selise & ctuttle – I sure hope signs like the number of carrier groups in the gulf and certain failed propaganda efforts indicate a decreased likelihood of the aggression they so clearly yearn for.

but, wouldn’t it be nice to have an opposition party that could be counted on to strenuously oppose such madness?

And, I am curious whether blogs like fdl and others in the ’sphere are genuinely ‘progressive’ – are they able to put issues like social justice and opposition to the insanity of state murder over and above the electoral success of the (D) faction in even numbered years?

According to Seymour Hersh, a guy who has seen it all and does not mince words at this stage in the game:

When I asked Hersh who wants to bomb Iran, he said, “Ironically there is a lot of pressure coming from Democrats. Hillary Clinton, Obama, and Edwards have all said we cannot have a nuclear-armed Iran.
