means
Sweet..
She said her mom made a little handkerchief carrier for it and it slept in it all day…i think that was yesterday. It’s doing well, last I heard.
Prolly cuz you knew who sang that stupid rap song.
Smarty-pants…! 8-P
Some smart individuals in this place, proud to be associated with ya.
SPEW!!!
Same here, Gnome! ;-)
what was the max, anyway?
At least you an me tied. We be almost as smart as Punaise. But only cuz we talk only 1-1/2 languages, not two like him.
When he was a USA, nothing got between him and a camera. Mean as a rattler. Toss in the ACLU gig for color. Tweety will be orgasmic.
must be the r’s on the other side of that 18.1
fringe benefit to having teenagers in the house
42
Heh, That one threw me for a loop…!
thx mary
22 here.
And I do have a son who likes rap, but all I know is Biggy.
Oh yeah.. What was the Nissan Subaru question?
He’s always a riot to see in action… The only time I was not interested in him was when he was a House manager for the impeachment of Bill…
My cat is smarter than the average Gooper, it doesn’t shit where it eats.
I’m going to head to bed in a bit, but I wanted to share my laugh for the day with you all: http://www.chron.com/apps/comi…..me=Bizarro
Listed a model name and asked for the make – Nissan, Mitsubishi, Subaru.
No clue.
27
Good nite, all
g’nite gnome and neuro
it’s like frichin’ Lake Wobegon around here – we’re all smarter than average…
Aargh, not McInsane on TDS!
Me either.. the rapper info and the auto models are not my forte’..
I didn’t like that one either.
Aloha, Gnome and neuro!
And don’t forget good looking!
sub-Urdu
That’s WHY we are here, IMO.
smarter than the average bear.
*groan*
Utah photog captures own javelin-spearing accident at track meet
OK, I’ll go to bed now.
1 out of 2
I clicked on Holland for the unknown beer.. Since Amsterdam was all about Art Museums, Guinness, and fondue for me.. (among other things)
..and if one of our old pals shows up with a cat, we’re talking sub-Urdu Nate claws.
Heh, Guinness is a British beer, ES! ;-)
Back from chicago here. Had a great time, and one of the things i found great while i was walking to Union Station after taking the Blue Line from O’Hare? There were people from Obama’s campaign doing voter registration right there on the streets. On the other hand, there was a panhandler about my age or 5 years younger begging for food. That made me a bit mad in turn, but i couldn’t spare anything to help him either. He wanted leftovers, but i didn’t have food on me beyond enough for me to snack on.
Other than that? A great trip, with a few excellent finds in merch (just little items) that i really, really wanted. Along with some extra items i needed to properly wear my kimono, which i did on saturday with much joy. XD (now i just need to learn how to tie the damned obi properly!)
Yeow!
And what is this quiz you guys are taking and talkin’ about besides.
EDIT i want you back! *sighs*
dublin, ireland to be exact
The coach said, “One of the first things that came to my mind was, ‘Good thing we brought a second javelin,”……
I bet the second thing was “Walk it off.”
I called it breakfast. *s
I recalled visiting the Carlsberg brewery in Scandanavia, and since I’ve never been to Sweden it had to be the other choice, Denmark. Note the elephant’s icon.
Aloha, Alias! Batteries recharged? Any word on the job? ;-)
woohoo, alias! was there a message for you from the job when you got home?
This quiz
Swastika ?
I had to pause after I submitted it, you’re right! ;-)
Time to scoot the varmint over and crawl into the fart sack.
Gnite you beautiful and amazingly intelligent people.
nite busted
Aloha, BK!
g’nite busted
G’ nite Busted.
colloquial French for “time to hit the hay”:
il est temps de mettre la viande au torchon,
which translates roughly as “it’s time to put the meat in the cloth sack”
Hang it up?
I want a goodnight kiss first!
Lol.
ES, Yer Alright dude.
Art? Perfect.
Gnite now.
yes, i think they’re recharged but i’m still nervous about the job. I got the call–but i wasn’t around to be present for the interview. I left her a voicemail on thursday when i was in transit via my cell, so i expect the call tomorrow as planned. Hopefully i can plan for the interview ahead of time, which should work out. I just can’t remember my full work schedule for this week. >_< </p>
It was good to be away for so long, and to see those old friends and meet a few new ones. I got approached to find out if there were plans for a fanpanel next year by me and my partners in crime again. Always a good feeling when we get requests for stuff like that, all that research paid off.
Still dealing with the road fatigue at the moment, which isn’t as bad as it was last year.
yeah – for cured/air dried meats
ah, tuck it. :~)
My score? 19 on the dot, no percentages. *blinks* Amusing that i knew most of the pop culture stuff and my nipponphile hobby was an asset for a few other questions.
The Rap question: proud (I guess) to at least recognize the names…
Right on! Sorry, I had to step away for a few! ;-)
Grover on Colbert…??? Dang, First, McInsane on TDS now Norquist…! C’mon they can do better than that, right?
ct, aint it rerun week?
I watched a hawk catch a pretty large snake today. Looked to be about five feet long. The strange thing is I saw a hawk catch a giant snake in almost the exact same location a couple of years ago.
Is it? I didn’t get the memo…! ;-)
Well folks, time to peel myself away from the screen and go soak in that full moon for a spell..
g’ nite fabulous dogs
nite eureka
g’nite es
Aloha, ES! Well, I shall bow out too…! Aloha Oe!!!

time for me to do dishes and the other chores that erase my presence. g’nite all
G’night, ES and CT and belated goodnights to bustand everyone else.
And I’m out, too. Cable guy is scheduled to show up between 8 and 10 tomorrow morning.
Oh, and Suz, we got the same score on dat quiz thingy. I was happy until someone said the maximum was a 42.
FunnyD
nite suz
peeling off myself
nite pups
I’ve been reading a lot about the fast-rising food prices around the world and how it isn’t entirely related to rising oil prices.
So, with our need to grow the economy it would seem the ideal time to do away with some subsidies and encourage people to grow more food grains to sell to the world.
Can we encourage Congress to put a provision back in the “Farm Bill” to end subsidies?
Do Progressives and Liberals see this as an important issue?
Ah, Limehouse Blues, one of the all-time great tunes —and making a comeback lately, or at least I seem to be hearing it a lot from my listening venues. Love it!
Now this is what I call an all-star lineup. Thanks, Eureka!
