10? Did ya miss me…? ;-)
How was the Surf and Turf?
only if ya brought back surf and turf for all of us…
excellent.
but not exactly going to put me to sleep. :)
Did everybody, buy me know that Chevron named a 129,000-ton oil supertanker, the SS Condoleezza Rice, she was a director in the 1990’s. Not every woman would want a 129,000-ton ship named after her. It was renamed after she got with Bush II.
FORK.. the link didn’t take… trying again
Only if the toobz could handle it…! :-0 Mama-san enjoyed it, so “Mission Accomplished!”
lullabye
I did! I’ve been saving something for you. (It’s a two-fer.)
are you-all reading DCLaw1’s Republican Superfriends Battle For Telecom Immunity? from Part IV
thank you!
leadbelly!
Old news. Funny how they kept that news out of the MSM. Especially prior to elections. All about oil. Stealing it and clipping the public.
He doesn’t see her in his dreams, he GETS her in his dreams!
selise, i’ve not heard of that before… is it satire?
Hey selise.
Well, I am now!
Heh, kewl, wangdang! The first looked like it was recorded on a gramophone…! ;-)
suz and newt!
it’s hilarious. chris is a long time (and excellent) commenter at glenn’s. just started his own blog recently.
Didn’t he just start up his blog from Glennzila’s place…?
Happy Mothers Day to ya darlin’, and all the rest of the Mommies too.
Dang, we crossed in the toobz…! ;-)
i see you are still alive after running into the ex…
Hey, is Baby on your lap full time now?

Laying right next to me with the motor running.
Here’s a Pepsi…! ;-)
no coke, pepsi
So when does the tormenting begin…? ;-)
I had to laugh, she took one look at me and was GONE!
LMFAO!
She looked at me and saw I knew what she was up too.
rovics says, “drink beer and smash the state!”
Naw, this one is too old, she is a sweetie, I’ll have to get a kitten and kill two birds at one time.
Thanks! Bookmarked to read in the morning…
g’nite friends!
in heaven there ain’t no beer
g’nite wangdang and thanks for the lead
I ain’t going then.
Of course, it pretty much ain’t my decision last I heard.
Aloha, WangDang!
oh geez… shuddering at the thought of busted getting to name another animal…
Heh, I like your philosophy, “I don’t know what I’m doing 5 minutes from now…” Aah… The good old days, for me…! ;-)
Shoot, I almost lost my beer… 8-P
I don’t think I’ll name it after a certain website you enlightened me about, if that makes ya feel any better……..
sorry dood.. i was trying to say that politely
exhaling.. that is exactly what i was thinking busted (laughing)
newtonusr: Discs ship tomorrow. We had a good time last night but I’ve been exhausted all day. Turned off the phone, napped twice.
that guy – when ya come up for air, email me with an address to send my check for a cd please.
Excellent!
Thanks much!
Just so there is no misunderstanding, I have had cats I named Shithead, Fuckhead, CockBite and Bitch.
Baby was the first one I could call late at night without funny looks from the neighbors the next day.
I loved every one of ‘em too.
Tell us about Hayward…
and this is the website we were talking about
Hayward. Is that the name of a band or a city?
Hey Guys!!! I’m still working on getting fat. Eatin’ guac all nite.
Even I have certain standards.
hey mary mcc.. happy mother’s day
Hey Mary!
Ray and the Detonators (ThatGuy) played their CD release party in Hayward last night.
Damn, now I did lose my beer… I could just visualize BK in search of his kitty…! 8-)
Happy M’day back at you Suz.
Hey Newt and all.
My unauthorized photo from the Royal Wedding.
Good stuff!
LOL!
spew
That’s a very convenient headstone for Stupie.
I live to serve.
;)
Mr. ThatGuy, your music is teh hot.
Damn, I am really likin’ this Ray and the Detonators!
mary, not sure why your comment got caught but it is now free. when that happens, give me a few to retrieve it before trying again..
I got a moderator thingie. How strange. I thought I was being entirely appropriate.
Y’know, had I a little more time right now, I could turn that minister into Jeremiah Farrakhan Wright in PhotoShop.
Help them, dear lord.
see me above you :)
NSA. They are after me.
just cause you are paranoid doesn’t mean they. . . . .
I knew I liked you.
Insert evil laugh here.
they are good. i’m still waiting to see a youtube
The feeling is mutual.
did you not share your guac with your nsa monitor?
I’ll bet she did.
They’re probably squeegeeing it off the windshield now.
Well, I have ta git up and go to That Place tomorrow.
First I have ta exctricate the cat from next to me. she’s a good kitty.
Gnite y’all.
