Bill Richardson for VP? Great way to bring women back into the fold.

How about these VPs:

1) Sebelius
2) Jane
3) Marcy
4) Redd
5) Digby
6) Napolitano
<strike>7) Katherine Harris</strike>

Too many bridges burned for HRC in my humble opinion. And too much of a lightning rod to get the Republican vote out.

The one thing to say for Hillary is that she’s completely transcended gender. I don’t think anyone is against her because she’s female and only a small vocal minority of her supporters support her for that reason. In fact, I’d say her vaunted “hard-working white” base is for her in spite of her being female.

. Bill Richardson for VP? Great way to bring women back into the fold. Just say “Whizzer White” three times, click your heels and maybe you’ll be back in Kansas, too.

Not to mention Bill’s pro baseball career that may have been interrupted by sniper fire.

Does this mean we get to watch Laura as she drinks glass(es) of wine and ponders eating egg salad sandwiches?

Cause, I really thought that was SUCH cutting-edge stuff, that Vlogging….

In fairness, Bill Richardson recanted pretty quickly once told of his error on White:

But Richardson recalled a blunder that earned him criticism — naming Byron “Whizzer” White as his model Supreme Court justice.

He said he named White because the justice was nominated by John F. Kennedy, whom the governor said was his idol.

“Then I found out that Whizzer White was against Roe vs. Wade,” he said referring to the landmark Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion. “And he was against civil rights.

“That wasn’t a good one,” Richardson deadpanned. This won him laughter and applause.

It’s also telling who he chose when asked by Brian Williams to choose a living justice:

MODERATOR BRIAN WILLIAMS: We’d like to ask the same question of all of you, down the line, in order, and it calls for you to say a name or to pass. And Governor Richardson, we’re going to start with you. The question is, your model Supreme Court justice.

GOV. RICHARDSON: It would be Justice Whizzer White.

MR. WILLIAMS: How about someone who is among the living? (Laughter.)

GOV. RICHARDSON: It would be — and in this particular case, Judge Ginsburg, who said that this was an erosion of a woman’s right to choose and degraded the ability of a woman to protect herself health-wise.

Laura Flanders has published a handy dandy new post that purports to be a Sneak Preview of Grit TV-Delegates! from AgitProp! I have a feeling this is another one of those “learning curve” thingies that we go thru from time to time when new posters are learning how to time their posts!

1,840 DAYZ AND THE KILLIN’ GOEZ ON AND ON AND…

Citizen Hamsher and the Firepup Freedom Fighters:

Pardon me for not joinin’ the gleeful stoning of another fascist hippocrate but why should I be interested in the trials and tribulations of another wing-nut shill unless it’s gunna bring me and my family national single-payer health care, RICO prosecutions against Bush, Cheney and Blackwater and war crimes trials at the Hague?

The extent of the corruption of our society and our politics has made it impossible ta stay focused on what is really important…like frogmarchin’ Rove, Cheney, Bush and a cast of thousands before federal magistrates. Now THAT is some theater that would make a difference!!

KEEP THE FAITH AND PASS THE AMMUNITION, FIRST WE SCARE THE SHIT OUT OF ‘EM THEN WE VOTE ‘EM INTO OFFICE AND THEN WE TEACH ‘EM HOW TA SHOOT!!

I cannot decide which Senate race is my favorite for “biggest sleeper:” North Carolina or Texas. Both incumbents so richly deserve defeat. Since I actually met Rick Noriega, I guess I’ll pick him as “most surprising underdog.” Just think how a Cornyn defeat will improve the average IQ of the world’s greatest deliberative body!

But seeing Liddy lose will also be very sweet.

Maybe Obama will pick Webb and McCain will pick Miss Lindsay Graham, and we can have some really rousing Veep debates with Lindsay clutching her shawl tightly around her shoulders and Russert having to revive her with smelling salts as Webb pounds her into the ground.