Let’s see…
We played our asses off…great gig, and I’m by far our worst critic. We sold some CDs and I think we made some fans out of the curious. I think all the work has paid off – we have a damned good band with our own sound and not just a garden-variety bar band playing “Mustang Sally.” I have a great comeback for folks requesting stuff we don’t like, I got from the great Fred Eaglesmith: “Nothing says request like a $100 bill. :-D
We have a gig next month at the Dublin Sports Pub but that’s a lot farther from R.C. It’s listed on the MySpace.
hahahaha that would explain mary’s comment getting caught…
Heh, like I had to grab some paper towels just a bit ago…! ;-)
nite busted
G’evening, pups! Hope all the moms had a great day.
I’ll be reading here and editing a manuscript for tomorrow. Hope some of you will be up for awhile.
FunnyD
g’nite busted
*raising hand* i will be
Another take on Teh Wedding
Aloha, busted!
He tries to pretend that I am not on to him.
remind me as it gets closer and june is most definitely after the wedding so it may well be doable.. pretty much the same distance for me
R.C.?
that guy – last night, kteh played the jimmy reed tribute with jimmie vaughan and delbert. be sure to look for it. iirc, it was soundstage
san francisco bay area shorthand for redwood city
tap tap… is this thing on?
Shoot me an e-mail and I’ll let you know how you can get a copy of the CD.
Yep! I think so…! ;-)
I see you :)
hey suz
trying (and failing miserably) my hand at Photoshop…
*towel thrown in*
Heh, I was just going to ask if anyone was still around.
I’ll be back soon…almost finished editing!
FunnyD
Wish I’d known, I’d have recorded it But today I was too whupped to do anything but eat and vegetate. My phone got stuck under the seat of my truck and I was too damn tired to fish it out.
Staying up that late doesn’t have as much appeal as it used to have. :-D
just wanted to know how many slices to cut?
look for it in reruns.. now that kqed owns kteh, you can find kteh stuff on kqed’s digital channels (if you have comcast)
thanks suz-
hungry again…
Ah. So it hasn’t gotten simpler and more intuitive to use?
Maybe we can sic tw3k or darkblack on it.
FunnyD
The CD is out there now.
Time to relax.
Aww, I was just gonna say With friends like these…
I noticed ya had it in the box already…
It would not be of any help. Artistically, I’m all thumbs.
*the vision thing*
finished frosting it.. black forest cake anyone?
this will help sooth ya, ct
Looks a lot more edible than the pie, Suz…! ;-)
O heck, are you kidding? I have to get promo copies out to KPIG (hey Suze, think they’d play it?), Twangzine, No Depression and a zillion other places to try to get it reviewed.
I’m sending one to Delbert McClinton on the off chance they’ll like it enough to invite us on the Cruise.
[judytenuta]IT COULD HAPPEN![/judytenuta]
Hmmmmm, Mamma! You still bakin? Now I’m sorry I loaded up on smoky cheddar cheese spread. I don’t think I can manage more than a slice or two…
Looks completely divooooon. The whipped-cream for sticky-cherry-stuff seems like an inspired trade-off.
FunnyDiva
that guy, you are playing americana and you are semi local to the pig… can’t hurt.. maybe send it to sleepy john since he books their please stand by on sun mornings… maybe it will get ya a slot there one sun morning, live in the sty
This sounds like an interesting day at the beach…
baking has gotten me through rough patches before.
the combination of chocolate, cherries and whipped cream… simply irresistible
The Three Stooges defense!
Heh, heh….
happy mutters day miss mary!
hey NPB
Oh yes, please….a nice plump slice? ummm ummm
I’ve had a 6 foot hammerhead circle me while I was snorkeling once… I carefully made a beeline for the shore… Still gives me the willies…!
(singing)
He’s got hiiiigh hopes, he’s got hiiiiigh hopes
he’s got high, standin’ by in the styyyyyy hopes!
(/singing)
Oh. I get it KPIG. sty. of course. I think this station must have come online after I moved away from Silicon Valley.
FunnyD
thx for the cake, mffff, mffff, good. (gulp).
Well, sorry it’s still a rough patch for you. Glad baking helps, though. Did the neighbor kid enjoy the pound cake? (or was that someone else trading baked goods for chores?)
Choc, cherries, real whip cream. Yeah, baby. Glad I hadn’t gotten to my silly-old box-cake/tub frosting dessert yet. Home made is sooooo much better!
FunnyD
where ya around in the KFAT days? KPIG is the child of KFAT when passed.
i always liked that dayam song
ooh. didn’t realize hammerheads were dangerous, too. Must be forgetting my Jacques Cousteau shark specials. I think I’ll stay outta the surf for awhile, just in case. Ok, yeah, the water’s awful cold in my part of the world, too.
FunnyD
here’s the sty’s link funnyd
cold down here too… wetsuits even in the summer cold
I got a hog call for you baybah, here on 107 oink five!
FORK… i screwed that up.. this is the real link
Ah. Yes, I think I remember KFAT. And there used to be two classical stations. And I’m not surprised KQED absorbed KTEH.
FunnyD
They’re not, but, I didn’t take too kindly to the special attention I was getting…! ;-) Tigers are the one’s you need to be very wary of…!
Thanks Suze, will do. Any luck on moving the house?
Capitola? Santa Cruz? Half Moon Bay?
No kiddin’ honey. That ocean doesn’t warm up until south of Santa Barbara, so even at college in SLO town it was chilly wading out.
My sis is in San Diego and she wears a wetsuit to surf even there–says you can stay out longer.
FunnyD
you can allegedly still listen to kfat according to this link..
LOL. Sounds like fun. Up here we have Jack FM “we play what we want”. They have fun with the name, too.
FunnyD
*sigh* no calls for showings in several weeks now. i did have a few cars stop in front and pick up the flyer on the sign this afternoon but they were probably lookie loos.
no calls. *another sigh*
santa cruz area is 100% in the wetsuit zone
We only wear wet suits to keep from getting burnt to a crisp…! ;-)
only because the cost of sunscreen, like everything else in paradise, is prohibitive…
Sour grapes…? ;-)
Well, I shall bid a fond adieu! Aloha Oe!!!
betcha grapes cost double there
aloha ct
nite tuttle
I want to go to New Zealand, where they make the world’s finest Savignon Blancs. Damn that’s good stuff.
‘Night, CT!!!
i wanna go there too. maybe we can get political asylum there if mcsame wins in nov
The notion of possible asylum had not escaped me. I’m told that their sheep herds are so large that they can be seen from the space shuttle, and that sheep vastly outnumber humans.
FWIW the housing market throughout Monterey County is also in da tank including (she says in the spirit of frontier justice) even Rupert Murdoch’s princely priced private coastal gated relatively new brave-faced local realtors still insisting all will be well market-wise by summer.
my agent has that same brave face. i tell her its her job to be optimistic… i’ve really got no hope of it selling left and am just going through the motions.
Hey, wigwam
I hear the bungee jumping is pretty good there in NZ, too.
One of my favorite wine labels these days is “Screwed” from MacLaren Vale in Aus. The red is good, and the pink is destined to be a summertime classic. And how can ya miss with the attitude?
OK. I’ve got an invite to breakfast in the AM, so I’m off to bed. Thanks for the good company, pups!
G’night
FunnyD
Gotta love the wisdom of the unseen hand!
7.5 quake in china
g’nite funnyd
They may have started a craze. I recently read in the LA Times that so prestiege lable in France was going to screw caps. Gotta luv them kiwis. And, damn, they make some fine savignon blancs!
A whopper, suz!
7.0 in 1996
this one had to have been felt in burma, nepal and other countries that border southeastern china
8.2 in 1976, followed by 7+ aftershocks
Hundreds of thousands dead.
Wow! Impressive devastation, followed by impressive releaf effort for 1999.
You funny. But at least I know what kind of wine to get should you come to visit. Wait… that was…what was it? Blanc des blancs?
Actually, the Germans have been putting decent wines under screw tops for decades now. Intrinsically they make good sense, it’s just taken some time to overcome the down-market image here in the US. The best tag I’ve seen on a screw top was on Big House Red: It was a really long screw shaped like a question mark. Somehow it really appealed to the naughty side of my sense of humor…
FunnyD
Sen. Barack Obama’s town hall meeting appearance on Saturday in South Bend, Oregon now on CSPAN 1 with a wildly enthusiastic and oh so white turnout. ;~)
iir, southeastern china is not as heavily populated as western china is
g’nite all.
thanks for another swell sunday.
nite Teddy
g’nite teddy
i’m outta here too, pups. gotta erase all signs of my presence here and then work some more on the bride’s wedding gift. g’nite all and thanks for hanging with me tonight.
nite suzanne
My now favorites are the NZ Savignon Blancs. SB has always been my favorite white, but the New Zealanders have gotten it right, grassy and herbacious. My favorites are Dog Point and White Haven followed quickly by Kim Crawford and Cloudy Bay. Dry Lands ranks in there too, followed by seveal others. Also, the one time I tasted Sacred Hills, it was very good, but I’ve not yet had another opportunity.
nite suzanne and newton
ut oh – Frances, our petite and angel-faced kitty (who may or may not be the feline sister of Suz’ kitty) appears to have cornered fresh prey. Damn, what a racket they are making and happily mrbrat is outta bed and on the scene with our garden hose in hand. jeeze…….
Sweet dreams Teddy, Suz, newt and other sleepy pups I may have missed!
FDL: A Link with Sanity in these waning days of the Bush/Cheney criminal cartel.
Amen!
Hey Margot!
leaving now, but i am watching washington journal replay from this morning – a lady called in to berate gooper strategist Kevin Madden with McCain’s flying exploits, and in summary said that with his record of having crashed 5 jets, owed the taxpayers millions!
they just let her wander.
gahd i love c-span
nite all
